J-1 throughJ-4. The J-1 was a four seater for a small family. The J-2 was what you would think of as a traditional 2 seater sports car. The J-3 looked like the J-2 except the carb was at the front of the car visible through the front valance and underneath the valance cover was a crank driven supercharger. The J-4 was an all out racer with no doors, exhaust pipes running down the side of the car and you simply hopped in because there were no doors. The carb and supercharger were much larger than the J-3. I would assume the engine had a larger displacement.
That rear seat is not for children only. It actually fits 2 adults. You can see how the back end of the top is high. In the 2 seater, the back of the top goes down. This is designed to make room for the back seat passengers' heads .
Being the owner of three classic M.Gs. I give this video three thumbs up 👍 👍👍
Not sure what I liked better, the car or the conversation with the gentleman. Wonderful. Thanks
Dennis, not sure what inboxing or telegramming is. Am honored at recognition. Other ways to communicate?
Sorry, but that was spam. We have reported it to UA-cam.

What a cool little MG. It’s a shame there is not more of them. I’m surprised there is not a “kit car” available. Is there?
Earlier in the century, there were tiny, low slung cars called cyclecars. Was this an evolution of the cyclecar?
I guess you could look at it that way.
So cool!
wow, incredible car, seen plenty of J2s, but never a J1
Are those doors structural?
Obviously the roof isn't, so I'm amazed the chassis isn't folded & dragging dragging on the ground!
🤠👍put a small electric fan on that bad boy!🙋♂️

No, but he could! He’s really a great guy.
Yep INDEED ❗😋
( Or as Dr. Watson would say, "I should say, Holmes." )

Very cool car!
Cars should be like this again. Maybe with an electric water pump and fan. And water gauge. But the beauty of a simple car is wonderful 😍.
I don't of any cars you don't "LOVE".
