I love these Albert! I actually live in a part of East London where these sticker filled lamp posts and things are common, but i never thought of joining in before. Guess what i’ll be doing this week 😊
I remember doing this in lockdown and it was a lot of fun. Now I shall have to see if I kept any of the pieces I made! Great idea to share with everyone! The stickers we see most of here are the ones from vapes on top of all the bins …
Awesome idea! Stream of consciousness, I think. Agnes Martin would approve. On the stickers, it's amazing to see the desperation and cleverness of people trying reach consumers. I'm trying to harvest consumer items and sprinkle them in my work. 🙂 Much fun video! Thanks.
Pardon if someone else has this idea already (have not read the comments), but first print an image on the sticker sheet and then paint over it and rearrange the peeled labels. You might have to seal with a spray varnish before applying paint if using an inkjet printer, but then again, the smeared ink might add to the effect. I'm thinking portraiture. Depending on the subject's facial expression, combined with how you paint over it and finally how the pieces are arranged would make for quite an interesting finished "portrait." Kind of automatic cubism? Cheers and thank you for your inspiring channel.
Thanks, Jeff. A great example. I immediately thought 'cubist', later you confirmed that idea. The perfection of the print can easily be softened by sloppy painting over it. Rearrange it to great art. Wonderful. Albert
I did something similar, by cutting up some failed prints and paintings on paper. The pieces I was left with - about 25-35 mm square - I put into mounts to make tiny pictures.

Thanks, Katharine. I never know why people put them there. But painting was fun. Enjoy painting, Albert

Does it matter what medium we use in case we want to use as street art?
Thanks, denicase. I wouldn't know which medium will be better for outside. Please don't put more stickers out there 🫣 Albert
@@ImperfectPaintings Of course not! JUst a question 🤣
@denicase9444 what a relief 😅

Thanks, Ian. Yes, it's such a lovely technique, cutting up or like I did using labels/stickers. The outcome is always surprising. Albert
Thank you! Albert
Thanks, Kim.
Aww, leave the stickers on the post. You could be the abstract Keith Haring of the Netherlands!
LOL. Thanks, Shannon. Sorry, but no. Being a good neighbor is more important to me. Albert

Thanks, Sabas.
Take popsicle sticks and write different art ideas on them, and put them in a container, and when you need an idea, pull one out
Thanks, Elizabeth, great idea. And fun, I'm always exited for a raffle like activity. What will I get? Albert
