One potential downside is that your videos will encourage more visitors and expats to relocate to Queretaro which in time may significantly change the local culture and charm. (To wit: San Miguel de Allende). But more tourist dollars will inevitably help the local economy. This may be worth the risk.

Thank you for the information on Queretaro. My wife is from Dolores-Hidalgo and I’m part Colombian (I’m fluent in Spanish, lived in Cartagena). We are thinking of retiring in Queretaro or San Miguel in a few years. Possibly splitting time between Texas (where we live) and Mexico. We had a family member have their house in Dolores broken into and furniture stolen.

Hola you estoy pensando en mudarme a Mexico (o tal vez Ecuador), seria posible encontrarme con ustedes si voy a Queretaro? Me encantaría tener el placer de conocerles y claro, obtener buenos consejos.
Really, the only negative comment we ever see about Queretaro is that it is the Silicon Valley of Mexico and because of that it is expensive compared to Morelia, Puebla, and other places. I know Mexico City is the most expensive city in Mexico....is Queretaro #2 ? Thx !
Good video. A couple of points: 1) Hard to read the conversion to U.S. dollars because it's covered by the Spanish translation. 2) There was inconsistency in when you made the conversion to U.S. dollars. But I do like your content.
Brand new to your channel. Considering checking out Queretaro as a possible place to live eventually (need to get past the tourist visa to a temporary one first!). Thinking of coming down in June to learn and see more of this city. Seeing your breakdown on expenses helped me to narrow down my choices of places to check out in Mexico. Thank you! Maybe we could meet up as you offered in your video :)
Sorry to step into your comment 😅 Queretaro is a great place to live however I would have loved to know beforehand that there are areas that flood and others that have water issues as in there is no water for a couple days a week
I think you did a fairly organized job of all the different expenses ,except transportation, like buses or Ubers/lifts.Also what about Laundry ?So places have a machine ,other no,so people go to a lavendaria ,which is very affordable..

Pienso que la rents es lo mas caro. Pero si lla tienes casa entonses si es demaciado. $1500 a el mes.
can we ask to them if they are legals on mexico .?
Hola you estoy pensando en mudarme a Mexico (o tal vez Ecuador), seria posible encontrarme con ustedes si voy a Queretaro? Me encantaría tener el placer de conocerles y claro, obtener buenos consejos.
Quetararo is on the top of list of places I would live in Mexico. The standard of living seems about the same or even better then USA at half the cost
Hey!!! I would love to meet you!!!
Cool
This might sound silly, but can you share what the street dog situation is in Queretaro please.
Really, the only negative comment we ever see about Queretaro is that it is the Silicon Valley of Mexico and because of that it is expensive compared to Morelia, Puebla, and other places.
I know Mexico City is the most expensive city in Mexico....is Queretaro #2 ? Thx !
It could be. I'm not sure now because Monterrey is an expensive city as well but it's not a lie that Querétaro has a high cost of living.
Thanks for outing me. I am nosy
I think you did a fairly organized job of all the different expenses ,except transportation, like buses or Ubers/lifts.Also what about Laundry ?So places have a machine ,other no,so people go to a lavendaria ,which is very affordable..
The bus fares are pretty cheap like $10-20 pesos ($0.50-1), Uber is usually a bit more expensive. It also dends on the distance
Hey Karencita!, I love your videos, you are such a great role model to follow :). I have planned on moving to Queretaro and ofc I have got a lot of questions before doing it so I would like to know what is it like to work in Queretaro? And how easy is it to get a decent job there?.
Con 20 mil pesos por mes vivo en mexico ?
7 mil renta
2 mil - luz, agua, celular
4 mil - comida
2 mil - transporte
5 mil - paseo

Can i use my tourist visa to get job in Mexico
If you have a us prescription can I just go to the pharmacy & just buy what we need? Or do I have to see the doctor first.
I don't think US prescriptions are worth anything outside of the US. I imagine US doctors wouldn't accept a Mexican prescription.
@@LaKarencitaMX oh thanks. I have asthma am I just walk into the pharmacy & refill my inhaler without prescription? Just wanted to know before I go visit for an extended time. I was told you can only bring so many duplicate meds over. I just don’t want to run out. My asthma is scary.
@@hamilton0526 It's very easy for something like that. Most pharmacies have a doctor in the same building. You can pay MX$50-70 for a consultation and they will give you the prescription. Since you know exactly what you need, I imagine it would be very simple.
@@LaKarencitaMX oh thank you I appreciate it 🤗
Hi sis I want visit Maxico

Why you have to pay medical insurance if you are too young ?
