It's always nice to see Phelous covering something Nostalgia Critic did years ago and came off a lot more informative and crazier than Doug Walker will ever be. Congratulations on your 10th anniversary!
That's not to discredit Nostalgia Critic. I like Doug Walker a lot especially in his early days before he did the skits (In fact, I think Doug's Cartoon All Stars is one of the best of his reviews). I'm just saying that Phelan has always been better at adding information that Doug tends to skim over. See his Food Fight review with Alison and Brad, for example. And the crazy bit is just a comedy preference. I've come to like Phelan's deadpan/airhead things better than whatever NC is doing nowadays. It's just personal thing, so please don't mind me.
Jeremy St. Clair The Channel Awesome controversy is just about some people making horrible mistakes that killed their own company. I don't really care about it. Nostalgia Critic as a standalone show is still good. I especially enjoy him talking about 90s cartoon animals, but I feel like Phelous, Bennett the Sage, Lindsey, and Linkara all have surpassed him. Bennett once said there's a limit to just trashing a bad movie, and it shows with NC. The guy is running out of things to review. He is not as entertaining when he praises things. He is also nowhere as innovative or critical as other reviewers.

So fun fact I discovered recently: drug addict protagonist Michael was the first voice role for actor Jason Marsden. More notable voice roles of his include Haku from "Spirited Away", the cat form of Thackery Binx in "Hocus Pocus", Chester McBadbat in "The Fairly Odd Parents" series (taking over the character after Frankie Muniz), and has been the voice of Goofy's son Max since "A Goofy Movie". Edit: also before anyone mentions it, he was also the voice of Kovu from Lion King 2: Simba's Pride (basically many people my age's first furry crush)
Eddy: "Hey! What bout us?" Edd: "Well, Eddy. Our show didn't exist to at least 1999. And besides, this entire thing is a mess!" Eddy: "Ehh...good point. The people who made it must've been on something anyways..."
Doofenshmirtz: "You know, if the cartoon I'm from actually was being produced in 1992 when the idea came around, I might've actually made it in this movie." Ferb: "Except that we'd be two years off."
jamie fernekees Tinky Winky from Teletubbies: Drugs bad, uh oh. Ren from The Ren and Stimpy Show: That teenager is an eeeeediot. Stimpy from The Ren and Stimpy Show: Duuuh, your right Ren, he shouldn't do drugs because like Tinky Winky said that drugs are really bad. Bart Simpson: Hey man, lets kill that teenager. Patrick Star: Yeah, then we'll teach about both drugs and maybe Wumbo. SpongeBob SquarePants: Patrick, I told you before, Wumbo might not a real word. Rocko: The "Wumbo" word is a very dangerous word. Heffer: We gotta stop this kid from taking crack. Filburt: Do cocine, wash your hands, do cocine, wash your hands, do cocine, wash your hands.
"There's 1 billion international ways to say no, I'm in training for football!" That line cracks me up all the time, this is by far the best movie with a point that I've ever seen.
2017: Brad celebrates 10 years of the Cinema Snob by giving us a ten episode dump with each review being a callback to a particular year of the show. 2018: Phelous celebrates his show's 10th anniversary by talking about the most ambitious/infamous crossover of the 90's sponsored by the power of McDonald's. What a time to be alive... Also, it would have really nice to not only have Venkman in this PSA, but have him be reprised by Lorenzo Music as opposed to Dave Coullier. Kind of a missed opportunity to have Lorenzo Music talk to himself... but then again, I wasn't there when this aired.
I saw this special as a kid. I think I was too young to understand anything beyond, "Drugs" are bad. I recall a bunch of "Just Say No To Drugs" commercials. They mostly just left me confused about what "drugs" were. They'd say "drugs" are bad, but they never explain what "drugs" are. If someone had walked up to me and offered me marijuana I would never had know it was a drug because these things would never list the names of any drugs.
Phelps and the Movies started with Mac and Me, a McDonalds product placement movie. And now ten years later, it seems extra-fitting to cover another one!
Here in Germany the intro featured a conservative politician (Hans-Dietrich Genscher) saying something like: "Kids, remember, in the real world your cartoon friends cannot help you! You have to resist those evil drugs on your own!". Looking back it seems as if he was trolling them a bit. ;-)
This makes me wonder if this movie also aired in the Soviet Union and the intro had Mikhail Gorbachev giving a speech about staying away from drugs. I dunno, but that sounds really funny to me.
I won't deny, as a kid, I totally sucked up the "drugs are totally evil" message....... and it..... did not really leave my head, even at the age of 30!
I’m kinda like that too, although, outside of marijuana, I don’t associate drugs like cocaine, heroin, meth, etc. with anyone or anything good. I don’t do marijuana either, I’m just far more open to the kind of people that do it.
I used to think like that, but then I got high when I was 18 and I realized how much bullshit had been spewed to keep people from smoking it. Racist rhetoric or scare tactics, that shit will make you wary of anything trying to claim to know what's good for you.
The most unrealistic part of this entire special is two-fold. 1) The kids would just give crack away for free. 2) They'd chuck it on the floor if they thought the police were around.
You give it to them free for their first time and that basically sets up a reliable future source of income for you. Duh. Besides, it’s not like they’d actually give the good stuff to a first timer lol
@@The3y3 have you ever been given drugs for free? It doesnt happen. Also you've got it backwards, they're more likely to start you on the good stuff and make it worse as the tolerance kicks in to get you buying more.
I’ve _heard_ that Mickey, Donald and Goofy weren’t used because they were shown smoking and/or drinking in some of their old cartoons and they didn’t want to shoot their own message... ...but I’m pretty sure that would apply to Bugs and Daffy as well, so it doesn’t really make much sense.

