The connector piece is easy to get a tight fit if your D ring or decorative connector is large. See 1 side of the tab to the connector piece, sew both sides of the connector together, turn inside out, slide your D ring on tab and feed tab down the top opening making the fit as tight as you want, top stitch. I usually double stitch. Or you can sandwich the tab between the connect pieces leaving the edges raw. That method creates less bulk. I’ve done it both methods.
On the back side tabs, with the 2 D rings. there’s a method by Rogue Stitches Horizon Sling I’d like to try. I’ve seen people have trouble with webbing pulling out of the seam. Or Ora Rosa has a new sling that she rivets the stap down. Both pattern methods are on my to do list.
I’m a frequent Disney visitor. If you stay in a large resort, we found once the bus is full, it leaves. So if your near the end of the loop, your frequently waiting for a bus. We learned to walk to the main area and catch a bus from there. I’m not a camper but my sister is. They have a large camper/toy box and discovered many camp grounds can’t accommodate their camper or have just a few spots. You might want to make sure Ft Wilderness can accommodate your camper. They do seem quite large spots and are quite beautiful.

Thanks for all the great tips!!
We did book a spot at Ft wilderness that can accommodate our length of the bus but now sure if it will also accommodate our truck. It would be nice if it could but I know they have a parking lot so we might just have to unhitch in the lot and then park the bus separate in the space we rented.

Did you make up your design for the appliqué on the front?
What kind of machine are you using?
I do not have an industrial machine, so I’m curious if this type of fabric and layers can be done on a domestic. I’m hoping you are using a domestic lol

Lot of great information.. thank you very much!
What settings did you use for cutting it out on your Cricut?

I know I used the strong grip mat, and I use the normal cut depth blade. I feel like I set it to “shimmer leather” with double cut pass. It’s been a while though so I may be misremembering :)

I used my domestic huskvarna Viking machine to do all the appliqué work on these pieces. Yes, I created this appliqué from scratch by first drawing it all out digitally, then converting it to svgs. I used mg circuit to cut the appliqué out of vinyl and used my machine, slowly stitching it all on and hand cranking to deal with the tight angles and small pieces.
I am using my Elna Ef1 here to assemble the final bag. You could easily do this on a domestic machine but with the thicker materials I was using here, I preferred to go with the Ef1 so I would use my thicker threads.
You do not need an industrial machine for anything I’ve shown here :)

The tape lights came from Walmart, they come in a 2 pack. I bought them in store. And the bag pattern is the Linds handmade designs Mav pack, and I will like that for you here. lindshandmade.com/collections/pdf-patterns/products/ma-pack-pdf-sewing-pattern-includes-svgs-and-a0-file

    Hi
I see you are using the
    Elnita efi sewing machine
    An absolutely beautiful machine.
I had watched your video on it and you weren't very happy with the thread cutter.
I noticed in this video that you are not using the thread cutter.....
So I guess you didn't figure out why it wasn't working very well
I am seriously considering buying this sewing machine.
Do you still give it an all together 4.5 stars ?
    Thank you ☺️

Correct. I never did figure out what its deal was with the thread cutter. Sometimes it’s happy, other times it causes a bit of the thread to shred and I end up having to clip the top thread and redo it or pull a bit through and clip. It’s not a huge deal but a minor annoyance.
It could also be that I got some thread caught in there and it’s still stuck. I’ve never actually checked.
Because my domestic doesn’t have a thread cutter, I’m used to not using it all the time so I just skip and use my snips (what I’m used to).
I suspect my issue that is that I am using TEX 45 thread, which is thicker than normal sew all thread. While the machine sounds and stitches WONDERFULLY with that thicker thread, I think the thread cutter doesn’t love it.
Over a year into owning this beauty and I don’t regret it for a second. It sews magnificently and out performed a room full of more expensive machines in its same class at a set of classes I attended 😬 so… I know I made the right choice. I can’t recommend this machine enough. I’d do it all over again!

Thank you so very much for getting back to me.
I am very much leaning towards buying this machine 😊
After doing many hours of research.... This is the one I am choosing.
Can you suggest a dealer or where did you purchase yours if I may ask .
      Also .....
Have you needed to have your machine serviced?
Is this a machine that should be serviced periodically?
I'm just trying to get all of my information before I make this big purchase.
Also, did you purchase the extension table for it and different kinds of feet for it
Thank you so very much I surely appreciate it 😍

Hi! I have a question: What printer do you have that you can make a pattern at 130%. My printer won’t do it. Thanks!

    • @EmporiumThreads
      @EmporiumThreads  8 місяців тому

I have a couple of different printers but in this case, I made myself an acrylic template at 130%. I just redesigned a file and upsized, so that won’t work for a printer. However, there was some really helpful people in the Lind’s Handmade group who have helped others with upsizing. I remember them posting things about “poster settings”? But I am not 100% sure what exactly they decided on to upsize properly. That is a great group for resources/help, if you can I would search there and it will likely answer this better than me :)

This is amazing. Is there a video for creating the front panel for this?

    • @EmporiumThreads
      @EmporiumThreads  Рік тому +1

No there isn’t. I did shoot some footage of my sewing all the appliqué on but it was just for fb reel purposes. I haven’t done anything with it yet :)
Maybe I should do a video on appliqué, just not such a complicated one. This took me over 8 hours to puzzle and sew the front together. No one has time for that! 😂

@EmporiumThreads is there a particular light you used for this bag? Also, did you use a particular design for your applique?
