Yeah like the only going really gore is in the story but it will be a problem overcome since this will be on streaming to so there could be some problems so it's going to be quite a challenge
I 100% agree fnaf was never really a adult game more for younger audiences like teens. The reason why fnaf was scary and interesting was it's mysteries and paranormal horror of creepy animatronics moving at night walking around.
PG-13 isn’t an issue, and knowing blumhouse we’re going to get a unrated version with extra gore as an option like what they did with Megan a couple of weeks after it released. Blumhouse is trying to please everyone and we all need to just calm down about it. Fnaf at its core will always be able subtle terror and while it can appeal towards kids if you go down the rabbit hole even the tamer entries have extreme fear in them. Just my two cents and I hope people can get over all this.
The thing with M3gan is that the movie was originally rated r but due to younger people liking it they did a pg 13 cut for theaters and unrated for home. Fnaf is definitely originally pg 13. So idk if we’d get an unrated cut
Clearly they haven't seen Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 which was PG-13 or even Dungeons & Dragons Honor Among Thieves(That Beckoning Death spell scene was dark for me ngl. It just turned innocents into undead creatures with that red smoke by making them foam at the mouth and twitch).
While fnaf's lore is dark and even at times gory, no gore is explicitly shown to us in the games, and I think that's a good thing. It allows our imagination to take over and give us our own disturbing depictions of it. Often times the best horror media doesn't show much and thus allows your imagination to run wild, which is really effective since nothing scares us more than our own imagination.
@dogmanwes27 true, but the gore isn't explicitly shown. The bite of 83 happens in the form of an 8 bit mini game and shows no blood. In the scooping room scene, yes, we see it happen, but we see it from Mike's point of view with a red flash and audio. Not much gore is actually shown to us.
Considering that A Quite Place, Insidious, AND The Ring are rated pg-13, this movie is definitely not ruined by its rating, and it never will be. The rating of pg-13 doesn’t mean that you can’t have blood or gorey things, you just can’t have it too gorey and or have nudity. So in this case, we aren’t to be worried about this, this movie will be great and (somewhat) gorey. I mean we have been waiting on this for basically 9 years at this point, people just need to be grateful that we are getting it after so long instead of worrying about a pg-13 rating somehow “ruining” the movie
Wait The Ring is PG-13?! I was freaking terrified of that movie for like years after I watched it (I did watch it when I was really young though) so that's quite surprising.
I hate how people say "fnaf shouldn't be for kids" and shit like that, but then they'll also say shit like "fnaf was my childhood" "i watched fnaf when I was young" and such
FNAF shouldn't be made for kids, but perhaps should be okay for kids to watch. It's not a hard concept to understand. Consider Marvel movies. None of them were made for kids specifically. At most, they could be considered family-friendly. But even then, there is cursing and mild violence.
I feel like that’s what the fandom expect the franchise to be, I’ve seen videos saying “FNAF isn’t for kids”, something like that, while using V.H.S animations to love their point, instead of showing anything from official sources.
