As with any AI product that grabs data you provide, I assume the model sends that data to some server online. If you happen to be copying data on the screen with things like your financial information or passwords (because I knew a lot of people would think to do something with that too), this information could be sent to and possible saved on a remote server. I would need to look at their software to find more, just a general word of caution.
@@KevinStratvert Thank you for posting this. With this in mind, please note the Legal Information link and Data Storage link on their own privacy page are not loading the said pages. The company UI Path was also part of a data breach in December of 2020 which leaked 600,000 users' information including "name, email address, username, company name, country, and UiPath certification details".
This function already exists in Excel > Data > From Picture > Picture from Clipboard and since I've already given Microsoft authorization to access my data, I don't transmit data through a 3rd party server (where it's definitely being stored and used to train the model)
A Chrome extension called Automa can do the same thing, a little bit complex but they have complete video guides. And what's the best, it's totally free
This is a definite no-no for me, but thanks for sharing it anyway, Kevin. Right from the start, as soon as you said it asked for your email, I thought uh-oh. However, my main concern would be the type of private information being "transferred", and the safety of it. I think I'll just stick with copy/paste for now, although we all know that there's nothing safe or private online anymore.
Didn't really work. I first tried copying a table of transactions (date, merchant, amount) from a Chase bank statement in PDF. Tried to copy to a simple test Excel worksheet with those same column names. Said it couldn't complete the task and had a big red "Retry" button. Tried multiple times, didn't work. Then I tried copying a short table in an Outlook email (date, instructor, time). It only pasted a date, instructor from higher up in the email text. Couldn't get Clipboard AI to "see" the table in the email. So far, 0 for 2. So I uninstalled it.
This is really cool. Now I work wirh customers who place a high value on data privacy. Question is dies this product collect any data. Or is it strictly a clipboard ai product?
This is a good tech but also concerned about the data breach as well. Having said that there's a lot of use cases for this tool - time saver !! Thanks Kevin!
Dude, I just found your channel and I love it. I don't know how this video will help me personally but your way of teaching is easy to follow. I will peruse your other content and I know I will find something to improve my life.
Thanks for the video - I was so excited to try this, but it didn't work for my scenario. Client sent me a PDF with a column of dates and amounts that I wanted to move into excel. The product only pasted in a random subset of the amounts. Not what I was dreaming of. Bummer!
Memo: I’ve retired the following phrases and you are to comply with my directive. Game-changer is now next-level. Reaching-out is simply contact/ing. Love is love.
Outstanding performance once more, Kevin! Your brilliance shines brightly. Could we explore an automated solution for populating Excel with, say, 100 invoices, streamlining the process to just a few clicks rather than a hundred separate data entries?"
Excellent. Amazing how AI will be tranforming the way we work. Thanks for your tutorial !!! I agree with the other comments below. Data is critical and breach of data is a serious issue.
Kevin, this was really good stuff. However, this does beg the question, given that this is free software, what's their angle? Are they harvesting the data you process with this tool for some purpose? Are they using it to train an AI independent of your use cases? I have huge privacy concerns that I think everyone needs to be cognizant of as cloud-based tools become more ubiquitous and SaaS replaces the conventional software and application's most people are accustomed to using.
Great. Is there a program that can scrape, sort, organize county sheriff sale data ? I would want defendant, property address, auction item number, amount, etc. Any ideas?
Hello Kevin, I have been looking for a way to "copy and paste" text to the "Text to Speech" feature in Clipchamp. Would this app achieve this? If not do you know any other way? Thank you.
UiPath makes money by selling RPA (robotic process automation) solutions to enterprises. You can see some of their products here: www.uipath.com This is one of their first direct to end-user offerings and gets more people introduced to their products and their ecosystem. For example, if you can automate some tasks with this tool, perhaps your organization will evaluate automating more processes with RPA at scale.
Thanks, Kevin, it looks like a great app. But, as complete as the app is, why doesn’t it allow you to paste all invoices to allow submission with one click or combination of clicks? Or would it be simpler just to create an old fashioned macro?

@@kclubbimo, if a company can't link pages correctly, there is 0 chance they can keep the data they get secure
This is very concerning. Very good point. If something is free, you and your data is a price. Always 👍🏻
Eagle eyes ! Good point!!

yeah except the excel functionality kinda sucks, and it can't paste in 3rd party apps, webforms, etc
What a win. That is amazing.
BTW, your delivery is excellent Kevin.
Thanks a lot Kevin for this tutorial, so useful as usual. Your tutorials are the ones I don't miss. Please do more.
Definitely next-level; removing keyboarding errors from manual drudge. Excellent.
Love those "fresh baked" cookies at 0:35 🤣
Thank you very much Kevin for introducing it. It is very helpful.
Wow! This is an incredibly useful tool. No more trigger finger from copy and paste.
A Chrome extension called Automa can do the same thing, a little bit complex but they have complete video guides. And what's the best, it's totally free
You can bet Google will be selling at least some of your info to pay for it indirectly.
Seems great, Kevin, but what about data privacy? How safe is it for business use cases?
Absolutely not. Despite what anyone claims these tools use this data to train models and may store the dataset for future use.

Pretty cool! Im always writing stuff and making handwriting edits. This would be a great tool
I bought UiPath a few days ago and now is 10% up.

Getting hot cookies out of the oven with bare hands is something even AI wouldn’t do
Very useful video for public interest. Thank you. 💝

Fantastic, absolutely. Thanks Kevin.
cool and practical usage. accuracy and security would raise some concerns.