Congrats on 10 Years! I remember watching this when I was 16 when finding it online and now this is the movie that is sent to friends on what I'm like.
It's surreal that this happened before nicktoons existed. No Ren & Stimpy, Hey Arnold, Spongebob or Rugrats were born in this strange pre-90s period of history.
Phelous is the best. Nostalgia Critic review totally blew through this special. I had no idea how much more there was to joke about. Few minutes in and there is a Garfield reference to catnip is better then Doug’s whole episode. That’s only one of many jokes.
imthinkinwacky I didn’t expect anything because I’ve never seen a traditional NC review until that one. Look at the same reviews NC and Phelous have done since, like Food Fight, and Rapsittie. Phelous goes more in depth and still cracks enough jokes. Don’t get me wrong I still like NC. Any Loony MST3 fan is cool in my book. His bro not so much. I just enjoy Phelous more.
SamtheBravesFan The only thing wrong (IMO) would be not including Mr. Hyde from the Australian cartoon. He could have been Smoke's equivalent as... Mr Poof !!
Infinity War: I have the most ambitious crossover yet. Cartoon All-Stars to the rescue: “Hold My Beer.” Who Framed Roger Rabbit: “Out of my way losers!!!”
This is actually the second most ambitious crossover. The first most ambitious is the one where Scooby Doo, Doc Brown, Beetlejuice, Sonic The Hedgehog, Glados, Voldimort, and more meet up. And their also all made of Lego.
@@alienonlsd3209 its a fair assessment and I stand by it. Even quite a bit of The Critic's own earlier work beats his review of CARTOON ALL STARS TO THE RESCUE.
Love the ending with your own "Cartoon All-Stars"...but major missed opportunity not including the Jetlag!version of Alice [given Alice in Wonderland is often associated with drugs]
The only character who really felt “missing” was GT!Beauty. I’m guessing Phelan just couldn’t come up with anything he thought was funny for her to say?
You know what the problem with the entire DARE program and war on drugs kids initiative was? They kept refusing to *actually talk about what drugs are like.* They always would use metaphors like the infamous "this is your brain on drugs" thing, or cartoons like this where addiction is represented as a sentient cloud of weed smoke. And the fact that it actually takes time to get really addicted, and to get to the point where illegal substances can really negatively impact your life, yet they never really go into that and make it seem like if you smoke one blunt you're fucked forever, harms the message too. Because what happens is the material aimed at stopping kids says one thing, but the cool kids behind the bleachers who actually do drugs tell you that no, you don't immediately become an addicted burnout. And you can see that they appear to be fine. So kids have perfect evidence that all this stuff is BS, and that along with your usual child/teenager desire to rebel coupled with the most basic bit of human psychology being that the best way to get someone to do something is to tell them not to, and it all combines to make it appear that doing drugs is absolutely a thing that's fine. If the people behind the war on drugs in the 90s actually wanted to lessen the number of kids using drugs, they'd actually have a genuine, honest talk with children and teenagers explaining about how drugs are harmful, about how they effect you, they wouldn't downplay the good parts (hey, there's a reason people take cocaine and meth) but they also would explain why in the long run it's harmful. Treat kids like inexperienced adults worthy of respect instead of just dumb kids who you have to talk down to, and the whole thing would have been way more successful.
I absolutely Love how much effort you put into your research, finding and crediting the right sources, as well as any related information as to background and timelines. Really makes the whole thing richer.
At a time when Ducktales was huge, I wouldn't say that Huey, Dewey, and Louie were the poor relation to Mickey, Goofy, and Donald. The Ducktales boys were actually more popular then. As a kid I only knew of some old cartoons starring the older three. They didn't have a current show on TV around 1990 and their cartoons weren't being rerun like Looney Tunes were, so I didn't care about them. Then I warmed up to Goofy when "Goof Troop" came out.
Exactly, it's pretty obvious Disney wanted to include their franchises that were actively on television at the time - and there was still a New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh animated series running at the time that was extremely popular with young children, so of course he made it in.
Rebochan And now that I think of it, it was probably easier to animate characters with model sheets readily available rather than needing to design new ones. Not that I'm an animation expert, but everyone appears to be mostly on-model in this cartoon, which would be easier if they had something to go on
Good point-people only knew about Donald as the uncle to the trio (and I recall he wasn't in most of the episodes). I only knew him because I watched the old cartoons alongside Ducktales.
I think that ending with all your cartoon characters showing up is right up there with your parody recreation of "Birdemic", your intro to the first Resident Evil movie, the introduction to Old Man, etc. as your funniest and most creative moments.
I think having all of those characters at the end endorsing an anti-drug message would actually work because you would just flat-out stop using drugs to make them leave. Also Happy 10 Year Anniversary! I can't wait for more reviews!
I always rewatch this one when I’m having a really bad time with depression/suicidal feels. It always makes me smile even during the worst of it. Also, LOVE the ending with all the Goodtimes and Bevanfield (sp?) cartoons coming to life to torment poor Phelous! It’s definitely worth sticking around after the credits, guys. 😄😆