That's the scariest part of most analog horror.... it's that you're not shown enough but told a lot about the concept... letting your imagination run wild with how terrifying it could really be
I find this growing push to have fnaf be this super hardcore edgefest that leans into the gruesomeness of everything to the fullest extent possible to be kinda selfish in a way. Even as someone who isn't a fan of the more "for kids" approach of Security Breach over rather simply keeping the series appropriate for all ages (I don't believe media being inclusive of all ages inherently means they're intended for kids and only kids), I wouldn't ever want the games to leave the younger side of the fanbase in the dust with """"adult"""" content. That's because I understand us older fans are still only predominately within the 18-early 20's range and I wouldn't want to exclude new fans from enjoying this series in the same way I did when I was their age
It's a weird dilemma because the series is obviously being designed to be even more marketable for kids going forward so while I do understand your point I also get the people that just want a game thats incredibly dark because there's nothing on the market to scratch that itch
I think the intent isn’t to make it super dark just to ensure it stays with the people who few up on it and important stuff doesn’t get taken out the match the merchandise demographic Remember security breach did censor shit to get its rating despite the knife being in the teasers Hell it’s been speculated that the only reason remnant was even introduced to the series is because Scott thought the idea of the animatronics being literally possessed by children could be disturbing to the young book readers so disconnected it with sci-fi mumbo jumbo
@@mentalmediocrity7883 theres plenty of "incredibly dark" horror games and horror franchises out there, and fnaf isnt and has never been one of them the horror part of it was never dark, and the lore is hardly that dark for any horror franchise, quite a large amount of non horror franchises have significantly darker lore or stories the horror part has always been scary animatronics and being stuck in one place/defenseless, it's more anticipation of getting caught than it is anything gruesome or horrific. the lore is pretty standard, a serial killer and dead children is like pretty low level grim
I've never got the idea that fnaf has to be gorey and pants pissingly traumatizing like bruh the most brutal event in the series was only shown to us in a 8 bit minigame. The series has been t rated since the start the movies rating is nothing new
Yes exactly I don’t know why people are mad at this they should be grateful they’re even getting a movie instead of waiting patiently for 50 more years
@@ChrisRedfield98 Yeah. I feel bad for him now 😢 *Not just for making the story not so explicit to see, but to somehow divide the fandom after his departure.*
@@DrasticFox2004 Scott literally bends over backwards for his fans, and has been nothing but kind and generous, but the fandom shits on him every step of the way
Personally, I don't see why people want it to be like, "OHH AHHH, FREDDY RIPPING OUT ORGANSSS!!" since that never once happened in the game franchise, and would just be kind of strange in general, or at least to me it would be. I just want it to be more like, "Fat bear creeping through silly cardboard hallways" more than anything lol.
Would literally make me cringe if that's what it was, and not in a squeamish way. I'm glad its PG-13 because that means they can be a lot more creative instead of LOOK GUYS! GORE! GORE SCARY!
@@lambybunny7173So how are we going to show the following without it looking watered down as a “pg-13 movie”: The murder of the 5 missing children, the serial killer stuffing their corpses into the suits to hide the evidence from cops, the absolute emotional outbreak of the parents of those children, the bite of 87 and 83, and the absolutely GRUESOME and horrific (rightfully deserved though) death of the serial killer from the very suit he used to lure and murder the children?. Or am I to believe that the fnaf community has fallen so low that now the movie is just simply “killer robots attack security guard” just because some dumb 12 year olds played security breach only and are unable to take the lore? FNAF is supposed to be a horror movie, not a drama soap opera.
@@chadzahirshah2588 the thing is, it's not necessary to explicitly show William murdering the victims and stuffing them in the suits (Blumhouse already showed to be able to imply stuff like kidnapping and murdering of kids without showing most of them on The Black Phone) And about the springlock failure, as most people in this comment section said, it's not like a PG-13 movie can't contain any kind violence. As stated by the Classification and Rating Administration (🤓☝️) "there may be depictions of violence in a PG-13 movie, but generally not both realistic and extreme or persistent violence." which can be easily done to show William dying by the suit without making it unnecessarily gore. This franchise never relied on extreme depictions of violence to be scary (most of it was implicit or shown in the form of minigames to make it less violent, a good example being Charlie's death in fnaf 2) and idk why people feel it should now.
I don't understand the craze of wanting the movie to be rated R tbh. Like.. the way of how things are presented in-game, it works out pretty well with PG-13. And like others have said, FNAF doesn't show things explicitly so.. there's that lol.
@@nitecore-wx9lj I would question why they would like fnaf then. I kinda get the whole "getting made fun of" thing but..still. How is the stuff some of these ppl are proposing for the movie make that any better. Regardless, people who make fun of you for liking your fav things suck ass.
