See this is why I like you so much as a reactor: You immediately got the concept that Harry just can't trust any adults in his life because of his upbringing. Not a lot of reactors pick up on that, they're like "yooo just tell Dumbledore it'll be fine". Looking forward to your insights on the next ones!

When you realize that Harry was sleeping in a closet under the stairs for years while the Dursleys live in a 4 bedroom house. Master bedroom, guest room, Dudley's room and Dudley's room for all of his junk.
Ron wasn't a big coward in the books. That was the screenwriter's choice because his favorite character Hermione had to be given almost all of Ron's big moments and lines. Besides..Ron is absolutely terrified of spiders but he went chasing them into the forest with Harry anyway. I'd say that's pretty brave when you have arachnaphobia.

The charm backfired because he was using Ron’s wand. He actually was able to do a oblivate charm. Otherwise other wizard would of told people he was a fraud

When Ron said “why can’t it be follow the butterflies?” I remembered there’s a side mission in the game Hogwarts Legacy where you follow butterflies. I just now made that connection. lol

Most people consider this the weakest of the series, but it holds a special place for me… was the first HP book I read at 12 years old. Love the mystery aspect!

They explain in OTP/HBP why he has to go to them every summer (at least in the book, not sure if they do in the movie). Hint: has to do with love and sacrifice.
One thing that is sometimes overlooked is that there are no "good" or "bad" Hogwarts houses. Yes, Slytherin is considered to be "bad", but there are its decent representatives (no spoilers). And in this movie, Lockhart is an example of a "bad" Ravenclaw (according to the official additional materials). Ravenclaws appreciate learning, wit and wisdom, and Lockhart is not a fool, of course not, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to conduct such a con with making everyone (okay, almost) believe that he did all those noble things he wrote about. (In the books, he states that his appearance is a hook, because "who wants to know that the wizard who saved a whole village was a hunchback?") But on the other hand, Lockhart is lazy and narcissistic. Not the best traits in the world.
In the book, there is also a sort of "bad" Hufflepuff, Harry's course mate Ernie Macmillan, who openly accuses Harry of all the attacks ("Potter got angry at that camera boy, and here you go!") and refuses to believe that there could be any other options... until Hermione is attacked, and Ernie sincerely apologizes to Harry because he knows that Harry would've never hurt her.
As about "bad" Gryffindors... you'll see later

yeah, the actor was only able to think of one harry potter curse and he didn't know which curse that was, or at least he wasn't aware how bad that choice of a curse was

The screen writer projects Hermione too much: Ron knows what mudbloods are because he's a pure blood. Hermione is muggle born and the term is not written down anywhere, so how does Hermione know? In the books Ron tells her what it means. This will be a recurring theme: downplaying the Weasley family as a whole. Also Ginny is much more attractive than Hermione in the books: they tried to make Emma Watson less attractive by giving her false teeth for example, but this interfered with her acting!

You have 7 more films to go in this series. I see you have gotten recommendations for other film "franchises". My suggestion is for one led by a girl for a change - The Hunger Games if you haven't seen it. 4 films for the original series and just recently 1 prequel with another to follow.
