You're my new weather guy. Unsubscribed from everybody else. Thank you for being a normal, comon sense guy that doesn't sensationalize this stuff. Plus you don't have that annoying UA-cam inflection in your delivery. Big smile here, THANK YOU ! ! !
I not only do not subscribe to other forecasting channels, I don't bother watching them anymore. At all. I've noticed they've mostly moved to hyping the weather with clickbait images and titles for their videos, which I absolutely despise. I've taken to blocking many of them from my feed all together. Over the last year I've been spoiled by Travis and his forecasting because it's non hyped and realistic. That's all I ever wanted, versus the "weatherman voice" so many try to brand themselves by and inaccurate guessing and hype.
@@jackovermyer3043 at some point he might have to to help support his channel..I'd support. I 100 percent agree with you...he's just giving us facts and facts only
I got a bad feeling in my guts about this ice storm. I’m a farmer in rural Western Kentucky. The local news says not to worry it’s all gonna be rain here and they straight up said all the folks online are just hyping the storm up. I’m gonna take steps to prepare. The last time I listened to the mainstream with a storm like this we lost power for 3 weeks. I think they are just mad because folks are listening to other sources and I’d rather be safe than sorry. Appreciate the honesty sir 🫡
Travis, when you present your outlook on the weather it is like I am talking to a good friend. Thank you for leaving out the sensationalism and hype, and just delivering an accurate forecast that anyone can understand!
Travis, thank you for keeping us informed. We are in the heaviest snow band (Greene County, Il). It takes days to get the horses and our farm prepared for this kind of weather. If we would have only watched local weather or even AccuWeather, we would have been behind the power curve on this! Thank you for your knowledge and updates! You keep us all safe and that is Angel work.... Thank you!
I'm in Kansas City, Mo. They're opening up warming stations here as shelters are only open at night. If you can afford it please consider hand warmers, warm socks, mittens, blankets, sleeping bags, tents etc for our unsheltered brothers and sisters. If anything hand out hand warmers at stop lights. Help stray animals too! A warm box with old clothing could save their lives!
Miss you on our local news, but so happy to watch you here!! This is where I get my weather updates now. Excited to see your subscribers grow! Thanks for all you do! You're the best!!
Travis, I m in my late 50’s and have been an earth science freak since I was in elementary school. I have studied, weather patterns, cloud formations, geology and much more. I have a degree in Horticulture and am a certified Herbalist also. I prefer to go out in nature and harvest my own plants for medicinal purposes. I really respect your decision to leave the job and spend time with your family. These models are really starting to come together to show the (almost) same conclusion. Thank you for everything that you do for the public, who would otherwise have no clue! Much appreciation and love from Connecticut! 🌹😊🥰
@lisalabar7262 so if I may pick your brain per say, what is happening over the last decade as far as weather patterns or events that stand out to you? If there are any ?
Other models are up to 19 inches of snow for the Stl areas and east. From 5 inches to 19 inches is the one of the biggest differences in the models that I can ever remember seeing.
I'm a little sad we're not getting the dump of snow around Chicago, but on the plus side it should moderate our temperatures with the blast of arctic air we're supposed to get next week. Local temperature forecasts have had highs in the 20s here where a dump of snow would have put those highs in the teens or lower.
Do you believe this could shift further north. I’ve heard it recently started shifting ever so slightly north. I’m asking primarily for northeast Nebraska! Thanks!
I'm in far southern Illinois and I can tell you since Tuesday we have not been above 40° and yesterday we didn't hit 40 but high 30s so there is cold air fairly in place. I wonder if they will issue ice storm warnings for my area? I am located 30 miles north of the Ohio River but closer to the Mississippi River(Missouri state line). Thx Travis for staying on top of this storm for the past several days!
Good morning Travis. It looks like from Central and Southern N.J. on South may get a decent amount of snowfall out of this one if everything comes together.
The snow fall totals in western Maryland I know are going to be high because of the temperature. It will be over 10-1 snow accumulation ratio. It’s supposed to be around 23-24 degrees during the storm .
Which timeframe model do you like? I heard you say you weren’t a big fan of the 06z. I have often wondered if one time suite was better than the others.
The three northwestern counties in Ohio collectively yawn with the weekend storm. Come this time next week it will look the same, cold and dormant lawns.
🤣 Things have looked dead and dormant here in Michigan for a few months now. I get used to it quickly. It's just what the world looks like when not full of heat, humidity, and wasps.
I wouldn't be surprised if the models evolve further. I think Louisville is too close to that line to assume its going to be mostly an ice event. These storms can bring a variety of precipitation into the valley that evolve and amass as the storm feeds into it. I have a feeling Louisville will be a snow and sleet event with snow being the dominant feature. Its just too close to the snow line on those maps and the history of how that typically plays here.
Gas wells can freeze? That doesn't sound good at all. I lived in Florida for 10 years and I know what not being prepared for a cold blast can feel like, but not having any option for heat sounds completely miserable.

Mine too!
Agree! They talk for 5 minutes before they ever get to the WEATHER!

