Drone Angle: @skymonkey5
Water Angle:@byronetmedia
Enjoy all three angles of the deadliest of waves.
Hey guys check out @skymonkey5 on the gram for more incredible and unique drone angles of surfers!
And me for even better angles @byronetmedia
Thank you for the shout out Luke. Always more than happy to share my content with someone who is equally pushing the boundaries artistically and creating a different kind of surf content in this ever changing world 👍
the combination of the 3 shots on one surfer on one wave is fkn awesome, I don't think I've seen anyone do this in Australia before, the cliff face with it's colours behind the waves and surfers makes it even more stellar, very aussie... brilliant. pause right on 2:39 for an epic shot of surfer in barrel and background cliffs.
Thanks heaps mate I’m glad you enjoyed it, 2:39 is a great shot 🤙🏼
@@ausrawsurf Same thing, some really good footage and that cliff face and its colour did it for me too!
I'm still looking at this footage 18 months down the track and found your awesome multi-angle combination. Great work by you, skymonkey and byronetmedia!
Thank so much, yeh the drone and water angle lads did a great job too 👏🏼
Thanks luke, i love the colour grade you’ve done on my footage, and love the natural soundtrack
U da man
Have you seen many sharks whilst filming in the water like that? I’d be sketching!
@@stevo3938 not yet! touch wood, they are def around though you just cant see it. when you're alone you get that feeling a lot
I've had some over-the-falls wipeouts in my time, but nothing like that guy @1:08 - heavy wipeout, and fantastic footage from 2 angles, brilliant work. He really paid his dues that day . . . mad props to the guys charging it.
Thanks mate!! Everyone was charging indeed
Great footage from our lucky country. That's a good swell no matter where you are. Thanks for uploading.
Thanks Robert, appreciate it!
Good combination of angles Luke, Love ya work!
Thanks my guy! Appreciate it 🙏🏽
Luke, this is grandious footage brother! Especially the drone footage, extremely close footage and high skills there, so unpredictable that break! Well done
thanks brooo! thats the legendary @skymonkey5 on the job with the drone
Really unique angle/sequence starting at about 4:14. I've seen lots of surf drone footage but cant recall anything like that, almost a fine art image.
Agreed!
Agreed. Mind. Blown.
Brilliant video. there is some very very good no nonsense Australian winter surfing taking place in this clip.
Agreed
Great work putting all the footage together 👍🤙
Thanks mate! Appreciate it
This really shows why the pros are pros. I dont doubt all these guys are super experienced, but even trying to even stay upright on waves this powerful and janky takes incredible skill and training
👌🏼👀
Wicked waves all along the Nthn Beaches best footage guys
Much appreciated!
great combo footage ,EPIC stuff !!
Cheers mate!
@@ausrawsurf your welcome bud ,you're gettin better footage than people with much more expensive kit ,credit to you and your abilities
Top edit Luke
Appreciate it!!
Awesome footage, well done boys 🤙🤙🤙💯🍻🇦🇺
Cheers legend!
Nice editing combining multiple perspectives! Watched this wave from the cliffs once on a day like this. Scary af!
Thanks, appreciate the support!
Very awesome captured with beautiful water
Thanks heaps!
This is incredible, I’ve only been surfing a couple years. I feel like these dudes when I drop a 4 footer 😂
Ahaha
Tops collection of clips. Lots of really nice angles. Great to see all the skippies (and some galahs) having a bash. I don't recognise the spot tho.
It's ....
Glad you enjoyed it
It boggles my mind surfers in certain waves and bigger more powerful bumpier sizes still using concave and flat bottom contours instead of convexed bottoms, keeping everything else the same. Great footage, thank you.
Interesting insights! 🔥👌🏼
Is this south Avalon beach?
Awesome footage
Thanks brother!!
I was on the edge of my seat on those wipeouts
Ahah I don’t blame you
Awesome 🤟🤟🤟🎏☯️💖
Thanks, very much appreciated!
People don’t realise how dangerous surfing is, especially over coral reefs and rock shelves, the sheer athleticism and toughness it takes just to paddle out , is astonishing, not to mention sharks and such
All worth it tho 🔥🔥
every time I see footage of this spot there's someone doing a 20ft over the falls elevator drop, so freaking heavy.
Sounds about right 😂
Amazing footage
Thanks heaps
Shipstern's northern brother, frickin' sick.
So sick hey
Such a good idea and great execution by collaborating with those guys! A hectik film mate, well done! How did you get in touch with drone and water guys? Just on site at the spot?
Thanks heaps really appreciate the support! Over time you tend to meet people and connect!
Epic vid! Some brutal wipe outs!
Thanks mate, some big wipeouts!
body boarding is a dying breed but even more so body surfers in this type of wave height is extremly rare. everyone wants to be a surfer
I’ve seen some body surfers giving it a crack here!
Lovely job .🤟
I love any surf video without music. Just the sounds of the ocean is music enough. Ban music from surf vids!
I agree, I’m glad you enjoyed it! More to come!!
If they could volume control their emotions that'd be a bet.
I like both some 80s surf vids had awesome music depends on the tunes
@@pauloutloud6287 easier said than done ahah!
@@jamman6 fair enough!
Awesome! I'm sure I walk past your office at North Parra everyday walking my dog.... same guys?
Fabulous stuff, especially the water footage.
👌🏼 subscribe for next time…
@0:42 @lukeduce dude got the shack of the day woop woop
Yeh that one was super gnarly!
The definition of over the falls and how deep did they go and what's at the bottom?
It’s pretty shallow here so you can’t go too deep!
1:05 now that’s getting pressed lol.
Indeed ahaha
mad lads
Yes sir 🔥👌🏼🙏🏽
kinda new to surfing here, whats with the wae cresting at two spots at
0.39
It’s from the reef underneath!
Woooow mantap..
That over the falls.... Gnarrrrrrrrrly! Ugh. Nightmare shit!
🔥
Max Dodshon getting a few nuggets
Hey, wasn't that the red skull?
This wave, seems you have to stay ahead, on the bottom, to avoid those dbl ups!
A hard wave to read!
Wow that was good
Thanks!!
That poor guy at the 1:05 mark Lol. He probably was like how the hell did I end up….fuck me. Lol.
😂😂
@@ausrawsurflmaoo😂
Nice
Thanks!
This beachbreak is strange.
It is a rather odd looking beach break isnt it.
@@ausrawsurf aha, something from a beach break nightmare😅
Is this Deadman’s at the end of Manly beach?
No turkey
When was this?
Is this up around Fairy Bower Manly?
Fins:my time has come
Those drone shots are incredible. Well done on the edit
Water shots are even better
@@byronetmedia every1 does that one water angle. over saturated and borin.
@@fjp8625 the water angle is the hardest angle of them all, and it’s the coolest? You’re actually hanging out with the guys you are shooting close enough to call them into waves or high five them into a barrel second that
@@fjp8625 there were 17 land photographers that day, and about 3 water photographers, what are ya talking about turkey
@@fjp8625 you made a youtube account 5 days ago just to do this ahahah
It’s the 50 year store bodi

Thanks, don’t forget to subscribe!
Seems a shame, some of these dudes are right in the spot, surfing spectacularly, and the fins cannot physical hold in the foam thru a vertical turn on parts of this wave. They would have to straighten out to make it, but would miss getting around it. Massive respect for having a crack at this place!!
Indeed
F****** rad!
🤟🏼
