- Thandie (born 26-11-2018), mom: Mayani, dad: Matadi. Together they live in Zoo Antwerpen with two females (Amahoro and Mambele). In this video Thandie has found out how to climb and loves it big time. And it's time to snuggle with mum! Lovely to see how the family gives her the chance to develop herself. And Amarhoro (Eastern Lowland Gorillla) watches Thandie from a distance, isn't it the cutest!

I know some people believe no animals should be in captivity but it is so heart warming to see this little one who has absolutely nothing to be afraid of. She is safe, no one’s going to kill her parents. She always has food. What a beautiful little girl with a happy life.

Mayani is a perfect mom! and Thandie my Princess.. you grow up so fast... well she was born week later than Kintaro but Thandie looks almost twice size of Kintaro....

Thank you for sharing. Gorilla infants are so cute, and Thandie is no exception. Last week I saw some lovely footage of Mambele, and also of Thandie and her mum, being fascinated by soap bubbles. In particular, Mambele's face was a real picture!