Congrats on 10 years Phelous Also considering Marijuana is legal in most places now. I wonder if they would use another drug like meth if this was made today.
The C.O.P.S. cartoon did a better anti-drugs episode. If Slimer is based on John Belushi, who did plenty of cocaine in his time, I guess it is appropriate for his ghost be in an anti-drug TV special.
In before someone says "Doug did it first". He also did it in 2008... TEN GODDAMN YEARS AGO! Things have changed since then (#changethechannel). Also, given the runtime, chances are Phelous will be more in depth and competent.
I actually think this is better than Doug's. Grant, part of it comes from Doug being new while this is after 10 years of experience for Phelan, but still....
Paul Majano Tareltonlives hence competency. Though I would argue that even after ten years, Doug isn't even that funny. Part of which comes from his lack of actual wit. I think that's why Lindsay resonates so well nowadays. She knows film theory. She's worked on sets. She knows what she's talking about. Doug portends to be a film maker, but comes off as amateurish because he doesn't actually know what he's doing.
These are the reasons why Mickey has struggled to maintain relevance. You can hold back your A-Material, but if you never play your Ace it might as well be a dead card.
The funny thing is you aren't alone. I've heard of countries where Donald is huge or where Goofy was huge... Yet I haven't heard of a single country that preferred Mickey Mouse. Heck Donald Duck is currently in two TV shows still being made (Main character in one, side character in another)
I recently went through and watched all your cartoon reviews that had subtitles on. Not only are they really helpful (not many people think to put them on, and auto are useless) but they're hilarious. Thank you for ten years of Phawesome!
I used to own this special on VHS. I think the Polish version is also somewhat worth talking about. First off, we had to wait EIGHT YEARS for that special to come out in Poland. It was shown on TV on June 14, 1998 and released on VHS around the same time. (On a side note, we didn't get the 80's Alvin & the Chipmunks until 1995 and even then, all we got were the first 26 episodes produced by DiC. Similar thing with Garfield & Friends - we didn't get that until 1997. Oh, and you can FORGET about the Real Ghostbusters being even a thing in Poland. All we got from that cartoon was ONE SINGLE VHS RELEASE. PERIOD. Same thing with Darkwing Duck now that I think about it. Darkwing was pulled from the Polish airwaves after just 7 episodes because apparently it was too brutal for kids. I'm serious. There's also a second Polish dub of Darkwing that was made in the 2000s but Disney STILL hasn't bothered to show it anywhere.) Also, the Polish title of the special is completely different, it's called "The Mystery of the Missing Piggy Bank". ...I mean... okay, I guess... Oh, and we didn't have any intro done by any Polish political figure in this special (at least not on VHS, same thing could apply to TV but I have no evidence). The last thing worth pointing out is the fact that the voice-over that usually reads every dub actor's name out loud during the credits (which, yes, is a thing in non-English-speaking countries) also mentions a few actors that didn't record a single line in that special, like for example Robert Rozmus who was the then-current Polish voice of Bugs Bunny until 2010, but in the special, Bugs' lines were recorded by Krzysztof Tyniec who voiced Bugs before Rozmus. Last minute changes in the cast perhaps?
I remember seeing this on TV back in the day! Wow, it still kind of blows my mind to see and hear all the cartoon characters hanging out together other than in Who Framed Roger Rabbit! I don’t think anyone has done anything like this since the 90s. It was such a different time... Phelous, you are awesome, and your reviews are not only informative but fun and hilarious too! Thank you for all your hard work!
Actually, if the special was seen in different countries, that could explain why no Mikey on the cover. You know, the whole Ninja/Hero Turtles thing in the UK...
Apparently changing the name was because the British government of the time was worried that kids would’ve seen ‘ninja’ and end up putting each others’ eyes out with nunchuks.
What about if they could only have added new characters for a 90's version...add Johnny Bravo, Courage the cowardly dog, some Nick Toons characters, ect characters for even Harder drugs and street gangs! That would be Awesome!
10 years later and you're not only still entertaining, but are actually improving. That's quite outstanding. You and Allison are probably the only two people TGWTG introduced me to that I can say this about (I knew of Brad previously, so I'm not counting him). You have a skill of being entertaining regardless of the type of content you're reviewing (although goofy 70's to early 90's horror will always be my favorite). It baffles me that you have less subscribers than the people who were funny once upon a time and haven't made anyone laugh since 2012. Hope you will continue to entertain us with new content in the future. Too bad those Russian unlicensed TMNT crossover books you've had behind you in a few episodes would probably be too much to translate and/or review. I remember those being quite weird and wholly inappropriate for children due to the R-rated movies they crossovered with.
I know this is late, but happy tenth anniversary Phelan! I've only been watching you for about half that time, but your videos have always been there for me during some really dark times and they always put a smile on my face. Keep up the amazing work!

