- How can you explain the gap in a resume is one of the most asked questions in recent times. This question is asked in an interview to test the confidence of an interviewer if he can correctly justify the gap in his resume with proper reasoning.
It's not a matter of concern if you have a gap in your resume and you are able to defend it.

what if the reason is because I couldn't find a job?
Yes it can happen, you have to be honest and show that you have used the time to constantly up skill yourself, hope this helps

I completed Hotel management in the year 2009, then I worked for 4 years later I got married in yr 2013 after a gap. of 2 years, I started working for 2 years but due to a bad marriage, I couldn't work in the meanwhile I completely MBA in HR. Now finally got divorced. I would like to resume my career. How justify all these gaps? Job is the only option to survive and will keep me motivated to live life without dependency.

My reason is that I was looking for jobs, but didn't get, but how to reframe this in a proper way?
I signed an NDA which included that I cannot discuss the organization I worked for, the duties performed, and any achievements that I had while working there. Simple
I find this a good example but wont they need a proof like offer letter at such or does this example cover that?
As per my experience most interviewer Don't entertain the exam prep gap year no matter if they find you good fit for the job or not they think that he/ she will leave our organisation because of the exam again so eventually they don't hire that candidate
why cant they accept real reason behind of break ? we r humans
They will accept only thing you can do is upskill yourself because Skill is the only game

Problem is not explaining gaps but getting interview or shortlisted for job
If u have good resume then doesn’t matter u will be shortlisted in interview they will ask you about gap if u have gap

Yes you can perfectly say that you have taken some time off due to Medical Emergency and it’s okay to take some time off. The most important point is skill, if you up-skill yourself doing some course, program it’s okay.

Tell them you were pursuing a difficult degree which could not be completed in time e.g CA

In my experience, whenever someone say there was a career gap, the immediate response from recruiter is "sorry we can't hire you"

I've got a 9 month career gap. I was actually learning to get into IT, so I learnt Devops. But things didn't go as planned because people with no experience in IT aren't being considered for the role of devops engineer. Previously I used work as Customer support and sales executive, Voice process. Now I've no choice but to get into the same role. I got rejected once for saying the truth and once for lying. Can I get some help as to how to justify. (Got reject in the last round in both the companies. My skills are really good tho)

When you do courses or certifications (Via Coursera, Udemy etc) you get a certificate which you can show as proof.
