Dave, you usually get thousands of comments. I'm not sure the order in how they show up but I felt it was important you knew this. Left it as a separate comment too. @ 21:44 Dave, this floored me. Gallipolis, Ohio is directly across the Ohio River from Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Yes, that Point Pleasant Mothman. This is also not to far from where I currently live & very, very near where a DNA sample was acquired for the Ketchum DNA study. Can't thank you enough for sharing this specific article. My Dad's family actually lived in this area during this time period. Wonder if they knew? Incredible!
Edit - Dave this info is specifically for you. Since 2008, my family has had experiences. Without going into a lot of detail here, I've shared this privately with Scott. I've often wondered if this area is significant possibly a portal. Two major rivers come together near Gallipolis (Ohio River) & Point Pleasant (Kanawha River). It's also the location of a lot of blood shed with the Shawnee & in particular Chief Cornstalk. It's been shared that the Chief cursed the area. Yes, we've heard that same story before. Then Mothman & the collapse of the Silver Bridge. Didn't think you realized the coincidence with Gallipolis. Sure is strange! Thank you very much for sharing that specific article. I've also wondered why Sasquatch chooses who they have encounters with. They are usually elusive. Know most encounters seem to be because Sasquatch allows people to see them. Many times that happens after research and/or gifting. But what about those people who didn't have an interest or want anything to do with these creatures. Why them? So many unknowns & questions.

About 15 years ago, while on a family camping trip to a cabin in Wayne national forest, I got all the answers I needed to make up my mind on the existence of the Sabe. From acorns being thrown all around us, to the dead silence when they were around. On the last evening there, I was certain that we were being watched through the windows. I can relate to fish being in a tank now. Nothing bad happened. Rather peaceful for the most part. I’d love to go back one day. I wish more people understood that absence of proof does not mean proof of absence.

When I saw the name of Dave’s book of research, my heart skipped a beat and I got excited. I had never heard the term "Wild Men" come from anyone other than my mother. I paused the video because I didn’t want it to influence my memories. It was about 1950 and my mother lived in Waycross, Georgia, near the Okefenokee Swamp. She was a teenager and she said she saw wild men living in the swamp. I asked her what she meant by "Wild Men" and she had a hard time describing them. I wish I had gotten more information from her, but I was young. I do remember her saying they were hairy, but she didn’t really describe them any further. She didn’t get too close because she didn’t want to be noticed. It does seem like she thought they were communicating, but she couldn’t hear much except they were making noises. I don’t remember her mentioning anything about their size. I believe she was probably with her father, my grandfather, but I know she wasn’t alone and they got out of there pretty quickly. These men lived in the swamp among the alligators and other dangerous animals. This story has always intrigued me. I just wish I knew more. I can’t wait to hear what Dave has to say.

I've had a really strange occurrence in the adirondacks with my father. We were out at a nice deep woods vantage point overlooking a field in my jeep. Took out some lawn chairs and began sitting looking out over the field we were parked at looking for animals to start moving before dusk. Mainly deer and or moose. By nightfall we had seen nothing, it was really quiet. Out of no where we both noticed a foul odor that swept in and we both looked at eachother and knew right away it was pretty unnatural. It smelt like the combo of skunk and rotting fish. It was so pungent I felt sick to my stomach! We started to get up and look around behind us curiously in the woods (the woodsline was behind us ) . After 10 minutes of exploring we gave up after not finding any explainable reason for the odor. The odor also dissapeared so we walked back out to the jeep and lawn chairs. My father had left his cell phone on the hood of the jeep next to the lawn chairs for quick and easy access if we had seen any animals for a picture. When we returned to the chairs and jeep he immediatley noticed the phone was Gone!! Thinking he had misplaced the cell, i decided to call it to listen for the ringtone trying to locate it. We hardly heard the phone but it sounded like it came from the woods north of where we were just exploring and further away. The sound of the phone ringing was faint. I thought he had dropped it in the woods but it was much further in one direction than where we were just exploring! As we got close to the phone we immediatley started to smell that foul odor again. After being creeped out we decided to pack up and get in the jeep to drive back a few miles out of the trail we came in on. As we packed our chairs we started heating some movement in the woods. We didn't care what it was we got in the jeep and started to drive. Only 2 minutes up the trail we were paralleling a cliff with woods on top of it , field to our right. I decided to Stop and listen again . It was dead silent and all of a sudden we heard a gutteral sound what sounded like a growl and then some strange chattering . If you were to push air out of your mouth using your stomach and add an oooohhaaa to it that is what it sounded like. It happened a few times and my father and I have never heard this before. It was super creepy and loud. Almost like we felt it and heard it. Did it try to take my father's phone out of curiosity whatever it was? It was a Very strange occurance!! Never seen this thing though

