Mine wasn't as traumatising.... The sky was starting to rain back in the 1.7.2 demo and I was standing on the roof of my all acacia planks hovel thingy on an island. Then what I thought were these tall black squid things appeared and... oh wait yeah they did actually traumatise me... i remember changing it to peaceful to make the black squids go away. And after that most of the time i never set the difficulty to anything other than peaceful. Well i do now i stopped fearing the dark after i grew up a bit.

My first encounter was a time my house got partially blown by a creeper. So when i was trying to build it, i saw Enderman carrying a block. My first thought was “wtf is that” then I went “is it helping to rebuild my house?” I thought it was friendly only to later get beaten to death with a block of dirt

When I first started playing Minecraft I was scared, then I got used to playing alone since I didn’t know how to friend. Then when I got my friends to join me and now when I play alone now I get jump scared so easily by random mobs and I scream at my self afterwards like “you chicken!”
Fr I’m still playing Minecraft alone for a few days and it’s still scary as hell for me especially I’m caves
I get so nervous in the caves. One time it was so intense in there I forgot to blink the whole time and my eyeballs dried out 😭😂
I love how Minecraft has the potential to turn from a completely chill game to utterly horrifying when mobs like an Agitated Ender man or The Warden appear

The last reaction was priceless. That was me when I first started playing. My friends invited me to their world and sent me straight into a portal. I was like oh this place is cool. Then I was like oohhh look at these tall guys with pretty eyes. Everyone in the party started screaming telling me not to look at it. Me being an idiot just kept staring cause I thought they were friendly until I turned around and started getting clapped 😂😂

Words before a disaster
I first met the endermen when they were first released and I had only heard the basics about them; they were 3 blocks tall, could teleport, didn't like water, and would kill you instantly if you looked at it. So basically, for the first little while that the endermen had been introduced, I had avoided them like the plague. I wouldn't even look at them off the side of my screen because I was afraid of being killed instantly
I will always remember the first time I saw one, there I was, build my house on creative mode then one of my walls block simply disappeared, and some time later I saw it outside. I am not sure what I did, but I got scared af

My first experience with an Enderman was the greatest...
Started off in my first ever minecraft world. I lived in a dirt house with noob towers on all four corners so i wouldn't lose it. I had torches lined ALL around me. And my house and yard? But that's besides the point. I was playing the game after everyone had gone to bed. I was still in school at this time...and I actually decided to not got to bed and well uh...well ya see. I was in a cave and a little nervous that a zombie was right behind me...cause I myself was getting tired. At this time I was freaking out cause I didn't see a zombie and though maybe it was a dungeon or another cave next to me where I heard it. (Had headphones on) I searched around the area and found a creeper that almost ended me a skeleton that made the whole ordeal much worse. I hit the creeper into the lava and ran! The skeleton shot me into the lava and I started freaking out cause the creeper was slowly making its way towards me. So i freaked out and pressed and held the W key and the SPACE Bar so I wouldn't die. Now for all you YOUNGINS out thar...We didn't have no shields yet...so ya just had to be perfect 👨🦳. Anyway, I barely made it out as the creeper nearly exploded I took about 3 to 4 hearts of damage cause luckily i had a full suit of Diamond Armor. Yes I lived in a dirk shack with FOUR noob towers but had diamond armor. But yeah, I barely escaped the explosion started spamming the clicker and barely killed the skeleton while at 2.5 hearts...cause man skeleton had AIMBOT back in the day, I swear. After I survived all that I heard like a gargling noise. And again freaked out so I covered myself with cobblestone and hid. Luckily i had a couple cooked pork chops on me. I was trying to get back home from mine anyhow. I ended up getting lost as I used to always cause I would place torches EVERYWHERE and never tried actually placing them a certain way so I could remember. But yeah back to cobblestone bubble I made for myself. I kept hearing these really strange noises....and I thought maybe for once. I'd find Herobrine. Cause back then I was a true believer he was out there 😅. I knew that if it was I was screwed because he griefed had tons of food on him and couldn't die to normal players...or at least that's what I remember players saying...anyway back to the story. I basically sat there with my hands over my eyes slowly peeking thinking just maybe I'd see a glimpse of him, but of course no. After a solid 10 min. nothing happened. So, I decided to be brave and come out of my cobblestone bubble, and I expected to just leave the mine. But no....I broke a block and a blackish body was staring at me I panicked thinking it was another skeleton because Minecraft's lighting used to screw up a lot so i panicked and attacked it then covered myself back up. And all I heard was a screech. I freaked out so much that I closed the game and went to bed. I was a little bitch 😅. Next time I got on I remembered that it would still be there no I broke the cobblestone again and kept slashing at it. It died of course and it dropped an ender pearl. I had no idea what it did or what I'd just killed. So I talk to my father about it, big fan of Minecraft, and like most adults, knew more about the game then I did...so it really shocked me when even HE didn't know and though maybe I just had been too tired that night. So I had him sign into me and go on my world. I named it "Anthony's Minecraft World!!!!!!!!!1" (So creative) He went on and he saw what i had picked up and asked if I had installed any mods and i told him
"Dad, I can barely open the game without your help, how on earth do you expect me to know how to download mods...?"
So he laughed and looked up the item
And then we found out what it was and that was all explained. However, I never heard it's screech until my second encounter. Basically to make a long story short. I was in my house and I saw an Enderman so i went out with my diamond gear to slay it. It was then that I made the biggest mistake of that world. I first wanted to look at it cause it just looked like a tall skeleton to me but I ended up looking at its eyes....and as we all know they don't like that...It's mouth and opened and I stood there like petrified....my dad said
"Kill it Anthony"
and I said
"It's shaking and staring at me now!"
I attacked it and it teleported away So i froze again and was like,
"What the hell?!"
I then decided
"Screw this."
And tried running back home, it then teleported right in front of me and blocked my path. So now I was freaking out trying to kill it and it kept TELEPORTING. So I tried running into my house again only for it to attack me from behind. I had like 3 hearts left and was trapped between it and my door. But I wasn't gonna be quick enough to open the door and run in so I kept trying to fight it, but it finally rammed me one more time thus killing me and making me drop all my stuff. I mean, it wasnt that bad I was able to pick my stuff up again since it wasn't pissed anymore, or atleast i would've but then I got one of the most ANNOYING and most FRUSTRATING messagdd from Minecraft...."Your Minecraft Bed was missing or obstructed"
So nonowIjad to find my way back home....and I was already terribly lossed....I had never been one to stay at spawn when i started my game and set off. So i ended up losing everything...that world....I was so pissed that I ended up deleting it....yeah..not one of my best moments. Anyway i hoped you enjoyed my story. Until Next Time!

Another pro tip: Endermen won't attack or move as long as you maintain eye contact

I'd like to mention another good one I saw from Vinny's livestreams. He was busy mining and stopped when he heard a gurgle, then he turned around and froze when he could just barely see an enderman in the dark next to him, which prompted him to make an inhuman sound and run out of the cave in a panic. I had to rewatch that moment myself, as I didn't know initially why he started running. He uses a shader pack, and as a sort of by-product, anything in a dark corner, especially an enderman, becomes rather difficult to see.

I remember my first encounter was in Minecraft PE on my laggy iPad mini when I was about 9. I didn't know what it was and looked it in the eye. The second that mouth opened and it started shaking and charging me, I screamed like a little girl as I closed minecraft. The scariest part was that since my iPad was so laggy, that screech sound continued playing even after I closed the game. Didn't touch Minecraft for a whole month.
