For me Danjin always ends up with less HP after doing her combos and executing the heal. Even if not getting hit. It just drains her HP to 0 eventually. Is this intended?

I've watched severak guides of havoc rover and Danjin and its still not clear to me how to play them both together optimally. Is havoc the better "main" field time character? or Danjin?
Ideally, u need verina, so basically: 1.build verina concerto, trigger her outro 2.swap to Danjin, build her forte n use it 3.swap to Rover, trigger umbra, ult, then echo dreamless 4.rinse & repeat 5.ult whenever u want, preferably to parry, lol If u have dreamless on Danjin asw, then always use it after casting ult. Depends on her role, u may or may not change her echo set to moonlit whatever (I forgot), it boost next Chara dmg by 15%
I wanted Danjin. No wait, i really wanted Danjin. Have i said how much i wanted Danjin? Probably not. But the gods of gacha told me to get bent. 110 pulls, 50/50 lost to Calcharo (thank God it wasnt Lingyang) and only got her when i got Jiyan. Obviously also pulled for the weapon, that can be useful for Calcharo too. I was kinda sad they changed her story from CBT. It was a lot darker. But Jiyan perfect for me, im too tired from work to actually dodge things when i play, so Jiyan autoparry works wonders. But i do find her hp consumption style interesting. Its a great character to train on: either dodge or get annihilated. I hope she reruns on 1.1. Im more interested in her than the 4 stars.
Important note: For both her 2x skill and 3x skill, you can replace the first basic attack with a single tap of the skill e.g., Skill Basic Basic Skill Skill Skill for sanguine pulse I think it was technically included in the video but it wasn't that obvious. It helps build up her Forte faster
Realistically Danjin is used for her outro buff for hmc, or farm internet points on boss showcases. In tower optimal (1 hp) Danjin is impossible to pull off because you will get hit from stuff off screen or puddles on the ground and die, she is only good vs bosses. The safer version (>50% hp) is fine to play but strictly inferior to hmc as a DPS, and even more so when hmc get all the dupes later on.
Plenty of characters can dish out the same dps or more without the risk of getting one shot. Also most mobs die before you can utilize her skill boosted heavy attack. There's really no reason to play Danjin unless you just like playing her. If you're very good at dodging and parrying she can be a decent boss killer.
@@aeon5566 well you’re right about the part that you play danjin if you want play her, but she’s top tier dps if played well. Currently she deals more damage than my jinhsi without any tower buffs. Although she does have higher investment than my jinhsi when it comes to echoes
Does Danjin have any presence in the story at all? Her design and playstyle are top tier, especially for a 4 star, but I cant remember her existing anywhere except for being in my team comp 🤔.
Yup no where to be found in the story as of now. She wasn't even present in that big battle with all the resonators against the all tacet discords. I'd find it funny that Yuanwu showed up despite not even being talked about in the story until that moment
Damn, no mention of Taoqi as a team mate. She provides a huge shield, doesn't heal Danjin, only herself, so she can still use the healing set, and she gives Havoc damage boost.
Taoqi becomes good in this setup if you have a good way of building up concerto energy so she can kick off Danjin after. If not you're going to spend 20 seconds auto attacking after your skill/ult rotation. Which is a waste of time, damage and shields. And since Taoqi auto attacks do not scale off of defense she will do paltry damage during that period.

I've tried the rotation you've recommended at 10:19, however, when starting at 0 Forte, the rotation always comes 10 Ruby Blossom short of completely filling the Forte Meter at 120 Ruby Blossom. The nice thing with danjin is, her animation and effects are simple and clean, and does not clutter the screen. Sometimes with other characters, the effects are too flashy that it is hard to see an enemy attack.

DanJin's supposed to have a heal in burst as her S6 and they removed it. That would've been a great qol and they removed it. I think she's great to play solo but in TOA where even a mini flower can kill you in your back is such a stupid design. Her hp lose should've cap @idk mybe 45 - 30 %?

i think she buffs skill, danjin buffs havoc, but yes they're a good match up especially w havoc mc
if youre a casual, taoqi is viable. if you want an efficient dps team that isnt clunky in rotation, taoqi is never the best defensive option.