On a recent trip Estes Park ,Co I was hiking with my family close to a large creek/small river. I was separated from the trail and my family by approximately 50 feet. Suddenly things changed around me. I could no longer hear the other hikers nor my family. I stood completely still only to swivel my head around. ( I had heard if you are uncertain to stay still). I called out to my family who did not respond. I had the distinct feeling that I was be watched by something large and unnatural between myself and the creek. It felt like time had stopped. I could no longer hear the forest sounds. Everything was suddenly quiet. and that I should not walk away from that spot. After about 2 minutes of standing there swiveling my head around things changed back to normal. Suddenly I could hear and feel that things had changed and could hear and see my family along with other hikers back on the trail. Needless to say I never veered more than 5 feet from them again.

No offense intended but if Dave Paulides is teaching you about this phenomenon you’re pretty late to the game, though of course he’s correct. I suggest you look into this subject yourself and not trust someone else to feed you the information. I suggest reading at least a thousand sighting reports on the BFRO database. You’ll start to see very similar reported behaviors and you’ll also start to be able to spot fakes. Then listen to Wes Germer’s first person interviews on Sasquatch Chronicles (the gold standard in this subject), you’ll find the same reported behaviors. If you’re truly open minded, you’ll eventually have to examine the credible reports of associated lights and UFOs as well as dog men. So now the problem is you have begun to travel down an enormous learning curve that’s actually a valley that goes down before it goes up. In other words the more you know about this phenomenon, the more it you realize you’ll never fully understand it.
And about this time you’ll run into somebody who firmly believes it’s simply an undocumented primate. Good luck. LOL

Much like deer, panthers, bears, coyotes etc. I am 67 years old Chickasaw descent. Alabama has ceremonial and burial mounds . My great grandmother was Native American, and she lived in a tiny little house next to a Quarry bordering a State Park in Missouri known as the Elephant Rocks which are a massive formation of huge pink granite boulders. When my dad was pretty young, around ten, he was playing near that quarry hole trying to pull an old rusty bike frame out of the water when something in his peripheral vision blocked out the sun. He looks up and spots a 'Bigfoot' which he describes as to me as a big hairy man. he said he was so quiet that he didn't make a sound walking up on him and when my dad noticed him he said it was like they startled each other and it just kind of veered its coarse and walked into the thicket which if you have ever visited Missouri you would know that walking through that stuff is nearly impossible because especially at this particular location because it was almost all blackberry bushes which grow thick and strong covered in a million tiny thorns. This thing continued on without making so much as a tiny leaf rustle and disappeared as quickly as it appeared. My dad of course goes the other direction screaming for my Great Grandmother, Cora Eunita, who calms him down to get some sense as to why he is yellin and carrying on in which case he describes to her what he had witnessed which brings me to what I always found to be the best part of this story. Granny who was a tiny little women that loved chewing tobacco, and had glaring eyes so dark that my grandmother described them as looking like two pieces of black coal, just looked at my dad without the slightest look of surprise and an impish smile on her face and very matter of fact informed him "hear me child and listen well, he meant you no harm, he is my neighbor and as long as you don't bother him he won't bother you, now get washed for supper an set the table for grandma". From what I gather my Great Grandma knew full well of this entity's existence and she viewed an encounter with it as what she called a "token" which could be a bringer of fortune or folly based on the way you reacted to this creature's presence, which to me sounds almost supernatural in nature. If you have ever visited the elephant rocks, you would quickly realize that it is a very unique formation. There's no place like it anywhere in the world and the natives viewed this place as a location where the vail between our worlds can sometimes be lifted allowing for us and them to mingle. I know how stereotypical all this may sound but I would put my hand on a Bible and swear it. This is an absolutely true story and whenever I poke fun you can see it written all over my dad's face that not only did this happen, but it had a powerful effect on how he views the world. There are things in this world that Science would be hard pressed and find it nearly impossible to devise a way to measure and confirm. If one decides to gain knowledge of these things it is important to know the right questions, and even more important to know who to ask.