To be fair the movie can't take things in the same direction as the games They can't fucking show us an 8 bit springlock cutscene because its a live action movie and if they tell instead of show it'd lame and unsatisfactory
@@mentalmediocrity7883 They definitely can. You don’t need to actually SHOW what’s happening. Fnaf itself how always implied stuff anyway. So with the springlock scene, just have a camera to the wall showing william’s shadow. And once the springlock activate, you can show him struggling and hearing him slip on his blood and struggling. I just don’t see see how doing is going to be unsatisfactory or lame. So hard disagree with that.
Thank you. FNAF isn’t gory, it never has been. And I think that’s one of the franchise’s strengths. Scott did an amazing job making us scared precisely by not showing us things. (The springlock scene gives me chills to this day, and it’s in 8-bit.) And let’s be honest, FNAF is kind of silly, and it’s always embraced that- from Phone Guy’s calls in FNAF 1, to Phone Dude’s ridiculous voice, to Helpy breaking his back in the ball pit minigame, to Fazbear Ent’s obviously illegal practices, to the entirety of Security Breach, which decided to lean into the goofiness. If you’re going into this expecting a dark, super serious, edgy movie where Foxy rips people’s guts out and Freddy tears off someone’s head, I… I don’t know what franchise you think this is. This is the FNAF movie. And that’s not FNAF. Also that would just be weird and jarring.
Y'all just soft at this point 🤦 fnaf DOES have g0re in games, atleast they had excuse because they used 8 bits, but this time is LIVE ACTION, not only nerdys will watch this, also casual people that need to understand how everything happens like the bites, springlocks, scooper, springtrap made by organs and body parts... Much more like the eyes from death screen, kids inside the bodies... Fnaf was always supposed to be g0re, its just that y'all dont understand or are too young, thats why they had to show everything in 8 bits, its not a kids thing
@@Dan1el7493 I was seventeen when the first game came out. I’m 25 now. Scott actually said he went out of his way not to use too much gore, and that’s part of why the minigames are in 8-bit. Not only was it a cool aesthetic but it provided the opportunity for gore without giving us too much detail with people’s guts everywhere. And personally, I appreciate that. I know a lot of people like gore, but I don’t get scared when I see gore in horror. I just think it’s gross and it takes me out of the film. And I doubt I’m the only one on Earth who feels that way. I’m not saying that people can’t die, or there can’t be blood at all. That would be dumb. Trust me, I would love to see a scene where Afton gets springlocked, and that’s totally feasible with a PG-13 film. They could do that. I just don’t think it’s necessary to see the metal spikes go straight through his eyeballs. I think some people think PG-13 is softer than it really is. It just means less blood, less cursing and less sexual content. That’s all.
@@Dan1el7493 The only time we see gore in one of the games in in the FNAF 1 game over screen and the mini games and that's about it, FNAF hasn't had as much gore as you think it did. Maybe YOUR the one that's too young here, because PG 13 won't be an issue for this film. Stop trying to tell people that they're wrong.
100% agree with you ... I thought it was kinda obvious that it would be PG-13 considering the demographic, but also I think it's kinda a good sign! More people will be able to enjoy it, and it still offers a LOT of room for intense scenes and gore.
THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING. The super gory events in the FNAF games have either been implied, or shown through the most tame way possible (8-Bit minigames), and the fact that most FNAF Games are rated T which is basically videogame PG-13
I completely agree, a lot of the mature part of the games is left to interpretation like the jumpscares and such which is probably what the movie might do as well.
I think a lot of people arguing for an R rating don't know what you can do in a PG-13 movie. Like you want an example, The Batman is rated PG-13, and there is a quite horrific murder in the opening scene. You can get away with shit in a PG-13 movie (as long as you don't say fuck more than once), so like PG-13 is gonna work fine. R would just be over the top
I’m completely satisfied that it could be PG13 and here’s why; as a forever gore and horror fanatic, some of my favorite movies are rated below R. Rated R doesn’t necessarily mean movies that are going to be truly scary and likewise, PG13 doesn’t mean that movies will be childish and lowbrow. FNAF’s largest populous of fans are millennials. We got into this franchise in 2014. I want younger generations to be able to go see this movie and fall in love with FNAF as a newcomer. The more the fan base diversifies and grows the more content the franchise is willing to create in the future. I want more people to share in the love of FNAF. Regardless of official rating of the books in particular, there’s no sexual innuendos
Yes, YES! That what I told to others, there are no plot in old games, there are lots of complicated lore, but lore is lore, you need to dig to find it, while plot is on the surface.
have to agree i find super funny how people are so mad about the game targeted towards teens movie is pg-13 also so many pg-13 movies have gore like gremlins and Doctor strange multiverse of madness.
