I've got a theory: After the FNAF six fire springtrap is crippled and unable to get out and/or go anywhere (because he would be easily seen) so he stayed hidden in the ruins of FNAF six then the mega pizza Plex is built stuff happens he replaces his animatronic limbs with glam rock endo ones then gets his hands on a recharge station and changes it to help what's left of his body regrow and heal then he finds the mimic trying to get to him and creates M.E.X.S so the mimic can't attack him . Some time passes and FNAF security breach happens and M.E.X.S gets upgraded by someone and stuff. My thinking stopped there but the door banging is Afton ok. EDIT: I meant the door at the start of FNAF ruin.
I have a very strong feeling that Burntrap and Glitchtrap were originally planned to be William, but due to immense fan backlash (especially for burntrap, I think people for the most part were cool with Glitchtrap because it teased Vanny) are now making the them a completely different character. Personally, I’m not sure how to feel about it. I’m happy that we’re getting a new villain that isn’t William, but at the same time it’s just another purple rabbit going around killing people. Also with the fact that you have to look through the books to find this is also really infuriating. (this for me isn’t a fnaf problem, I hate when any franchise does this. The writing in the games being so half assed to the point where you have to read multiple books just to figure out what’s going on is annoying, but with Fnaf the lore it’s trying to tell is also being covered by random nothing stories, and it’s getting to the point where we can’t tell what’s real or fake anymore) I do find it funny though that the villain basically got its shit rocked in and went “huh…so I can do that to?” And is now just running around killing people and wearing their gore as clothes. Yes that is true though I was never that bothered either about William coming back but some people theorised that glitchtrap is William and burntrap is the mimic due to glitchtrap being quite sentient so that is a possibility
That's exactly how I feel about the whole book thing. I got into the franchise because they were "games with lore hidden in them" and it was fun piecing together the story through hidden mini games and stuff in said games. I've followed the games for years and had no idea what the Mimic even was when I suddenly saw it on my feed because I don't read books, I play games. I shouldn't have to read through a bunch of books to find out the information when it all originally started as a game series, just feels like it's geared towards another audience honestly and it makes it even more frustrating for anyone new to the series to even figure out what's going on. (not to mention it's just expensive, like seriously just keep the game lore to the games)

if the mimic ai is also powering the branch network in the pizzaplex, that could explain the personalities of some of the animatronics. freddy is adored by little kids, which results in him having a goofy fun and overall kind behavior. monty is a rockstar with a heavier metal look, so i imagine kids love yelling along, and also golfers love smashing things, so monty shouts and smashes things. roxy has a design that would definitely be adored by teenage girls, and if some of them were insecure, that could result in roxy having a low self esteem.

Its nice that the villain is technically not Afton but I have a few problems with how they approached it. The Mimic, true to it's name, is essentially just copying William Afton. Even Vanny echoes the rabbit theming but looks unique about it. My biggest problem is that none of this seems to be in the games. If you was someone who only played the games you'll have no idea who Burntrap is with the only possibility being Afton. I ruins the puzzle of the mystery if the pieces are in a completely different box you have to pay for and search through. Back with the original books they only reveled character names or things that can further reinforce something that the games suggested, not lore dump something massive the games gave zero hint to. I hope they start focusing on keeping the main points of the story in the games and have the books for extra detail.

Interestingly the mimic is described as having orange eyes while burntrap has purple eyes (prehaps like baby's eyes changing colour from blue to green) I'm not saying that the mimic isn't burntrap but what i am saying is William may well be in there somewhere

I definitely an not a fan of how they force you to purchase material outside of the games to understand what's even happening in the games. Its one think to include extra information and more clarification, but another to straight up keep important story related details in material outside of the actual games.

That is possible, but if the mimic witnessed William murder kids, and it kept that idea in its AI until it was scanned jnto Help Wanted, how would it know what suit to use, and how would it know Williams signature, “I always come back” when we only hear it in FNAF 6? Unless the mimic endo was present in FNAF 6, I’m not 100% sure. My guess is that The Mimic is Burntrap, and Glitchtrap is the real William. Considering Burntrap, in the FNAF Encyclopedia, states that Burntrap isn’t the official name for the character, so that could be the smoking gun to prove it. It’s hard to say to what is gonna happen, but I hah e the new Fazbear frights book Nexie, and because I know the story of one of them, I can get to the epilogue. In the Fnaf Encyclopedia, Glitchtrap is supposed to be William's ghost inside the game, but Burntraps name isn't official, so who's to say The Mimic is Bunrtrap, and William is Glitchtrap?
Yeah, that seems to be the case, and it would explain to why The Mimic would use the Glitchtrap suit in Help Wanted as a vessel, instead of Springtrap.

Unpopular opinion and its still early but I don't get this. This is confusing. Not a big fan of the Mimic. He's just an endo pretending to be others. Why should I care or take him seriously?
Also and parts of service if you see the robots light up with different light colors in Morse code translation is spell the word AI in the hallway with all the endo's with all the pictures doors for the animatronics to do and what not to do for they can mimic it.

