Just buried my dad 2 days ago. And seeing someone, the only person I’ve ever looked like and been truly accepted for and loved by, underground....this song.... changes me from wanting to go lay in the casket with him to wanting to be everything he was and live the life he’d want me to live.

Same thing happened to me. Me and my sister were on our way to take my dad off life support and this song came on. It made me think. This was back in 2013.
My father loved Motley Crue, I honestly never knew about six:am until recently, me and my father used to jam Motley Crue down the highway, sadly it will be 8 years on Tuesday since his death.

I was trapped in a heroin addiction and for this song makes me think about my 15 year affair with the drug. This hits home I’m 6 months clean still rocking this song.

My experience was tad bit higher I was high and my friend was telling me that he loved that new shine down song bully we been getting high and finally the song comes on he had a trip years back were he thought he was going to die and I told him to go to the light because I did way more than him and when I trip out before that even further back he laughed at me I felt like I died lived a infinite number of times died and came back to live it again I was forever changed well anyway when the song came on the chorrus is no one's gonna cry on the very day u die so lonely so I put my hands together told myself the next song is mine and this song played and it felt so good

Four years of nonstop heavy drinking. Hospital visit because I was near death, or so they tell me. Family is losing faith in me. I just sarcastically thought to myself “wonderful. Everything is great, life is beautiful.” Remembered this song after years. So here I am, hoping I’ll get energized and think of a reason to continue. Nikki Sixx truly KNOWS the subect…. An ex girlfriend contacted me at 3 AM and told me she felt that there was no hope …life was hopeless…. Had her come over and during the course of making her breakfast let her listen to a podcast of an interview with Nikki Sixx discussing this song and his journey to sobriety and what happened to him…. Then I played this song for her….
….. Long story short she got clean and is married and just had her first child… occasionally she will post this song in her feed and tag me in it with a simple message… thank you…

I sent this to my uncle who was an addict. I told him I loved him and I'd help in any way possible but not money like he'd ask for. A few months later he overdosed. My grandma woke up on her birthday to him OD on her couch on fentenyl. The pills hed gotten were laced with it apparently. He was only in his mid 30s and left behind a baby who will never know him, who is his spitting image now.
If you're reading this just know you matter and people love you. Life is too fleeting and beautiful to waste.

This song still crushes my soul whenever I hear it. In a good way I guess. I lost my wife to a heroin overdose, I heard this within the week she died and it's always stuck with me. It's a boost as well as super painful.