Like Elm Street. We know Freddy killed kids, but we never saw it. I remember the closest we got was a little girl in the corner and a fade away when Freddy got closer
I can't agree more. The FNaF movie doesn't NEED gore to be scary, people just want a slasher flick. Plus, we can have a perfectly gory scene WITH a PG-13 rating. It's what me & others have tried saying yet the top voted comments in most JohnnyBlox/Dawko/Fuzion posts are "The FNaF MoVie Is gOnnA FLoP iF IT iSn't RatED R! At lEaSt mAKe iT fOr PeACoCk vIeWerS!" Hell, ExBlue made their own FNaF Movie that was PG-13, & it was awesome, & it didn't even have a springlock scene! Enjoyed the rant & discussion of those aspects ❤
I am very angry that a franchise directed towards younger audiences is getting a movie for younger audiences. I will not be attending the premier, I will not be buying merchandise and I will certainly be uninstalling all FNAF content from my devices. 0/10 movie because it's not made exactly how I want it.
If the movie was rated R and lets just say, was taking place at the time of the murders, that'd be a pretty boring movie. You'd have your couple minutes of blood of gore, and then what? Part of the point is how the company covered it all up. So after all the gore, you'd just have resturaunt ambience. That's it. That's the movie.
Theatrical Version (Hard PG-13), Extended Cut for Digital (Light R/Unrated) They will keep it PG-13 for the money and since there are actually a ton of younger fans
The horror from FNAF always derived from your own imagination, it was show don’t tell, dripfeeding us disturbing implications, they were never the main focus, and whenever they were, it was with extremely simplistic pixels, The Springlock Failure, Michael’s decaying corpse, The bite of 83, ect.
Them: Bla, Bla, Bla the spring lock failure was so underwhelming If you get stabbed your organs aren’t falling out. If you take it out matters, but he can’t take off the suit so only bloood will spill.
I 100% agree that the FNaF movie being PG-13 isn't an issue. I mean, a bunch of people in the fandom are under 16. Also Horror > Gore, a lot of people can't accept it and plus the goriest parts of the FNaF story aren't even shown in 3D or aren't even shown at all, but they do take place in the background which the movie CAN do.
I hope it is at least rated PG-13. Five Night's at Freddy's has never been really that inappropriate, so it would make sense. Not to mention some friendly comedy, not a single swear word in any of the games, and not being brutal in some cases. Sure, Purple Guy was springlocked, but in the game, it's very blocky and pixelated to where it's not that brutal. All that's really inappropriate about it is for being scary. And I can imagine and am pretty sure lots of kids and teens are gonna want to see this. All the games are rated "T" for "Teen", not "M" for "Mature". I really hope it's not rated "R" for "Restricted" or higher. I also hope that it is a thriller, with a twist of action, has realistic special effects, and that a Five Nights at Freddy's song by The Living Tombstone or something is played in the end credits.
Not only that but the FNAF movie rated PG-13 is accurate enough, like every FNAF game is rated T by ESRB, even Security Breach who wanted to avoid blood references like when Freddy mentioned Gregory being "broken" which is actually blood leak according to the game files. Security Breach is rated T due to Fantasy Violence alone caused by the animatronic jumpscares. Also in FNAF World, even though it's a cutesy RPG spin-off of the FNAF series, it's not made for children, like when Fredbear transforms into 8-bit Fredbear, there's blood in the Chica's Magic Rainbow minigame, in the same game the same rainbow curses at you, JJ curses at Foxy Fighters(unused), etc. Even the Desk Man was lying on his own blood on his desk.