Thank you for sharing! Thank you for also speaking of the veil. It exists! I'm of Iroquois decent and this connection to the spirit world is a large part of my life. I'm fascinated and drawn to this veil energy. I've been "seeing" and interpreting spirits since the age of 3. I've never heard an encounter called a "token" but that makes absolute sense somehow and I like it! Many blessings and returns to you and yours!✌🏻🤍🌟

@@reeceraur8735 well thank you for all your kind words it was my absolute pleasure. I am proud of my native roots , and I very much associate my spirituality with those very roots . I don't know where my great grandmother got it but my grandmother used the term token as well . I was taught to never communicate with the Dead because it's most often a trick but we are gifted with what they refer to as tokens which were brief moments in life when we're able to glimpse into the spiritual Realm. it always seems very important to my grandmother Virginia that I understood the difference. she also told us of a man that we would see that look like the man on the Quaker oatmeal box that would appear before a family member was going to die . only later in life did I realize that what my grandmother was teaching me was real before my uncle passed away a year ago I had one of the most vivid dreams I've ever had. There was a tall dark man with a black hat on with long white hair. when my wife woke me up the next morning to tell me my uncle had passed away I cut her off mid sentence because I already knew what she was going to tell me after the dream. one of my most profound moments ever was when my grandmother herself came to me in a very real dream but that's a pretty long story. It's a Wonderful story and if you guys would like to hear it I would be more than glad to share just let me know and I'll tell you more it was absolute proof to me that there wasn't after life it was one of the most realistic dreams I've ever encountered it was absolutely life-changing the end result my grandmother came to me and actually healed me in such a way that I was able to get myself out of a very dark situation I think it occurred because she was watching over me and wanted to visit one last time before she moved on to help me and indeed she did because because of that dream my life turned around completely on 180 I stopped using drugs and I got off of heroin which I was very addicted to at the time she came to me one time in a dream and I woke up the next day and I was absolutely a changed man I flushed everything I had and I endured almost no withdrawals it was like she cleansed me from the inside out I was absolutely amazing and beautiful and just so people know that afterlife or Spirit realm that people are so skeptical about is absolutely real without a doubt real.like I said if you guys would like to hear I'd be more than happy to share the story.

    My Bigfoot story...
    1986
I was just back from my training briefly before my "BB" battle buddy had a date with the drill sgt.
So we planned a camp out for a week in the woods before he left to Basic.
Few nights into the stay partying next to the campfire by a PNW river in eastern washington mountains.
    What happened this night?
At zero dark thirty outta no where the night turns to day?
Clear skies above our river canyon and now its like day time with tree shadows and everything like High Noon.
It was brief AF lasting a second or two.
Next thing the sounds of rustling brushes and snorting out the kazzoo... then the smells of animal poop in your face. yes, nasty AF, just a fact.
    So what was it/its?
Passed it off as deer or elk so didn't check for tracks.
    Never saw anything?
Just found it to be weird at the time.
I later seen videos of Meteors going over seattle and figured that was the light source we encountered.
    Thanks.

During 24 yrs living in PNW, I spent A LOT OF TIME in the foothills and higher elev's of the western side of the Cascade Range, mostly while mtn biking. in late Sept '97 had 1st VERY likely squatch encounter in Central OR (Suttle Lake area) about 7 PM almost dark. Everyone back in camp said I smoked too much Kush & 1 older guy says, "it was probably a bear standing on its hind legs scratching its back on a large sugar pine". (NOPE & I know what even a large black bear looks like from only 200 feet away!) Then late October 2004, near Green Mtn (WA State, Peninsula), on a group ride, while stopped for others to catch up, 2 of us caught a brief glimpse/skank whiff of SOMETHING scrambling up an incline. Both of us thought we felt it's heavy FOOT STEPS, approx 30-40 yards away & it was not even close to the logging road. No elk herd nor a mama black bear! We both said WTF - I said that was not a solo 8 ft tall archery hunter, especially this late in the day. We told the others & of course we got good laughs all the way back to the trailhead parking & eveyone kept saying hey look, what's that over there?!. I actually wanted to stay another night & go look for prints at 1st light with my camera but that was absolutely certified bat shyt crazy talk to everyone. According to everyone but Norman (co-witness) but he never would talk about it whenever I brought it up later. After that I rarely ever went solo riding except in the valley foothills or forests near Hwy 410. Then once I turned about 50, after 20 years of wilderness riding then became more paranoid (about everything) I really never rode alone on the forest trails anymore (mainly bc I saw 1 too many cougar) & only did logging road or gravel riding if by myself.