Now 10 Years Later, we have a McDonalds PSA.
Welp, Happy 10th Anniversary Phelous!
Bush Senior: Don't do drugs or you'll end up like my son.
Rando: Which one?
George: The problem with the French is that they don't have a word for 'entrepreneur'
Bush Senior: Don't make me say it.
Jeb is a guacamole addict, part of why he lost to the cheeto man.
Sorry daddy Bush.
Well no I'm not sorry.
It's always nice to see Phelous covering something Nostalgia Critic did years ago and came off a lot more informative and crazier than Doug Walker will ever be. Congratulations on your 10th anniversary!
manat31790 not fair that was literally ncs first review ever
That's not to discredit Nostalgia Critic. I like Doug Walker a lot especially in his early days before he did the skits (In fact, I think Doug's Cartoon All Stars is one of the best of his reviews). I'm just saying that Phelan has always been better at adding information that Doug tends to skim over. See his Food Fight review with Alison and Brad, for example.
And the crazy bit is just a comedy preference. I've come to like Phelan's deadpan/airhead things better than whatever NC is doing nowadays. It's just personal thing, so please don't mind me.
u still like nc despite all that went on i still watch too just how now and then hear how others feel
He is also nowhere as innovative or critical as other reviewers.
yeah that's also why Phelous's reviews tend to be longer than the movies he's reviewing. But that's cool
the ending was brilliant
and now i want a phelous version of cartoon all stars to the rescue. phelous all stars to the rescue.
That would be amazing!
like cartoon all stars, but the characters are replaced with phelous characters such as those from dingo, goodtimes, bevanfield, etc
i mean the ones that appear FROM dingo, goodtimes, bevanfield, etc