@@darentoh322 The FNAF franchise has never relied on extreme violence to be scary, and most of it was implicit or shown in the form of minigames to make it less violent (a good example is Charlies death in FNAF 2). As most people in this comment section have said, it's not like a PG 13 film can't contain any kind of violence. As stated by the Classification and Rating Administration, "there may be depictions of violence in a PG-13 movie, but generally not both realistic and extreme or persistent violence." which can be easily done to show William dying by the suit without making it unnecessarily gore. People like you are overreacting way to much when you don't even need to, and it's getting kind of ridiculous. Sometimes you can't always get stuff your own way, deal with it.
I think the reason why some people think this way about FNAF is mainly what was said in the video. About people in the online community making mature fan content that some people's perception has warp around. Another reason maybe that people tend to only focus on the backstory and mainly the subject matter of child abduction/murder and then doing disgusting things to said child victims. Some people get pretty offended or sensitive to those kinds of topics in the media but they usually only pay attention to that part of the lore and not what FNAF as a whole. I too kind of use to think this way about FNAF. But after I saw some PG-13 horror movies that were actually great and some R rated horror movies that sucked and where I thought the gore and violence was forced, yeah it's no brainer to me given this almost decade long franchise that a PG-13 rating would be expected. I saw M3GAN when it first came out and I have no interest in rewatching that movie again, let alone it's R rated cut for that matter. I just think the blood and gore in that movie wasn't needed and that it was already great to begin. I'm the kind of guy who can make the conclusions in my head if the violence is happening off screen
thank you so much! I am ten years old and i have been waiting for someone to prove that the fnaf movie should be pg 13 like I know everything about fnaf and was there anything gorey? not at all
Honestly I don't see any problem with the fnaf movie being PG-13 for me it's already good to be that way, nowadays it seems that older people are more and more paranoid because of younger people as if they are going to ruin everything, I'm 19 now and when I was 11-12 years old fnaf was the first thing I knew I didn't even have a cell phone or PC at that time, I'm going to watch the fnaf movie to see how the story will be if there's going to be anything that explain more the fnaf lore or not i don't go to the cinema to watch the fnaf movie to see children crying from being tortured and see bodies with their guts out if any of you want to see and like this stuff then you must have mental problems after all I'm going to watch a movie and not some crazy Dark Web video.
People need to stop complaining sometimes. Like, even if it is PG-13(which, in my opinion, will be better as it will allow a larger demographic of people to watch it), as long as its GOOD and gives off the same vibe the original series did, it's not going to matter. Not every horror film needs to be R rated.
more on topic, an R rating is just unnecessary; it's like looking at solely the minigames and saying, "Put that on the big screen, people just love minimalist artwork". Could possibly be the reason the movie took so long to begin with; a loop of digging up secret lore to explain in detail, only to realise a lot of it was inaccessible to most people who casually enjoy the series. PG or G would be the real issue, as then all the blood and uncanny valley would have to disappear, leaving something one step away from fnaf world.
5:29 even not considering the series usual age demographic Fnaf has never been an M rated game. There is little to no gore in any of the games and people who act otherwise are just factually wrong
my issue with the fnaf movie coming out now is that fnaf isn't scary anymore, the appeal was we hadn't seen a horror movie set in chuck e cheese with the robots trying to kill you but after ten years its not that original and the jump scares really overstayed their welcome and with the fandom being so cringy i don't have high hopes
The theatrical version will be PG-13 so the younger demographic can be able to see it, the movie can work really well as a pg-13 because if you think about it the games only show gore in several instances throughout the series most of the horror in the games come from the lore (which is really disturbing, but only implications happen so our imagination can think about it) and your typical jumpscares. Although I still think this movie will be scary and quite disturbing. I do think Blumhouse will release an unrated cut for the fans a few months after it’s theatrical run.