I feel the same way. Have since he had a few thousand subs
No BS, not selling merchandise. Just good weather information!! A+ , I don't watch anybody else.

@
Is this an honest question? 🤔
@lisalabar7262 yes it is sincere
I'm asking u sincerely what you have noticed if anything as far as weather, or patterns ?? I'm not being sarcastic in any way
@lisalabar7262 I love your background in horticulture , and being an herbalist it's what I am into myself.
Thank you Travis for sharing. I’m upper Ohio River Valley Ohio. Very close to Wheeling WV. Stay safe everyone and blessings to you all ❤🙏🕊️
Your channel is really calm and matter-of-fact. I like it! Subscribed 😊
This guy is awesome
Travis, thanks for the weather forecast.
Just keep doing what you’re doing. Serve ads but only for things you actually use and need. Don’t sell out.
Appreciate the level headed delivery instead of all the hype from others
MD PA line! Yes! would love to see a 12"+ event. Can't remember when we had one last time.
I heard they even tried beating it out of him, but to no avail...THE METEOROLOGY WAS JUST TOO STRONG!
Appreciate your updates! Columbus, Ohio hoping for a decent snow ❄️
I agree, I am the Westerville, Ohio area and I am hoping that we get more than 6 inches of snow.
❤
New sub here! I like how you execute your weather on here. You seem down to earth and give the real deal. Thanks!😊
Glad I found your channel! You keep it real man
Ten to twenty percent of snow. That's a holiday for us. SNOW DAY!!
I’m so happy!
Just subscribed thanks brother, checking in from ocean county New Jersey
I like your weather reports & can tell you know what you're talking about!
Just need it to go alil more north
Same here still got a few days
@@ExtremeWeatherGroup The NY/PA boarder counties have been missing out of storms since late summer. It's just a continuation of that pattern.
Other models are up to 19 inches of snow for the Stl areas and east. From 5 inches to 19 inches is the one of the biggest differences in the models that I can ever remember seeing.
Well looks like it's changing for my area of NC good. Do not want ANY ice. Hopefully just a cold rain 🙏

So, it’s basically just a normal January winter weather pattern with snowfall occurring where it normally does.
Love watching grandkids are happy snow on the way
Yeah, my granddaughter Hayley and I were discussing about having a major snowball war! 😝
Great forecast
Don’t have to worry about this one in Southeast Michigan
Do you believe this could shift further north. I’ve heard it recently started shifting ever so slightly north. I’m asking primarily for northeast Nebraska! Thanks!

Cincinnati Ohio here
we're going to make up for the little amount of snow Columbus Ohio has had for the last 5 years

Can you press this system just a little lower to cover TN please? 😅😄🙏🏼
Our local weather is saying rain , and I’m in the mountains of North Carolina
Gotta love how the 95 corridor goes pfft. Baltimore area is the hardest to predict
Yea that spot in south jersey that you pointed to an couldn’t get the name out. That was cape may nj.
Us in the south will just miss the snow again lol
How do you feel kc will get ice or more snow
18z EURO gave me hope for a northern shift. Still time but hasnt gone further North since

Sigh...so glad its sliding south of western NY
Looks increasingly likely we’re gonna get hammered here in DC!
Maybe we'll get lucky and DC will shut down until at least Jan. 20th.
Just started snowing here in N Iowa

Please shift south 50 miles 🤞🏽 for central va
Just needs to trend a little more north 😂😂 so CT can get into some snow.
What site do u get those percentages from thst shows percentages of at least so many in hes of snow?
Its the cold temperature in Texas that can have catastrophic effects on the grid that is supplied by gas wells that can freeze.
Gas wells can freeze? That doesn't sound good at all. I lived in Florida for 10 years and I know what not being prepared for a cold blast can feel like, but not having any option for heat sounds completely miserable.
Raleigh nc continues with a thousand plus days with no measureable snow ..hmmm
I’m in Parkersburg wv and it’s not looking good. Lol
You Show Up In My Notifications Mostly.
Doesn’t look like the Fort Wayne area will get much in this storm I’m hopping for 2-3 inches of snow probably won’t happen though
Of course the snow falls off in Jersey where i live. SNOW HOLE!
I'm hoping for snow in Arkansas
I feel like the capital region of Albany will never get any snow lol
⛄️⛄️
12:43 LMAO. The snow hole in New Jersey.
Time to go to the liquor store for sure. 15mph winds means 25 mph gusts. Drifts could become biblical.
What happened to the live?
Please explain more
Why does chicago constantly do this
in December everyone said we were gonna get like 13 inches but now we’re getting none
@pande-420 ik it's incredibly annoying
Chicago screwing us again in southern Illinois, is that what your saying Travis! 😂. We’re use to it!!!! 😝😝
any chance for snow in Western and Whittier North Carolina
Good morning sir
Any chance for snow in Savannah GA
Not in your lifetime 😂😂😂
I hope the storm ticks north a bit
I’m a new B
Personally, I’ve taken Thursday, and Friday off to prepare, and Monday just in case it’s too much snow
