This! THIS!!! This is the series that got me to subscribe to your incredible channel. The actual moment that got me to subscribe, was when you and your dad built a device to put the Porsche safely on its side. Many people might laugh at me for that, but it was the most amazing thing I ever saw. I wish you and your dad much joy and success.

At auction it could go for more than that. The fact that the restoration has been documeted on this YT channel adds a lot of value.
Also the story behind it.
This is NOT a $100k car. It’s $50k - $55k tops.
1. It’s a Targa, the least desirable body style.
2. It’s a G body car, not an F body.
3. The engine is a 2.7 with mag case. There is at least $20k of machining that has to be done eventually to add timeserts to the case so the head studs don’t pull out.
4. It’s a 915 gearbox rather than the G50 gearbox.
5. Not real Fuchs.

Wow what a finish to a fantastic build! I wasnt sold on the color to start but it's grown on me. You did an old wreck a great service and i'm sure you and your family will enjoy it for many years! Curious what the final build price ended up at.
Funny how people have different taste. Personally, I loved the color choice from day one, especially since it wasnt red/yellow/black

I have a RoW 1984 911 Coupe that I have turned almost every bolt on. I am not as talented as you, but I also started turning wrenches on old American stuff, from a Model T to 1930s tractors to a 67 Mustang. People get intimidated by these cars, but they are actually not that complicated to work on, just finicky at times. You have done an AMAZING job. I subscribed to the channel because of this car. You should try a 944 rescue next...they are so much fun to drive, and also easy to work on....
Amazing how far this car has come, from the junkyard to open road. Definitely one of my favorite restorations. You guys should be very proud. Beautiful looking car.
It's been a year now. Will you post a new video and update us all on how it's going? You ought to be finished with all of the things, you mentioned, that needed to be addressed. Hope to catch the next episode of this saga, or should I say Targa, very soon.

This was a great build. Now the BIG QUESTION. Are you ever going to sale her ? I would not. Make this a family heirloom so your children can pass it down to the next family car buff.
A classic build! Loved the series and seeing how you developed with the car. Please provide an update, how the tuning went and what you spent. I recently got a 1978 911 SC coupe and love it!

Love it. An old Porsche always requires some dialing in. Your color choice and the details were great and most importantly it makes you happy!
I really did enjoy this series. I did a resto of a scrapyard Vanagon some years back, with a limited knowlegde and money, but twee tears later it was done! I really recognize every step you made and the feeling of it. Man when you did start that engine, i had a flashback! great moment. Enjoy it!
The copper on the targa emblem was a good choice.
I love love love this car, from what I can see it looks brand new, there is just something about those older 911s that gets my blood pumping, enjoy it, you deserve it for all the hard work you did to get to where it is now...

Beautiful! What an adventure you have had. My Dad helped me with 3 different restorations, a 1960 Morris Mini, a 1972 914 1.7, and a 1973 914 2.0. Then he worked with me on my Swift DB2 Racecar as my crew and number one fan. Enjoy this time with your Dad. I now have a 2003 911 C4S and need to do some repairs and upgrades, but am a little distracted by our first grand child. Retired and busier than ever!
