- Yinlin does not only come home earlier than expected, thanks Kuro, but she also brings some shocking damage numbers with her as well. She is a Rectifier Electro Hybrid DPS who not only elevates Calcharo Teams to a whole new level , but also allows for new Quickswap Teams.

I was genuinely impressed by her damage output, i feel like the term "Hybrid DPS" that you mentioned describes her better than "Sub DPS" , as she does a LOT of damage while also providing strong buffs on top of that
with her weapon she is so easy to build, my electro 3 cost are hp/def and she is rocking 80/190 CR
@@ixirionkeep in mind the 1:2 ratio in wuwa is different to gi/hsr since crit dmg displayed has the extra 100, meaning %150 cd in wuwa is like genshins 50%

What I have figured out is Verina e q r calcharo echo swap cancel into yin lin ult into calcharo ult into cancel the dive into yin lin e e2 cancel into calcharo then repeat untill you do a yin lin ult into forte swap verina in when u need heals idk what this dude was on calcharo has so many quick swap opportunities you just need really fast fingers

Her swap cancel tech is crazy i got her yesterday she seemed fine and then today i spend a little time looking up combos etc and now she feels super smooth and im sure ive only scratched the surface
you can quick swap her basic 3 and still get her basic 4 apparently, and then swap cancel that as well. thats probably the most advanced thing i saw so far. (E2 and heavy attack being the other 2 things you can swap cancel ofc)

when people say main dps, do they mean they are going to not swap during long animations and just stare at 1 character mostly for the duration of the fight? if so thats fine but this game kinda rewards playing the whole team at once haha

Pulled a bunch of yuanwu dupes and he works quite well and is easy to use with her in a quick swap team. He actually doesn't need crazy field time if you can open his rotation with intro> skill > liberation as that puts him in supercharge mode where usually around 1 auto rotations will finish his concerto. His liberation hits like a truck with yinlin's outro buff and his S5, and you can run double void thunder set as he doesn't scale on attack. The amount of damage numbers on your screen is insane with this combo - super fun!

@@kensha1643 Probably the usual suspects, Verina, Jianxin, Baizhi. Verina takes little field time and her buffs don't expire on swap, so she's really good in quickswap teams.
@@kensha1643 main thing to consider when building yuanwu is he scales with defense. I use typical 433111 void thunder echo setup with defense % 1 costs and electro damage 3 cost. For weapon there is a 4 star gauntlet that gives defense % but its gacha only (don’t have) so I use the battle pass gauntlet for crit rate instead.
4 cost echoes can actually roll high defense % as a main stat so im not sure if that would be better or crit rate / crit dmg, but for now rocking crit rate.
For best teammates it would be Verina and of course yinlin. If you don’t have verina any other quick swap dps / support will work like Sanhua, spectro rover, Jianxin etc.
Playing Yinlin on a Calcharo team is SO FUN!!!! Still working out the best combos/swap cancels for max efficiency, but she’s made me fall even more in love with Calcharo and this game’s more advanced technical possibilities (something that usually makes me give up on a game!)

I am absolutely in LOVE with the Yinlin Encore play. I'm still trying to understand the quick swap game play, but these 2 really force me to think about it and it feels so good when I do even some of it correct!
Really wanting to figure out the best practices to optimize this style of game play going forward since it just feels so overwhelming to start moving into it at first especially after being a GI player for so long.

May I suggest a redo of calcharo guide, especially since the giga (IMO) nerf with Yinlin cancel sinergy it's gonna require work around in rotations.
I do get Havor Rover // encore might be better team mates, problem is we only have 3x "tier 0" quickswap units, so ATM double electro seems a cool team to build and smthing a lot of ppl were looking for, myself included.
I got yinlin in 3rd pull which lets me get her weapon so now im enjoying her quickswapping with my encore

Note that Jinzhou keeper is not a craftable weapon, it is a gacha only weapon.

