How do you think BSU prepared differently for Oregon and for the second game against UNLV that made them play better. I really felt like the Oregon game, Boise came out like superstars compared to the Georgia southern game the week before, what do you guys think they focused on and how did they hype themselves up to litterally be a totally different team in week 2 than in week 1? This Boise state team is just one of those teams that consistently plays to the level of their opponent, it's seemed like they always were ready to go against the tough matchups all year no matter how weak they looked the previous week
Saying IU sucks is like saying if Oregon wins put next year they suck because they play the bottom half. This is what you get with a "super conference" eventually youll only play the bottom half

I think BSU needs to come out fast and strong. I think we go deep (with completion) on play 1 or 2. We need to get Mad Dog into the game quickly. Short quick passes, a few long, and of course, get Ash opportunities
Football games in playoffs are either amazing or lopsided. It doesn’t seem to matter if it is high school playoffs, NFL or CFP. Momentum is crazy important but once you get rolling it is hard to comeback. If SMU had been able to not make the picks early on they would have believed they were in it. @@itskeaton7249Michigan only branched away from PSU during the cheating years. Other than that they’ve largely been worse than PSU. Obviously ignoring years crippled by sanctions
I'll keep saying it. PSU is 31-1 in games they've been favored since 2022. The 1 loss was against Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl when there were 8 starters who had undisclosed opt-outs. The national media created this narrative that, "PSU can't win big games." This idea that only BSU will have a chip on its shoulder is fool's gold. PSU is constantly disrespected as a B1G second-class citizen and Sandusky jokes. What the national media leaves out is that they haven't closed the deal against Oregon, OSU, and Michigan when they're ranked in the top 5. Like SMU, BSU is not ranked in the top 5. Like SMU, BSU is not favored to win either. See: See the PAC-12 champions Utah Utes in the 2022 Rose Bowl who were also overly confident and got smoked in 3 quarters. Yes, we have something to prove too.
Good input. Would also add that I’m not sure Boise State’s team is over confident. I do think they will give PSU a much better game than SMU did. We’re homer fans, but yeah, I give us a shot to win. I will say this, no one in Boise is selling travel packages to the Orange bowl yet the way they are over in Pennsylvania. So there’s at least SOME overconfidence there. I get it tho, we’re just a little MW school in Idaho with a blue field. Hard to not be confident if you’re a team like Penn State. Looking forward to a great game.
@@MarkMoss-ql3wx I don't think the BSU team is overconfident. It sounds like both coaches and players are realistic. It's just that as a PSU fan when it's Ohio State or Oregon week, we approach it like it's a mountain to climb. The entire discussion is around, "What has to happen for PSU to win the game?" Even when we say, "We think OSU has a hole in their Oline that can be exploited," we still hedge on our confidence. There's a difference between saying, "I'm confident in my team and think we can win" versus "The other team isn't as good as advertised and we can beat them." That's where I'm saying objectively speaking, the paths for BSU to win are significantly fewer than PSU. The problem with the Oregon game is that PSU has that film and has been studying it for weeks so transitive property may not work.
I definitely think the game will be closer than PSU/SMU. At times PSU can struggle against the run. But they'll give up 85 total points in the second half all season. They figure things out. Plus they have their own running game that causes problems. Personal i think Singleton is the best back in this game. He averages 6.4 a carry. Does it against far better competition. But he shares the load so his numbers arent eye popping. And Allar has shown he can sling it. Penn State can be just as dangerous on offense as Oregon or Ohio State. They just aren't Consistent. And let's not forget. Oregon put up 37 on BS in week 2. Close game first half. PSU blows them out in the second. Going to be like 45-20.
@@Pcbdude82 I think the first half will be closer than SMU because PSU is a team that prefers to crockpot than microwave opponents. They'll literally spend the entire first quarter feeling out the opponent on both sides of the ball, then ramp it under in the 2nd quarter, adjust at halftime, and play elite in the 3rd quarter. PSU will default to whatever style they think is best for the game which is why we saw the passing explosion against USC and Oregon. The thing that's not being discussed enough is that in the Oregon game, Madsen was 17/40 for 148 yards, 1 TD, and 7 yards rushing. PSU struggles with mobile QBs who can throw on the run. And Oregon had 3 fumbles and lost 2. BSU was +2 on the turnover battle, Jeanty ran for 3 TDs on 200 all-purpose yards, but the QB passed for 43% completion with a 3.7 average. So the lesson learned from the Oregon game to me isn't that BSU can hang with PSU. It's that PSU can't turn the ball over twice, hold Jeanty to 125 yards and two rushing TDs, and make Madsen win the game.
They didn't give my Nittany Lions anything, our elite defense put the heat 😤 on their asses, and Boise St is about to find out!!!! WE ARE 🏈 Unrivaled 38-13

I don’t think we’ll be shocked. I think PSU is very good, and clearly are the favorite. I do think we’ll put up a good fight and have a chance to win this game. We have to play very well to win this game, no doubt
Noones complaining or saying they’re equal. But the narrative that a team plays some murderous schedule just cuz they’re in the Big 10 is a joke. Indiana beat 1 team with a winning record all season and made the playoff. Penn State to a lesser extent benefitted from an unbalanced schedule. It’s more ragging on the super conferences and the narrative than your team. Penn state is very good no doubt, and is favored for a reason. Gonna be a tough game for sure
Listening to you guys is more than painful. Listening to talk about Bosie like you could compete at the top is so laughable. If you were in the Big Ten or SEC you would be in the bottom half of the conference. The red head (sorry, don't know his name) has the worst logic of all of you. Flip the home sight, and the other team wins? Seriously?