Happy ten anniversary!!🎉🎊
I can't believe it's been 10 years already, it looks like it was yesterday when I first watched a Phelous video.
I love that as kids Kermit, Gonzo and Ms Piggy are anti-weed, while as adults they’re perfectly fine with Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, who canonically smoke marijuana. ‘They’re always happy!’ ‘Yeah…legally now!’
The Muppet's learned a thing or two as they age ;)
Kinda undermines the message when "smurfing" sounds like a euphemism for doing drugs
Nom du Clavier IIRC it actually is a word for making meth.
What the smurf do you smurf?
I fully endorse Tigger leading the Maximals.
Leading the Maximals is what Tiggers do best!
Winnie the Pooh: lets fight the Predacons, I think?.
Tigger:TIGGER!! MAXIMIZE!!!
Rabbit: RABBIT!!! MAXIMIZE!!!
Eeyore: EEYORE!! MAXIMIZE!!!
Piglet: ohh de de de dear um PIGLET!!! MAXIMIZE!!!
Owl: OWL MAXIMIZE!!!
Winnie the Pooh: POOH BEAR MAXIMIZE!!!

Let's face it Wabuu would sell you drugs not tell you to say no.
“The kids who buy from me are sooooooo stuuuupeeeed.”
He honestly would
That's a weird way to spell "breakfast is ruined".
Hell yeah he would.
"Am I sold my stash to STUPID WUSCHEL!!!"
I met him at Louisiana Comic-Con in Lafayette in 2022 alongside Bill Farmer, Judith Hogg and Cal Dodd, they were all nice
Eddy: "Hey! What bout us?"
Edd: "Well, Eddy. Our show didn't exist to at least 1999. And besides, this entire thing is a mess!"
Eddy: "Ehh...good point. The people who made it must've been on something anyways..."
Doofenshmirtz: "You know, if the cartoon I'm from actually was being produced in 1992 when the idea came around, I might've actually made it in this movie."
Ferb: "Except that we'd be two years off."
Mordecai: “Yeah, I don’t think anyone from our show would make good representatives for this special.”
Finn: “Same here.”
Uncle Grandpa: “Ditto.”
jamie fernekees Tinky Winky from Teletubbies: Drugs bad, uh oh.
Filburt: Do cocine, wash your hands, do cocine, wash your hands, do cocine, wash your hands.
jamie fernekees lol!
80s.
Tommy, it was the 80's not the 90's, mate
True, but I think only Slimer appeared because they wanted to use characters that appealed to younger kids, and Slimer appealed to that demographic.
Hmmm 🤔 yeah I guess they messed up by not explaining what drugs are and how to avoid them😅
Yeah. Like no one is just going to say “Hey? Want some DRUGS?”. They’re going to specify what drugs.
Phelps and the Movies started with Mac and Me, a McDonalds product placement movie. And now ten years later, it seems extra-fitting to cover another one!
Get back in there, Phelps!
Lol "Phelps"
Mr Shambleface Auto correct is a bitch ain't it?
Oh god... Well I’m not changin’ it!
Old Man: "Phelous hasn't been funny since Mac and Me! He's completely useless now..."
Here in Germany the intro featured a conservative politician (Hans-Dietrich Genscher) saying something like:
"Kids, remember, in the real world your cartoon friends cannot help you!
Cartoon All Stars would have been perfect if it had talking musical instruments. That’s the only thing holding it back from being a true masterpiece.
Stephen Brown
Don't forget the comic relief cat 😉
And then Mike would grow wings and fly off to the sun
Stephen Brown and stupid annoying bats.
Plus they would have to go up and down stairs. That's important.
I remember a cop came to my school and showed us all this, at least 50% of the kids who were in that class now smoke weed so it worked real good.
I they want to smoke because so that they have that smoke guy to be with them.
I won't deny, as a kid, I totally sucked up the "drugs are totally evil" message....... and it..... did not really leave my head, even at the age of 30!
That's indoctrination for ya. (=_=)
I’m kinda like that too, although, outside of marijuana, I don’t associate drugs like cocaine, heroin, meth, etc. with anyone or anything good. I don’t do marijuana either, I’m just far more open to the kind of people that do it.
good intentions and being right doesn't mean that you told it well
I used to think like that, but then I got high when I was 18 and I realized how much bullshit had been spewed to keep people from smoking it. Racist rhetoric or scare tactics, that shit will make you wary of anything trying to claim to know what's good for you.
Same-I've become comfortable with other people's use of drugs, but I think my mind is already fucked up enough (even with liquor I'm a lightweight).
This is like the prequel to Ready Player One with all the references and characters!

