I regret leaving home long time ago..my father and grandma escorted us when leaving for kitale. The moment when the vehicle started moving i was about to faint since i really loved them. After ten years away i came back but unfortunately to bury my father. So sad indeed. This song reminds me those good days
This takes me back in primary school, when we could drop leaves at particular junctions to let our friends know that we are already back to school from lunch at home
The song was released in 1994 or thereabouts. Ulinzi Ochestra as known then, was a resident band at Uncle Sams Githurai 44. Live performances then were at their peak. On the vocals was Laban Ochuka, Juvenalis Otukia and Ali Choki. Then on Keyboards was Ken Makhoha, famous presenter for the " Forces Requests" ukipenda salamu za majeshi English version.
Was one of the loved songs in the 1990s by those men who travelled to work and come back weekly or end month since there were limited telephone conversations this song served as a dedication to their spouses and most of these wifes were very faithful to their spouses
I'm here..loving this song and can't get it off my mind. Funny how I had to grow up to understand the meaning of the song! Wonderful memories..great composition..full of wisdom.
I know this isn't my age song but whenever I listen to this song I learn alot especially now that am in a long distance relationship it really encourages me so so much more so on how to maintain faithfulness in a relationship
African way of expressing love towards your partner and show of confidence. Maintaining your family matters most ,not even a distance can kill relationships .
Umengoga ndipo. Was there those days in 90s. When Uncle Sams 44 was the place to be. Mwalimu Wines,Lilolu supermarkets. Ken Makhoha on Keyboards, Juveniles Otukia, Ali Choki, Ochuka himself and the entire Ulinzi Ochestra crew.
I remember those early 90s when kbc was covering the whole Uganda and every one was listening kbc mostly when Charles omuga kabisae is in the studio we could go looking for our animals in the swamps while enjoying such songs long live kbc 🇺🇬🇺🇬.
I first heard of this in oct 1999. I remember tulikuwa matanga ya baba ya Mwalimu wetu wa ACM Mr. Samuel Amwata aka PARTICULAR. Tabaka boys primary, GUCHA SOUTH.
Laban Ochuka was a master composer and together with Abel Kifoto and other members of the Maroon Commandos band produced classics that will last forever. When you pass Esirembela-Emunichia his village do not go away without giving something to his family for the great memories he left us, especially the song 'Abasili Mwoyo Muhulile khu Kano', which was also a great hit.
Laban ochuka hulalamika kwa usaliti wa wake zetu na kutosimama imara kuzingatià ahadi na agano tufanyazo nao.Laban could have sang long ago, lakini wimbo huu una maana zaidi.
