- New for 2022, Astra Lumina at South Coast Botanic Garden is an immersive night walk experience that uses light, scenography, original soundscape and projection to spark emotion and plunge visitors into an imaginative world. The Garden sets the stage for a phenomenal event: a visit from the stars. This enchanted stellar journey invites stargazers to set off across the Garden’s celestial pathway to encounter the wonder of the stars and embrace their own human light. As the night unfolds, these luminous orbs regenerate, rise, and reunite in the night sky, to shine brighter than ever before.

That was an amazing video! I can't imagine waiting that long for a shuttle to return to your car, especially with a little kid. Great advice for the people that can't get onsite parking.

Hi Chris. The Holiday lights and decorations are beautiful, but it's nice to see something that is different. I agree that the fog adds that extra dimension to the experience. Astra Lumina does look like a sparking Death Star. LOL. Sorry you had problems with the shuttle bus. Thanks for sharing and take care.

That light show does look really cool! The parking situation definitely does not sound appealing. Hopefully they are working to improve it!

I like so many of your videos, but some of them are more my absolut favorite - like this one. Wow, it is spectacular! 😍 👏 I would love to have my apartment with all those lightning and colors. Wouldn't you like to have your house light up with all those amazing colors? Do you visit that place a lot?

Hi Gumer -- I think it's "more unique" than Descanso Gardens. The parking situation sucks.. if the parking was better it definitely could be!
If you had to place these in order of best experience how would you place these 3, astra, lightscape, and descanso?
Descanso, Astra, Lightscape. I would put Astra higher if the parking didn't suck 😉
@@YellowProductions thank you, parking stuff doesn’t really bug me too much I’ve dealt with some bad stuff as well, been at least 5 years since I’ve been to descanso so I will definitely be trying astra!
So someone put a bunch of wayfair lights in their backyard and people are going nuts over it? I don’t get it. Have we run out of things to do, or have we changed the definition of “fun?”
I spent $115 for 3 pple and a hr drive

Not sure.... much of the path is dirt so strollers might be a bit challenging to push through

Just went here. Its absolutely disappointing, the first section is amazing with the laser fogs but the rest was repetitive and meh. The finale is a giant disco ball, the Japan and europe astra lumina is by far more interactive but this was such a waste time and money.
Sorry to hear you were dissapointed. Now I want to see the ones in Japan and Europe!

@@MishkathePomsky-Alusky Some people are just like that, they expect a godlike experience out of an event that costa less than $100 bucks.
I don't see what people are so excited about. This was a total disappointment. And $20 for parking in a lot 90% empty. Total rip off. I suggest you avoid it and go see some nice holiday lights instead.