I think we’re all kind of jumping to the conclusion that the mimic is 100% glitchtrap/burntrap. Until the games confirm that he is the mimic, he’s still Afton. I also just really don’t like the idea of the mimic. Having the new main villain just be a robot that’s copying the old one is just dumb to me. I’m not saying that I want Afton to come back. I just want there to be a better villain. Imagine if vanny was the new main antagonist. She could’ve been this woman with a split personality disorder who has a very nice a sweet side but then a psychopathic side that looks up to Afton and wants to continue his legacy. That would’ve been way cooler and more interesting then what we ended up getting.

Honestly, the only downside to this theory is Glitchtrap being the mimic, that is just a huge stretch, its more likely that Glitchtrap is still william who now also controls the blob as in the final cutscene the blob gets angry when the mimic failed, if it was the mimic it wouldn't scream in anger and if it was one of the victims it would just leave him to burn but it doesn't, it gets angry and then pulls the mimic out of the fire. So it id very likely the theory that william was Accidently coded into help wanted is true and that he still exists as the blob, teaching the mimic his own ways while also controlling vanny.
Mimic1 is literally a program designed to copy William Afton a bunch of old endoskeletons circuit boards were scanned into the VR game when the Mimic was injected into the Pizzaplexs systems it infected all the animatronics and arcades just like it infected the VR game and Vanessa Glitchtrap is not William and the Blob most DEFINITELY is not William
In my opinion the Mimic wore the damaged Scraptrap suit and Vanny did the rest, I also don't think game Afton went to a hospital. I find StitchlineGames to be unlikely but I still can respect it if it's canon. And with the Mimic, it's basically showing that Afton in Scotts era ended and a new protagonist reflects what William did while the Mimic/Mimic01 isn't William at all. Scott's basically killing off Afton in the best way imo

Apparently tales from the pizza plex was in development the same time as security breach so I don't think it was because of backlash

I'm a fan of this new style of FNAF lore, I like how it's in both Games and Books. I like this change and Hope they continue this.

I definitely an not a fan of how they force you to purchase material outside of the games to understand what's even happening in the games. Its one think to include extra information and more clarification, but another to straight up keep important story related details in material outside of the actual games.

I have to agree, hopefully in the next game, Steel Wool (or whoever) will include important info to understand the overall story more clearly.
But that doesn’t excuse not including it early on though.

That is possible, but if the mimic witnessed William murder kids, and it kept that idea in its AI until it was scanned jnto Help Wanted, how would it know what suit to use, and how would it know Williams signature, “I always come back” when we only hear it in FNAF 6? Unless the mimic endo was present in FNAF 6, I’m not 100% sure. My guess is that The Mimic is Burntrap, and Glitchtrap is the real William.
Considering Burntrap, in the FNAF Encyclopedia, states that Burntrap isn’t the official name for the character, so that could be the smoking gun to prove it.

In the Fnaf Encyclopedia, Glitchtrap is supposed to be William's ghost inside the game, but Burntraps name isn't official, so who's to say The Mimic is Bunrtrap, and William is Glitchtrap?
Yeah, that seems to be the case, and it would explain to why The Mimic would use the Glitchtrap suit in Help Wanted as a vessel, instead of Springtrap.

that was what we assumed happened after the man in room 1280 but it appears those FF epilogues were canon which disproves that! As something different happened instead

the video was good but I really don't like how you clumped the frights epilogues to be as definitively cannon has the tales from the pizza plex. I'm saying that because a lot of the stuff in the the frights epilogues and the stories that connect to them don't match to well with stuff that has been pre-established in the games.(William Afton having 2 arms instead of one, circus baby's Pizza World being opened, fetch being found in an abandoned freddys that existed before smart phones but after Afton exploded)

I think we’re all kind of jumping to the conclusion that the mimic is 100% glitchtrap/burntrap. Until the games confirm that he is the mimic, he’s still Afton. I also just really don’t like the idea of the mimic. Having the new main villain just be a robot that’s copying the old one is just dumb to me. I’m not saying that I want Afton to come back. I just want there to be a better villain. Imagine if vanny was the new main antagonist. She could’ve been this woman with a split personality disorder who has a very nice a sweet side but then a psychopathic side that looks up to Afton and wants to continue his legacy. That would’ve been way cooler and more interesting then what we ended up getting.

Honestly, the only downside to this theory is Glitchtrap being the mimic, that is just a huge stretch, its more likely that Glitchtrap is still william who now also controls the blob as in the final cutscene the blob gets angry when the mimic failed, if it was the mimic it wouldn't scream in anger and if it was one of the victims it would just leave him to burn but it doesn't, it gets angry and then pulls the mimic out of the fire.
So it id very likely the theory that william was Accidently coded into help wanted is true and that he still exists as the blob, teaching the mimic his own ways while also controlling vanny.

In my opinion the Mimic wore the damaged Scraptrap suit and Vanny did the rest, I also don't think game Afton went to a hospital. I find StitchlineGames to be unlikely but I still can respect it if it's canon. And with the Mimic, it's basically showing that Afton in Scotts era ended and a new protagonist reflects what William did while the Mimic/Mimic01 isn't William at all. Scott's basically killing off Afton in the best way imo