So happy to see the ignorance of PSU like this, give me so much more confidence that Boise is gonna beat the breaks off of PSU. I love it how they all count us out. Let’s go Boise! And this is my favorite BSU podcast guys, keep up the great work.
@calebblaser1055 LMFAO, As of 11 a.m. Monday, Penn State is an 11-point favorite, according to Caesars Sportsbook. The money line is Penn State -430 and Boise State +328, while the over/under total is 52 points.
Are you guys this stupid to think SMU would have had a win in their field against PSU? Look at the level of talent between the two teams. You will see NY eve what they will do against Boise
Only one of us said that, and I agree, not sure I agree (as I said). I will say if SMU scores on that first drive, and their QB doesn’t completely crap himself, it’s a closer game. But I agree, PSU wins that game 8 or 9 times out of ten. They were the better team.
Lol, you can tell the kid with the blue hoodie knows absolutely nothing about football. SMU QB didn't give Penn State 3 touchdowns. Penn Start forced those Ints by 1. Being in the correct play and reading it. 2. Pressure created by the front. Forced quick bad decisions On the run.. Sure, things like weather, home field, etc. factored in. But they certainly weren't just gifts. And SMU was averaging 39 points per game. Penn States starters held them to 3 pts. Their running back who averages like 102 a game with a 5.7 avg. Penn State starters held him to roughly 40 yards and under 3.0 Avg. On offense they had not one but two running backs avg 6.4 yards per carry. To put that into a perspective. You'll understand. Jeanty avgs 7.3 yards per carry. He does this against garbage teams. Like Hawaii, Wyoming, San Diego state. Singleton and Allen each at a 6.4 avg against the #4 rush defense in the country. 😂 That's not impressive?
Has no clue what round in the playoffs is in, no idea where SMU campus is, TX somewhere. He bought that sweatshirt on his way tot the broadcast at the student bookstore.

So, this dude said he would take Boise St over half of the big ten 🤔? He might be right, but news flash, my Nittany Lions 🦁, the Ducks and Buckeyes are elite, you guys can't hang with us????? WE ARE 🏈 Unrivaled 38-13, enough said
Indiana only lost by 10 points. Everyone is being too dramatic
Guys, no offense intended, but you can't judge a player or Team based on their performance in One Game. Kinda lazy, just saying
SMU would spank Boise
Danny Kanel is an idiot most times, but not this time
No dude. OR run D is weak.
You’re worse than SMU in every position minus the RB. It Is a blood bath 45-10 PSU
You guys are going to be so shocked when you see Abdul Carter and the crew. Also, BTW, over 500 yards in a dome vs Oregon and is BSU a first round talent like Allar is?
I don’t think we’ll be shocked. I think PSU is very good, and clearly are the favorite. I do think we’ll put up a good fight and have a chance to win this game. We have to play very well to win this game, no doubt
@MarkMoss-ql3wx my comment was geared towards the fact that these guys make it look like PSU has nothing. Didn't even mention Abdul Carter
Wow boys…. SMU lost because SMU just made mistakes. Not a damn bit of PSU causing issues. Are you serious???
BSU 34 -24
You complaining about schedule of B10 or SEC? Com’on man BSU played UNLV, Nevada, San Jose St, GA Southern? GTFOH
Penn State is a POWERHOUSE when they run on all cylinders.
News flash… ANYONE is a powerhouse when they run on all cylinders.
@@Idaho27 No, they're not. I'm talking Elite Powerhouse-- Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, Georgia Class.
Unless they’re not running on all cylinders…
@@Idaho27 Penn State was 30 yards and one score away from being ranked #1 In The Nation going into the playoffs. What planet are you vacationing on?
WE ARE 🏈 Unrivaled 38-13 my Nittany Lions 🦁 are going to skull drag Boise St!!!!
BSU 39-38 OT
Yikes! Nail-biter!
@matt_lamm it's the Bronco way 😆
Lol, it would take Boise St, 2 games to score that much 🤣 on my Nittany Lions 🦁 elite defense!!!! WE ARE 🏈 Unrivaled 38-13
Sorry but Big 10 football is just different.
Penn State is both big and fast also loaded with 4 and 5 star recruits.
45-17
Could be. I don’t think we’ve ever played against a big 10 team or anyone with a 5 star player 🤷♂️
Cough ***oregon *** cough
so boise has slow, small players? do your research before you embarrass yourself…too late
Seriously?
Red head? Maybe we need better cameras. Glad that you watched though. Pain is weakness leaving the body. So Ive heard.
Why do these clowns come up in my algorithm, I usually reserve this time for watching Family Matters reruns
The clowns I usually watch on UA-cam are actual clowns. Scary clowns, circus clowns and old lady clowns. I get lost for hours watching them. Any good Family Matters episodes with clowns?
Even if SMU took a 7-0 lead. It wouldn’t have lasted
Why did these clowns come up in my algorithm, dam youtube
So... you don't like clowns?
Gotcha!
@@PSULyfer13 I appreciate this information.
Did any of you play football or know football in any way?
No but we watch UA-cam clips a lot. So, figure that counts
@@brandonminert6169 haha I appreciate that - I too do this -
Are you guys this stupid to think SMU would have had a win in their field against PSU?
You care too much. We’ll see
Bsu wins by 3 home runs. Maybe a free throw as well.
Has no clue what round in the playoffs is in, no idea where SMU campus is, TX somewhere.
He bought that sweatshirt on his way tot the broadcast at the student bookstore.
@@markbost5372 They have good rates on clothing.
