Looks good 👍 I plan to do similar. If you order the tv bench through the ikea builder tool, you can wall mount the unit in the design and it comes with a wall mounting solution included.
Well, I am based in the Northern part of UK .. so ya, you probably won’t be in the same location as me 😀 .. best thing is to search on Yelp or Google in your location and choose someone who has good reviews.
I hung it on the wall but few days later its dropped on the floor so what is the name of the tool you put behind it so i can go and buy aswell thanks i am also in the uk
@@easysleeping1389 Our fitters used some kind of dead weight bolts to secure the unit to the wall and they did not use the ones which are included .. as they felt it wouldn’t withstand the weight! I think you can head over to your local B&Q and ask them for those bolts so you can hang your floating unit and they should be able to help!
Well, think you can. Our builders used heavy duty bolts with chemical paste to secure this thing and they guaranteed that the wall will come off before the unit! Now, maybe a bit overconfidence but it is quite sturdy! If I were you, I’d be a bit careful on that!
Yes, the floating units do come with feet .. which are actually caps that screw in to the bottom. They won’t give you much height but they will raise the entire unit slightly from the ground.
The help which we hired got some dead bolts and used them .. we also used a mix of bolts which were included in the box. If you can send me a DM on instagram, I will send you pictures of them 😊 My IG is raavsmedia
@@mockassi3838 well, we set it based on our sofa. We have a low sofa unit .. so we mounted the TV in such a way that our eye level after sitting on the sofa meets the centre of the TV .. that’s what the recommendation is .. if you check online as well.
I am always so confused with the conflicting advice I get on whether you can wall mount the Besta tv unit in particular. At my local Ikea I'm always told "No", but clearly you and others have managed. Great job btw. As I have brick (stud?) wall, I'm wondering to what extent I can also fee the cables through the wall for a seamless finish (I have a feeling it isn't doable unless plasterboard/drywall). Also I wonder if the regular besta unit mounting rails can be used in addition to brackets like you've used here on the tv variant? Subbed.
Thank a lot for your comment and the sub, I really appreciate it 😊😊 I’m actually surprised that IKEA says no to wall mounting when they actually sell wall mounting brackets as add-ons to the Besta unit! But yes, we have no issues and it’s been a couple of months since we have done this and still love the way it looks! We had to get professional help as they know exactly how to secure this unit in the float position .. the most challenging part was to align the small unit with the rest as we wanted that whole length and IKEA didn’t do it as one piece .. so just be aware of that. Also, yes, you can use regular Besta unit mounting rails .. actually, the small one came with the mounting rail whereas the big one did not for some reason. So we had to use external brackets with heavy duty bolts to wall mount it And with brick wall, think it will be difficult to hide the cables unless you can use some existing pipe from switches which are in that location .. one of my friends had the same issue so they got a plaster board wall constructed on top and then hid the cables in it. Hope this helps .. and do share your pic on IG once it’s all in place .. would be good to see how you’ve done it 😊😊😊

"I will show you how I wall mounted it"
*Gets guys in to do the hard part*
Thing was to show one of the idea on how it can be done .. I never said I am going to DIY it myself!!
Show me I am currently stuck with this bench. I don't have a suspension rail.
Since you’re obviously not using the cable management system, why haven’t you chosen for the basic unit without cable management?
Do signals from your remotes go through the doors?
Great video! Can I ask please if you could provide the name of your tv fitters? Thanks

i used Snaptoggle (by Toggler) to wall mount my (Ikea) bathroom vanity units and secure my Pax closets. They should be able to hold a Besta unit.
I have 2 big sound bars. Is it ok to put them on top without ruininh the walls and ripping it off?

Is it stable enough for wall hanging and the weight of a door?
Nice👍🏻
Hi dear can I install the leg if I want to add ? Please let me know if I can put the leg in it.

How do you use your PlayStation and Router, when ist is behind the doors?
Closing the door doesn’t interfere with the signal .. however, my router is not in that unit .. it’s in a different room.
Did you have to reinforce your drywall to enable the wall to support the weight of the TV
Well, our fitters recommend to use these strong hold bolts along with some chemical which acts like cement .. so we went with that suggestion!
i forgot the tv possword and i cant switch on . is there an solution ?
Ouch! Think you need to reset the TV or call support and see what they say!
hola, que medida tiene el mueble? gracias :)
Had to Google Translate .. I tell the size in my video at 1:20 .. plz check 😊
why didn't you mount the TV in the middle of the cabinet?
It’s in the middle to the perspective of our sofa
TY
How big is the tv?
Its 60 inch LG TV :)
Hey is that a 55" TV ?
It’s 60inch LG TV
@@RaavMedia thank you. And how high did you mount the stand?

From what I noticed, the 38 height units (120/180) are ok to mount on the wall, the 60 units are not recommended.
In europe we dont have wall like this, the wall in europe r stone hard.
I am quite out of range
Why you wearing gloves?
Safety right ..especially from wood chips and metal scraps! 😉
