I like everything about this particular set! I’m so glad they chose these colors for it too. I like that it’s so tactile as well with the different surfaces inside and out.
I actually really enjoy some of the newer Polly Pocket sets. I like most compact-style toys, but many of the modern Polly Pockets are water themed in some way which I love. My only vintage so far is the one that looks like a miniature dresser with a condo theme inside. I use the extra storage drawer for my loose clip-on earrings. Very handy. This set in particular is cute, but doesn't fit with the theme of the ones I gravitate towards. If I was more interested in vet themes though, it would join the collection ^-^.
Glad to see someone else who likes the newer sets too! 💕I of course prefer vintage sets because it’s what I grew up with. But like you, pretty much all compact toys are a win in my book. I just really love the whole concept. I also enjoy the evolution of design with the different Polly sets. Maybe some aren’t done as well as they could have been and sometimes I am disappointed. But I still enjoy them all. Plus, my daughters like the larger size of modern Polly, and it’s fun to get to experience brand new Polly Pocket sets with them. They certainly do have lots of water themed sets! It’s funny because I would tend to gravitate more towards land animal sets, like this one. 😂 Thankfully Polly Pocket has something for everyone! 🥰
Hi Rachel, nice video, love your showcases :) I like how the set includes a sea turtle without a little pool he can swim in, instead of a turtle that can actually, y'know, live on land comfortably lol (maybe the little turtle just escaped from the aquarium???) I was kinda dissapointed to see there weren't new pets introduced in this compact though, I whould've loved to see guinea pigs, snakes, birds or any other new animal alongside the ones we've already seen. It's nice that this set has a second floor and the extendable floor lid thingy, I hope they continue to improve the modern polly sets.
When I was setting everything up and got to the turtle, I wasn’t quite sure where to put him. 😂 They definitely could have done better for the poor little guy. I do agree that they could have brought in some new animals. This was my first bird in a modern set though, so I was pretty excited about that! Not sure if he has been in other sets or not? And the horse is new for me as well, but maybe not new overall. Snakes would be a fun addition! I have high hopes that they’ll continue to improve! Hopefully I’m not horribly disappointed. 😂💕💕

@@RachelRetro well, now that you mention it, I don't really save money bc i buy vintage PP 🤭. The new reboot are cute but I won't buy them, I'm not into mermaids or princess themes, I like more the pets and babys sets 😁
I hear you there. Princess stuff has never been my thing (other than the Starlight Castle being one of my very first Polly sets as a kid 🥰). Vintage Polly will always be the best. 💕💕