-ah, who am I kidding, that prick doesn’t deserve fairness.
Congrats on a great 10 years! Now in Phelous tradition you must review every single animated drug PSA in existence! (not really)
I vaguely remember seeing an animated D.A.R.E. special in elementary. Other than that...

Amazing when they have old Mickey comics of him trying to kill himself.

10 years and going strong! Your reviews have stuck with me during harsh times and I'm very grateful. Ty for your hard work, and here's for 10 years more!
"Because he uses drugs he's also a thief" I don't think Phelous knows how addiction works. Drugs dont pay themselves.
Congrats on 10 Years! I remember watching this when I was 16 when finding it online and now this is the movie that is sent to friends on what I'm like.
Awesome finish! That had to take forever, but had me rolling!
The irony of this anti-drug message, the people who wrote this was likely _on_ drugs.

@jbiehlable huh?
Sachi you was on drugs
Ironic
It's surreal that this happened before nicktoons existed. No Ren & Stimpy, Hey Arnold, Spongebob or Rugrats were born in this strange pre-90s period of history.
Phelous is the best. Nostalgia Critic review totally blew through this special. I had no idea how much more there was to joke about. Few minutes in and there is a Garfield reference to catnip is better then Doug’s whole episode. That’s only one of many jokes.
To be fair, it was one of the Critic's very first episodes, I wouldn't expect A+ material in the first run.
imthinkinwacky I didn’t expect anything because I’ve never seen a traditional NC review until that one.
And UA-cam videos had a time limit in 2008.
Having Huey, Dewey, and Louie in it makes perfect sense, as Ducktales was still riding high in popularity.
That might be the funniest ending you've done, Phelous. :)
SamtheBravesFan The only thing wrong (IMO) would be not including Mr. Hyde from the Australian cartoon. He could have been Smoke's equivalent as... Mr Poof !!

Happy anniversary Phelous and the Movies
Your review is better than The Nostalgia Critic's. Its longer, more informative with The Trivia, and even funnier
yeah because comparing the critcs like 5th critic episode vs phelous ten year anniversary is fair and not ignoring a massive gap of experience.
@@alienonlsd3209 its a fair assessment and I stand by it. Even quite a bit of The Critic's own earlier work beats his review of CARTOON ALL STARS TO THE RESCUE.

Love the ending with your own "Cartoon All-Stars"...but major missed opportunity not including the Jetlag!version of Alice [given Alice in Wonderland is often associated with drugs]
well, anything goes in wonderland.
'Old Snowden's got the cure for all this'
You missed an opportunity to say 'It's Snow!'
DEADLY snow!
But how can Informer fix this?!

Congrats on 10 Years!
Wait, why does Simon know what weed smells like?
Well he _is_ part of a musical act. Maybe he and his brothers have performed at places where smoking was allowed
Frizzurd 60s Simon or Movie Simon or the Nick series one?
Why else would you think Dave Seville hasn't kicked out the chipmunks yet?
BEHIND THE BLOW: Dave went on a slippery and dark path after his adopted children shot through the scale of popularity.
@FrizzurdI smell "Into the Chipmunk-Verse"!
I only knew him because I watched the old cartoons alongside Ducktales.
really, the ones that are outdated here are the warner bros. characters, as merry melodies had already ended long ago and only existed in syndication.
1989.
Just imagine Arthur, the Simpsons, my little pony, Steven universe, tmnt 2012, and star vs the forces of evil.
Here's to 10 more years, Phelan.
Steven Maiorana cute puppy
I kind of wish they could have gotten the Transformers for this cartoon. Optimus would have set this kid straight.
omg... starscream selling drugs... that's it, that's the pitch!
Considering bumblebee, Seaspray, Tracks, Red alert, and Powerglide all starred in PSAs pretty big missed opportunity having no transformers in there
🎆Happy 10th anniversary, Phelous🎆
Congrats on ten years! From a proud Phelous fan/phan :D
This is the most extensive look at this special that anyone has ever done. Even more than "he who must not be named."
Yet another reason why I like Phelous.
wstine79 To fair that was like one of his first reviews ever
wstine79 Doug Walker
I think that ending with all your cartoon characters showing up is right up there with your parody recreation of "Birdemic", your intro to the first Resident Evil movie, the introduction to Old Man, etc. as your funniest and most creative moments.
Happy 10th anniversary, Phelan!