As an Osage Indian, natives were often depicted with nearly no hair. The slang Osage word for white men in my tribe “ee-sh-ta-hey” originates from the same word used to describe eyebrows bc back in the day when the white men came over to America they had mustaches and beards which us natives depicted as “eyebrows” on the bottom of the face bc we didn’t have hair like that. So a tribe fully covered in hair is super interesting. I fully believe it happened. I just wonder what tribe was trading with them…

There are so many facts in the beginning, I set it aside and began another book… And then I thought, I’ll read a chapter or two and then decide to quit. So I read, and was enthralled. I have had a minor encounter with them, I know that they are my guides and I know that they have supernatural powers as they can break the sound barrier in moving.
I have listened to absolutely everything that Sasquatch Ontario put on U-Tube back a few years ago. The communication between he and the Sasquatch is remarkable! There is the famous accounts ( 3 separate ones ) of a race of giant ape men who were employed by the King to assist in the construction of a vast causeway between India and Sri Lanka. It was considered a myth until modern satellite photography revealed it there and was later confirmed with undersea exploration. These and accounts from Tibet and Nepal are many thousands of years old further confirming this predates current historical record. Thanks again Dave.

I’ve been screamed at before in Fairfax Virginia! Scared the shit out of me and my friends! We got out of the woods so damn fast, and never went back in to that patch.. That was like 16 years ago and I still remember that day like it was yesterday

I agree with your sentiment totally. Just FYI : no apostrophe needed for plurals. If you are writing a possessive such as “the video ‘s title..” use the apostrophe. Sorry I’m just a little nuts about this stuff. 😊

The number of stories is almost meaningless based simply on the passage of stories, but when you start getting factual instances across the board that can be proven with physical evidence...ehh gotta wonder...Just keep in mind the number of "reports" is sort of like when all these "accusations" get thrown around in Courts. The numbers mean nothing without further evidence.

Thanks Dave for deciding to investigate years ago and ending up here, now, reviling what the journalist, and researchers, discovered,or documented for years. And how these things have been experienced over and over, with definitely semilunar descriptions , by people, experiencing strange encounters.i thank most viewers will agree ,when I say we are glad a respectable, and sharing man ,( Dave),is here now, taking time to share knowledge on many subjects, the open minded, listens, can answer some questions for putting there own puzzle together.

Hi Dave, I have been following you now for quite sometime; I appreciate your work and your opinions when you have them. I never paid much attention to Bigfoot, the tales, the phony pictures of a giant ape roaming around Washington State etc. Then I started following you and it makes sense to me. You have presented us/me with a new prospective on the subject. If these things are related to some of the UFOs and rare sightings that I never think are real; this is a game changer for me. Now it makes me really think about your views. please keep up the great investigations! your presentations and thoughts make so much sense about all these mysterious disappearances, sightings, discoveries etc. Can't wait for your next Documentary 👍🏻

I haven't been able to watch this yet, but I will say I LOVED your tribal bigfoot book.
#1 your incorporation and respect of the native culture.+experience of living in hoopa was great to see.
#2 the fact that all stories were signed affidavits&the nature of people&stories made it easy to trust the validity. native people, In my humble opinion, don't usually make up grandeous stories. Especially elders.
#3your detailed descriptions made me feel like I was there and gave me a glimpse of rural CA I'd never seen before!
    #4 the DRAWINGS😍
I read it cover to cover and often pick it up for references.
P.s. I especially enjoyed the boat story out of SE alaska cause that's where I'm from. I can't wait for your new documentary!