4:00 I believe this measure prevents the game from being a one playstyle meta. If quick swap could maintain the outros, hyper carry would be pushed out. This way you can build multi dps w/support quick swap, or hyper carry w/ support. One takes advantage of as many cooldowns and small dps windows as possible, the other funnels their cooldowns and buffs to the carry. Both are viable, one is way more sweaty. If outros lasted through swaps, there would be no reason to run a hyper carry team.
I saw it in another video and tested it, so i can say better than basic attk her heavy fills bar more. So i think it is better to fill the bar up using it.
EXACTLY! I hate people recommending clouds for her, she does so much damage, the thunder set benefit will greatly outweight moonlit.

I need help with choosing Which limited banner weapon should i pick: yinlin’s stringmaster or jiyan’ verdent sumit sword ? I have bother characters as well as encore and calchiro. So either weapon can be uaed on two characters but i dont have enough jade to get both. I would use either a choise from the battle pass weapon or the five star selector for the second choise.

I’m still confused for the best yinlin’s echo. I use calcharo as my main dps, but what I thought that I won’t use yinlin often in the field cause I only need her buff for calcharo. Is it still better to use void thunder set or moonlight cloud set? And should we go for 44111 or 43311?

So the dmg buff that moonlit clouds gives clacharo means overall damage is still less than a 5pc electro set??
Yinlin does not need to only focalised on basic attack or dodge counter to make use of his sinner's mark, charged attack can be used, and it can saves you up to 4/5 secs to get your Forte faster, you should not use her basic attack if you want to change her forte quickly

4:00 - Riven, so, do you recommend we keep calcharro on the field for the full duration of yinlin's outro buff? Im honestly confused on what is optimal here after the change to yinlin's outro buff.
You still want to swap his death messengers, not doing that will get you either killed or you just lose more damage than you would gain from her buff.

So if I'm understanding you correctly, it's still preferable to swap him out because of leaving himself open with death messengers, time it takes, and you actually lose out on DMG when you try to use the full duration? Okay, thank you very much. Kind of sad the outro isn't very useful now 😭

Like, with the buff removal when swap cancelling and the DPS would be lower if I tried to keep her on the field for the full duration? I love Encore and have been saving my currency for that future character to boost her even more. Would it even be worth getting that dedicated buffer with this outro change?

Soft pity? I get her in 30 pull and her sign at 50 pull. Some people get her in 10 pull.

Got her s6 to play her as a main dps. Sadly upgrading her weapon doesn't seem to be worth it. Still not sure who to pair her with beside the support unit.
Maybe grandpa yuanwu, depleting vibration tough fast, so yinlin will have more dps window without dodging etc

How is team without any electro units better then calcharo's when they cannot benefit from electro DMG buff?

The fact she can go directly from intro > B4 and directly go from swap into B2 makes her basically wanna spam B2+3 with the occasional B4. The damage dealt from her judgement, the quick-swappy style, the energy and concerto generation from on-CD usage of her skills and especially the fact that you can easily swap cancel mostt of her skills, basically allowing you to play 2 characters at once (i.e. encorre/hrover + yinlin), makes more than up for the damage you could possibly do with calcharo. This doesn't even mention that swapping will give you s which you don't have with calcharo, which makes it easier for you to "accidently" dodge things while not losing uptime. Calcharo requires 5 basics to even cast his DM, which then takes 2 seconds. this effectively means you can only swap in yinlin every ~3.5-4.5 seconds, however, yinlin would like to be swapped in every 2-3 seconds. This AGAIN means, calcharo does not provide her with the timeframes she would like for optimal energy, concerto and judgement generation. She is a great teammate for him, no question. But he is not a great teammate for her.
doesn't the sinners mark disappear if you swap out of Yinlin? How does that work with swapping out of her basic attack 4 into her forte? or is it because she does an attack when she swaps back. Im not sure. I know he mentioned something about it but I just want confirmation
It's really hard to provide rotations for quickswap heavy teams. You are right, if you switch cancel the P4, the mark disappears. You either have to dash cancel it, rejoin with another intro or 1 basic before her forte. You can also delay your ult and use the AOE rotation for single target.
If I remember correctly, swapping back in without intro during fight will start with her doing one part of Basic Attack that, if landed, will set the mark back for the forte. Need to check back in game to make sure though.
After taking her for a spin yesterday, in quicker fight, I find staying for BA 2-4 even dangerous especially waiting for the uppercut of BA3 to finish. Good news is with enough Energy regen (Especially going slightly more than 30 or even having her at S2) will give you access to her ResoLib at BA2-3, given you haven't ResoLib before in non tower situation. You can then just end at BA2-3 into ResoLib into forte and dip.
I agree with @iamrivenous that you could also just move the ResoLib down in all rotation to before forte. Less optimal, but easier to remember and execute.
I was curious if her forte circuit/judgement dmg counts as skill dmg? The wording in her kit was a bit confusing for me. Also would you recommend the typical encore/sanhua team or encore/yinlin quick swap team?
chameleon is heavy dmg, judgement is skill dmg.
encore+yinlin has bigher dmg potential but is also significantly harder to play
Are there any 4*'s that she pairs well with? Maybe some mention to the 4*'s can also help
okay probably a stupid question, when you say swap cancel, is this implying that your concerto energy is already full? or are we ignoring it for the combos? I only just started to learn about Echo swapping, and this is the first time i'm hearing about swap canceling normal attacks and skills. Would I have to do that as well with Havok rover since i'm maining him?
I would recommend looking up a video that explains it but yes, swap cancel consists of switching characters without concerto energy (ignoring it for combos, as you said.)
It's very easy to execute most of them and they increase your dps by a considerable amount.

