Jesse enjoys living life “out of the box.” In fact, he doesn’t even have a box. The author of the New York Times bestseller, Living with a Seal, co founded Marquis Jet, the world’s largest private jet card company which he and his partner sold to Berkshire Hathaway/NetJets. Jesse then partnered with Zico coconut water, which he and his partner sold to The Coca-Cola Company.
He’s also the kind of person that when he wants something he grabs onto the opportunity without delay. He recently decided he needed to detox his mind from electronics and the constant multitasking of today’s world.
He ended up living with monks, living in a room as small as a table, and unable to communicate with his family, just to find himself.
The lessons he learned most were about the need to make time for yourself and the people around you that you care most about. In the end, that’s where you’ll have the most impact and where your true legacy will come from.
Learn more lessons from Jesse’s isolation and time with the monks, on Episode 652.

i like these type of topics! yes, business and hustle and growing your social media, they all have a certain importance. but if you wanna dig deeper, you have to get into meditation, gratitude, happiness, these sort of topics. and i find it cool that you do, lewis!

I too have a love/hate relationship with time - the urgency to move fast and at the same time, stop the clock. Thank you for your perspective, your wisdom and honesty. Living a life that inspires others to live lives that inspire - that is the beautiful by-product of stepping out into the unknowns. So thankful for both of you.

something you said on 23 minutes........I like a struggle or being in the face of adversity, breaking down in the middle of nowhere in a foreign country type stuff......you always remember those times, you always get out of those situations, you always get help from strangers and you grow your experience and character and whilst its happening I have very clear thinking.

Jesse Itzler is lovely and I always learn from him. I used to motivate myself with a feeling of scarcity about time and then I was happy and busy and fulfilled so I stopped. Now though I want and need to do very different, even radically different, things and I LOVED the exhortation to DO IT NOW. Thank you both.

Awesome insights from Jesse’s book. Good interview LEWIS as always. Due to reading “Living with the Monks” I’m signed up to go away for a week in rural Massachusetts at a Monastery myself. I would never thought to go. There’s fear in me however I will break through and have that LIFE EXPERIENCE for my Life Resume!

Nice! He's Back... and i totally get it .. i use to do double shift whenever they had thinking that it was the only way to go and helping to get to the another level but was stagnate so i was always waiting .. i bought the wrong idea.. yes i enjoyed earning the money but what i need was to break that pattern and use that time to build skills and wealth.. 2010-2015 i was working a ton of hours and that can be a distraction..i was moving but no progress.. now I realize to live with urgency i' start working on build the 3rdeye Brand and i know i understand and understanding is patience. this mind set is gonna help me get to a better outcome instead of being drained. lets build memories ... life resume is full filling and is the key. @33:33 is the wake up..
