Now that's very cool, really swingin' and some lovely harmonies. This whole analysis thing is invaluable as in understanding what's being played and why it works. Thanks Richie, this is a fantastic service you're providing here.
Wonderful work, as always!. Please, would you be so kind to tell me how do you set your Henriksen on order to get that mellow and warm tone?. Thanks a lot!
Thanks! With the Henriksen I have everything about half way and I roll off the "presence". Your guitar pickup and tone settings are also very important. That's going to vary depending on each guitar. I've had to change pick-ups on several guitars to get the sound I like.
Hi,I wanted to share my thoughts with someone In a Natural Major, seven chords have specific functions I,iii,vi - tonic ii,IV - subdominant V,vii - dominant but what is happening in Harmonic Major? (ionian flat 6) in harmonic minor there is even worse because ionian #5 has no perfect fifth ,so, where is dominant for this mode? On vii degree or nowhere? Could You make video/videos about harmonic Major and his modes? Modal progressions for each mode etc :) Meanwhile could you recommend some "songs" based on harmonic major modes? Classical, neoclassical music, whatever :)
That's the problem with Real Books and standards...they vary depending on the version it was transcribed from. But that's also the nature of jazz....If varying one note and it fits the harmony, it's fine. Every jazz musician varies notes and rhythms in their interpretation of a standard! The bottom line is: Don't worry about it. The jazz police won't come after you. :)
Nope it isn't, but, if youre a jazz beginner check out some of the lessons on this channel to get you started. and make sure you check out jens Larsen, he has hundreds of videos and quite a few for jazz beginners. good luck

Funny, that mixed tone sea verdigris background you have is exactly what I'm looking for in painting a model. Well, part of it. The sunken part .
Loved this thank you Sir. Please continue.

In my Real Book there is an "e" at the end of the 4th bar instead of an "F'. Is it played either way?