Echo on Yinlin. I do not include other characters echoes, rotation or similar in those character guides. An example rotation could be start off with Encore skill, switch to yinlin echo + B1, back to encore skill p2 > verina full combo > yinlin ...
@@iamrivenous not really sure what B1 means or echo canceling but what I'm also confused by is the thundering echo taking the backseat when thunderings multipliers were much higher. Think I'm playing the wrong game...
@@seikijin2308 Thundering takes FOREVER to field to a point where the echo might as well be your main dps, whereas Tempest is relatively quick.
@@mebite839 ye... Was frustrated actually went to watch some vids and didn't realize swap canceling was used so much. It's kinda sad because I got a crit/DMG/skill/ulti thundering earlier now realize he's not the best.
Also now I'm learning u can swap cancel her forte but I thought she needed to be on field for sinners marks to become punishment. 🥺
@@seikijin2308 Once you use her forte, the sinners mark becomes punishment. After that, you can swap to another character and benefit from the punishment mark.

I have a question. Is performing a swap cancel on characters like Encore and Calcharo, where they don't lose their ult when we swap back to them, considered as being off the field? It could be that it's still counted as being on the field, because they don't lose their ult, so technically they also don't lose their buff.
Switching a character out counts as off-field, even if the character is visually still on-field

That's actually more than fine imo. Havoc Rover also get to utilize a bit of Yinlin outro buffing ResoLib damage provide you nuke with Rover right after Yinlin dip out. Encore cannot really take advantage of that.
Was Yuanwu really nerfed so hard he doesn't even get mentioned? Or is it the assumption many people probably wont get him r6? It's curious.

I'm so conflicted now. I was super hyped for thr game because of thr calcharo yinlin combo. Even rerolled hard at thr start to set thr stage for it. Now I'm not so sure. Not even being able to swap between her E's is rough :x.

Good question! It's a theoretical DPS increase, not a damage increase. The additional judgement generated shortens her rotation, which means while she now also inflicts less damage, the time needed to deal said damage goes down significantly as well. I would like to quote Prydwen here (www.prydwen.gg/wuthering-waves/characters/yinlin), as I think they have a good TLDR of it.
"[...], please also pay close attention to S2 as it makes her already short rotation even shorter - this is the reason it results in such a tremendous dps gain but smaller total damage number."
Personally, as much as I love her design, I don't think I'll pull for her. Main reason being that I don't like quick swap teams that much. I enjoy having a main DPS that gets buffed, does his shit, and then the cycle begins again. Jiyan for that reason is my favorite DPS that I play so far. Maybe I'll get used to quick swaps, but for now, I don't like it. And I personally don't like Calcharo's playstyle either. Still need him to clear the second tower however.
We have the same play style, since I also don't really like quick swap. However I still pull for her and i really enjoy her character. Just play the way you like, probably not the 'best' in terms of maxing out your team dps but who cares as long as you enjoy your game