The fnaf movie will be more successful since a large portion of its audience can see it, i dont know why so many people were mad about the PG-13 rating
Yeah and plus, isn’t it better if it’s rated PG-13? If it’s rated r, those fnaf fans who are kids now are unlikely to see it cuz of their parents and all Idk it’s just my opinion
@@bendrowned8506that movies problems were for sure not caused just by the PG-13 rating, it was a bad movie anyway. It could've had potential but it just fell through
FNAF is a kids franchise! It always has been, it just has a large periphery demographic of adults. Complaining about the movie probably being rated PG-13 (12 by the BBFC system) is like whining that My Little Pony is too kid friendly. (...which obviously happened a lot back in the day, because adults who are way too invested in kids' media are dumb.)
My only issue is that censors for kids content can be super nitpicky and stuff that is completely fine can get cut while actual adult content can slip through
Yeah the ratings boards are notoriously arbitrary about what constitutes “child friendly” Hell it’s well known that LGBTQ content always gets slapped with a higher rating
People need to understand that gore was never really fnafs thing. It was just the type of game to show you the most messed up stuff. That’s more of the PG-13 turn.
There seems to be this notion that horror movies need to be rated R to even be good, despite the fact that the only horror genre that really pushes into R rated territory is slasher, which can also be done with a PG-13 rating. Horror isn’t defined by a fountain of blood every five minutes.
Remember, most of the analog horror for FNAF could actually be PG-13, as it usually doesn’t show gore. It lets much of your imagination take over. Horrific sounds, unnatural movement, uncomfortable edits. Literally that one video where it showed the animatronic(I think it was Chica or Freddy) and they looked at the camera, then no sound, black screen, and the mask opening with only a smiling child being present to this day still gets me. No blood, no gore, no swearing. Just pure, nightmarish art…
I seriously don’t understand why people are acting like a PG 13 rating would ruin this film, FNAF hasn’t had an insane amount of gore before and yet there’s people saying that it would somehow water down a bit of the lore. It’s pretty clear that it, Blumhouse has made PG 13 horror films in the past (M3ghan is rated 15+ here in the UK) and nobody has complained about that. Yes I know that FNAF is different but it hasn’t had as much gore as ya’ll think it did/does, whining about it is just completely childish to be honest.
FNaF was PG-13/12+ from the very start, and pepole STILL want an R rated FNaF film?! Like, WHAT THE F- I'm writing this awhile after the movie has released, and the critics complained about it not being scary. Which i do remember the movie not being that creepy at all, but Blumhouse has taken this into consideration for the second movie which is releasing in December next year. I find it kinda funny that we'll have the third Sonic movie before the FNaF sequel! 😅
They could do those things where once it hits on dvds there could be a rated R version and a pg 13 version but that doesn't really work out to be honest but thats just an idea
If you’re wondering why it’s an issue, older fans who grew up and wondering why the older games have changed (they didn’t change, the fans just got older) are clearly insecure about liking spooky bear game(despite the fact that we got grown adults watching Bluey, a show for toddlers) and , well, need to be checked into rehab because they’re addicted to copium. And use the VHS tapes to try and force a narrative on these games that never really existed. Edit: I just realized Five Nights 1 to Sister Location are aftermaths. They’re after the actual lore heavy (gory) moments have passed. Edit Edit: Also please don’t ask them to change the rating, I’m seeing that a lot. One, a movie has to be FINISHED to be rated, two, whether or not you slap an R or PG-13 it’s the same movie, changing it to R won’t make the movie gorier, that’s not how movies or TIME itself works
fnaf rated r, while it would be cool, would also be inaccessible to the majority of fnaf fans, which would only accentuate the sense of elitism the fandom has been picking up
Personally in my opinion, I think the movie should be PG-13 rated. The games are for a younger audience so I think there should be minimal to no gore in this movie. They can get the point across without blood spilling out everywhere. Plus just like in the first jaws movie everything was left to your imagination, which is the best way to do horror movies. On top of that the fnaf movie is supposed to be about the animatronics not how much blood is everywhere. I hope this movie doesn't have a lot of gore because I like good scars without the blood and guts. A lot of times I don't watch horror movies due to that fact. I love anything to do animatronics so hopefully they won't ruin it for me! Plus what if your youngest kid wants to watch it? You will have to tell them no if it is Rated R. If you're a good parent. Anyway, this all just my opinion.