Glad this video helps cheer you up, hope you don't feel that down too often though.
How are you doing now? I hope you're alright!
Congrats on 10 years! :D I've enjoy every review you do!
Congrats on 10 years Phelous
Also considering Marijuana is legal in most places now.
Michael Kuzmanovski maybe it’s his penance in the afterlife
No! We don't want Wired The Animated Series.
We need a remake of this special now in 2019 considering all the remakes Disney do.
It would end up being live action all stars to the rescue, but with CG versions of the animal characters and smoke. lol
@@graceamodeo1587 I know, a crossover like this won’t ever happen again.
Allegedly they thought about it with George C Scott returning as the villain but.. He's dead so rip.
In before someone says "Doug did it first".
He also did it in 2008... TEN GODDAMN YEARS AGO! Things have changed since then (#changethechannel). Also, given the runtime, chances are Phelous will be more in depth and competent.
noobmaster117 yes yes he was
noobmaster117 total buzz kill
noobmaster117 also Phelous IS ACTUALLY FUNNY!!! unlike Balding Doug funny
I love Phelous' list of Villians: Shredder, Gargamel and Dave Sevil! 😂😂
Not sure who’s more evil: Samhain or Coulier.
Heck Donald Duck is currently in two TV shows still being made (Main character in one, side character in another)
I liked Mickey in House of Mouse... Albeit that was the last show he was in I really liked.
Well, he doesn't have much of a character. He's a reactionary to the stuff going on around.
I recently went through and watched all your cartoon reviews that had subtitles on. Not only are they really helpful (not many people think to put them on, and auto are useless) but they're hilarious. Thank you for ten years of Phawesome!
Thank you Phelous for giving the world the gift that is "Drug Interrupting Bear". I will cherish it always, also happy 10 years!
Now we have a movie to look forward too which should be called "Cocaine Interrupting Bear"
I wish a crossover like this could happen today without needing a message to present as the focus.
Happy 10th anniversary! My only regret is that I didn't know of you back in 2008. But here's to many more years! We'll always be here to support you.
There's also a second Polish dub of Darkwing that was made in the 2000s but Disney STILL hasn't bothered to show it anywhere.)
Also, the Polish title of the special is completely different, it's called "The Mystery of the Missing Piggy Bank".
...I mean... okay, I guess...
Avengers Infinity War has nothing on this!
"Bugs Bunny, i don't feel so good"
Smash Bros probably has
I like it more than Infinity War
I remember seeing this on TV back in the day! Wow, it still kind of blows my mind to see and hear all the cartoon characters hanging out together other than in Who Framed Roger Rabbit! I don’t think anyone has done anything like this since the 90s. It was such a different time...
Phelous, you are awesome, and your reviews are not only informative but fun and hilarious too! Thank you for all your hard work!
Cartoon Network used to do that sort of thing before it became All TTG All the Time.
Actually, if the special was seen in different countries, that could explain why no Mikey on the cover. You know, the whole Ninja/Hero Turtles thing in the UK...
James Fabiano Oh yeah...
That ruined the theme song
Gracekim1 As a Brit I apologise for that....
Apparently changing the name was because the British government of the time was worried that kids would’ve seen ‘ninja’ and end up putting each others’ eyes out with nunchuks.
That ending skit was the perfect cap to the past 10 years! Happy anniversary, Phelous!
If you do Drugs, you'll end up in a Dingo Cartoon. Best way to stay sober, great review!
Edit; You had me do a double take on that ending! Whew.
That ending, though. It's as if all those cartoon reviews you've done were leading up to that moment!
YAY! Congrats on 10 years!
What about if they could only have added new characters for a 90's version...add Johnny Bravo, Courage the cowardly dog, some Nick Toons characters, ect characters for even Harder drugs and street gangs! That would be Awesome!
All I've learned from this special is that taking drugs is the best way to meet all of your cartoon heroes.
I remember this. cartoon Alf is just as disturbing today.
