I love old low tier units like this. Most times the guitar is engineered fine but just not worked very well at the point of assembly and QC process. Some love on the fretwork and a bone nut you've made to fit right, maybe half the time you'll end up shimming the neck pocket a little for space (more rarely for angle), and your meh guitar suddenly feels like you don't wanna put it down. That's the best feeling.
Hey my friend, actually, I've tried better guitars than this one (and it's not just about the tremolo). Get that sound tight my friend. I know you can.
In my experience with both cheap and expensive humbuckers, you can enhance cheap pickups sound by using an EQ before your amp and tubescreamer, if you're using one. Try cutting the low frequencies around 150-200 Hz and boosting some mids around 1.6 kHz. This can make the pickups sound sharper and more defined.
Thanks for the tip bro. I usually try to get the best raw tone without applying eq or extra extra distortion. Focusrite with pre amp engaged + amp sim + noise gate (this is how I go). It's not always easy but once you get one for good, the mixing phase is easier. Hope to see you again.
My first guitar was a Washburn Wi14. It's by far the worst guitar I've ever played. Now it's sitting in the basement collecting mold. My truss rog screw is corroded and not working, the input socket is busted so I can't plug it into an amp, bad sound, tuners are broken, fretjob is bad to the point where some notes can't be played, horrible playability and feel, feels like a cheap garbage. I am glad that company is doing horrible.
Hey dude, I read somewhere that they are running out of business (at least about electric guitars). Yet, back in 2008 they had a roster of wonderful musicians playing their guitars. It's kinda sad to see that they are not doing well now. Thanks for passing by.

I like your point of view buddy.
I'm a bit of a cheap guitar lover myself.

Davi it`s a beautiful guitar and it sounds pretty awesome too ;) right now I`m resetting my guitar sound - until it`s tight as you say my friend ;)🥰😊😉

A guitar I never see anymore is the Fernandes Raven. Kenny from Type O Negative used them for years, but you can't find them anywhere.
Hey dude,
I saw some models of Fernandes but not the one you mention. I'll certainly give a better look.
Thanks for passing by.
I still have a Washburn G5V.
Hey man, nice to see you again.
Washburn had some pretty cool models back in the day. I'm doing my best to get at least another one.
I bought it because of the tremolo... that looked really cool. But still got out of tune when you use it 😂
@@woodmum The next one won't have it, trust me ;-)