a lot of people are using security breach as an example of a game "dumb downed and made less scary" for kids, but honestly i disagree. i think they just flubbed it, not to make it child friendly but just cuz that is what happens if you take on a task too big with an inexperienced team and bad planning
It's fine if its gonna pg 13, just make sure it won't disappoint us, right guys, rated is not important, the quality, story, and some exciting scene like the bite and spring lock is what we need, but of course add some blood, it's gonna be boring if it's no blood, no need gore, just blood and it needs to be scary, scary like I'm gonna keep up at night, sorry my english is bad cuz I'm just funny russian

It doesn’t need to be rated R to be dark.
Thank you.
I need comments like these that support my view on this rating. 😊
Also that last sentence perfectly describes the 2022 Batman 😂
Even puss in boots the last wish had some blood and dark imagery and that was pg
I agree, I don't get why people complain about a movie rating. To me it's just a rating, personal I don't want a Blood bath FNAF movie.
Yeah.
Too much blood might get an R rating.
A lot of things are pretty gory the bite of 87 and 83 the scooping the springlock failure

@@drewbydoo8945 what about the springlock suit?
@dogmanwes27 blood does spill, bit it is presented as an 8 bit mini game. So, it isn't explicit gore.
Fr tho we just need to be GRATEFUL that the movie is coming in the first place.

FNAF shouldn't be made for kids, but perhaps should be okay for kids to watch. It's not a hard concept to understand. Consider Marvel movies. None of them were made for kids specifically. At most, they could be considered family-friendly. But even then, there is cursing and mild violence.

Underrated comment, man.
*No, underrated STATEMENT.*
@drasticboy1218 Thanks, my guy! I honestly do think that that's what left me up at night after watching The Mandela Catalogue for the first time.
I think a good majority of oldfnaf fans are in the 14-20 range as little kids watched a lot of it in 2014-15
Actually, typically when something aims HARD for the "adult" side, it tends to just drive away the adults, and attract children in DROVES :V
I think the intent isn’t to make it super dark just to ensure it stays with the people who few up on it and important stuff doesn’t get taken out the match the merchandise demographic
Remember security breach did censor shit to get its rating despite the knife being in the teasers
Hell it’s been speculated that the only reason remnant was even introduced to the series is because Scott thought the idea of the animatronics being literally possessed by children could be disturbing to the young book readers so disconnected it with sci-fi mumbo jumbo
@@mentalmediocrity7883 theres plenty of "incredibly dark" horror games and horror franchises out there, and fnaf isnt and has never been one of them
the horror part of it was never dark, and the lore is hardly that dark for any horror franchise, quite a large amount of non horror franchises have significantly darker lore or stories
the horror part has always been scary animatronics and being stuck in one place/defenseless, it's more anticipation of getting caught than it is anything gruesome or horrific. the lore is pretty standard, a serial killer and dead children is like pretty low level grim
I've never got the idea that fnaf has to be gorey and pants pissingly traumatizing like bruh the most brutal event in the series was only shown to us in a 8 bit minigame. The series has been t rated since the start the movies rating is nothing new

Or am I to believe that the fnaf community has fallen so low that now the movie is just simply “killer robots attack security guard” just because some dumb 12 year olds played security breach only and are unable to take the lore?
FNAF is supposed to be a horror movie, not a drama soap opera.
@@chadzahirshah2588 the thing is, it's not necessary to explicitly show William murdering the victims and stuffing them in the suits (Blumhouse already showed to be able to imply stuff like kidnapping and murdering of kids without showing most of them on The Black Phone)

I feel like PG-13 would be fine, if they just want to tell the first fnaf game story.

THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING. The super gory events in the FNAF games have either been implied, or shown through the most tame way possible (8-Bit minigames), and the fact that most FNAF Games are rated T which is basically videogame PG-13

And ya,as a 13 year old I highly appreciate the fact you support the younger audience such as me! Thank you, also I liked the video it was really funny

Prime example 😂
Doctor Strange 2 is also a good example of serious gore in a pg-13 movie
Thanks. I agree 😊

I know right people see these VHS tapes and expect the film to be as gruesome as them. I'm excited for the movie PG-13 or R-Rated, gonna be hype 🎉

No, not kids, it's a franchise that all ages can enjoy but isn't directed towards children specifically
What rlly gets me is the way these ppl will be like "but fnaf isnt for kids" but they probably got into fnaf when *they* were at least in their teens
My only issue is that censors for kids content can be super nitpicky and stuff that is completely fine can get cut while actual adult content can slip through
Yeah the ratings boards are notoriously arbitrary about what constitutes “child friendly”
Hell it’s well known that LGBTQ content always gets slapped with a higher rating
I just hope the film is actually good.
Blood and gore or not I still want to leave the theater traumatized
Remember, most of the analog horror for FNAF could actually be PG-13, as it usually doesn’t show gore. It lets much of your imagination take over. Horrific sounds, unnatural movement, uncomfortable edits. Literally that one video where it showed the animatronic(I think it was Chica or Freddy) and they looked at the camera, then no sound, black screen, and the mask opening with only a smiling child being present to this day still gets me. No blood, no gore, no swearing. Just pure, nightmarish art…
As a none adult I agree with this so much
This is the most matured video on the matter.
They are Teen Rated games anyways. So, PG-13 rating make sense.
The games are Teen Rated anyways. So, the movie should have the same rating!
I haven't even started the video and i already agree
One, a movie has to be FINISHED to be rated, two, whether or not you slap an R or PG-13 it’s the same movie, changing it to R won’t make the movie gorier, that’s not how movies or TIME itself works
thank you good sir
@@Ewumd68CreatorGuy Your welcome squire
@@SCP-469 thank you for all that thy do for the kindom of internetlandia
Finally someone with basic common sense, you are definitely right my friend
@@Leech-3 And the movie has just officially been confirmed PG-13, so I imagine I’m gonna see a lot of crying and complaining
I wanted my FNAF movie to be bloody, I’m sorry but that’s my taste
as much as i want an R rated fnaf movie there is a 95% chance it will be pg-13
fnaf rated r, while it would be cool, would also be inaccessible to the majority of fnaf fans, which would only accentuate the sense of elitism the fandom has been picking up
Just ask for a freaking unrated cut, dude
It’s not that hard to ask, and take M3GAN & Alien VS Predator for example.
To the people who wanted the movie to be rated r
Why?
This is a kids game
What would make the movie anywhere over pg 13
I wasn't expecting the movie to be rated R, PG-13 makes more sense. I'm also keeping my expectations extremely low because most movies have been sh*t.
I wanna see Willy get springlocked… that’s basically it. If they do it, and do it well, I am happy
100% agree!!!
a lot of people are using security breach as an example of a game "dumb downed and made less scary" for kids, but honestly i disagree. i think they just flubbed it, not to make it child friendly but just cuz that is what happens if you take on a task too big with an inexperienced team and bad planning
Inexperienced team is top tier disrespect
I thought it was obvious too😭
I thought it was going to be rated R because I heard that they were going to show the kids being murdered on screen
Hopefully in FNAF 2 movie, we will get a more gory (MA or just a buff on the gores)
I agree with you springs because I am 12
How will be the animatronics stuffing guards in freddy suits, and the graphic novels is for kids but HAS blood, if not have blood, im ok
To be fair, the stuffing is almost certainly not THAT gory :V
What is everyone's problem with PG-13!? We're finally getting the FNaF movie, be grateful you 12 year old crybabies!!! The FNaF movie will be good.
