What is interesting (and wasn't mentioned in the patch notes) on both tracks brightness level was fixed and now image is slightly brighter. I did some checking on other tracks but I didn't noticed any differences. Other than that, new trees on Hockenheim and less popping objects on both tracks.

All the criticism is deserved, they promised a lot of stuff they didn't deliver BUT the core gameplay is fun. It's a great racing game with a huge variety of cars (much larger choice than in GT 7) and online is really really fun. I love the physics in the game, much more pronounced feel of weight, understeer, oversteer etc. Pretty much everyone is focusing on graphics but overall it's a really good racing game.
Yea I think the guys focused mainly on building the physics from the ground up, they didnt say all car models are new like some people think. Imo this game has better physics on controller than ACC which means something.
"it's got a good core" should be this game's motto with how often it's pointed out when addressing the game's flaws. Honestly, the controller tuning and filtering is good. The physics are an uprated version of the outgoing FM7 model taking advantage of better hardware and higher refresh cycles. It feels off on a wheel when stacked against any other sim game. BUT, it is extremely fun... on a controller. And it drives well... on a controller. T10's ability to carry on a solid chase cam and pair it to intuitive controller filters makes for a game that "has a good core," I guess you could say. Shame that compared to other sims, when using a wheel, the physics feel like cars pogo, with washed front ends and rears that like to skirt. Breaks apart the further up the performance echelon you go with cars that are aero-dependent. Just not even remotely close to accurate. Scrooge hat off, it's coming along. In about a year's time it might reach the par it should've met on release.

That is just a fact. They went there. I'm sure some of their marketing of "built from the ground up" had to do with graphics too. My 2 biggest gripes are the car models (even the Evo 3) look bad and there is something about every car looking like plastic. Not sure if it is a lighting thing or what. Been this way since FM1 though. I can pretty much be fine with the rest, as I do enjoy playing it. I just wish the cars could finally get a photo realistic look. I wish my real life car in the game had the correct color and didn't have parts that are white where they should be red, or black parts being brown, and the several other things wrong with my car. Car models just need a huge amount of work...even "new" ones. They totally botched that "new" 95 Evo 3. So yeah, car models and whatever it takes to give a photo realistic look in this game, and I wouldn't say what I say about FM. 🤷♂️ I'll put up with the FH scenery and low quality grass and asphalt, or how there are less rain effects. 😂
With all these changes im hoping this is one of those games where you look back at it after two years and its gotten pretty good but sadly with the poor post release content pace they have going im not sure how long it will get supported. Horizon got 9 cars this month and motorsport got 1
Thats true but after release Horizon also got not so nice updates. But I hope Motorsport will also make a step forward and add more and more recent cars soon and also tracks that have not been included in FM7. If they call this game the one and only Forza Motorsport I hope they also have big plans for it and don’t give up cause right now it feels like it has a lot of unused potential.
Game is looking better and better, but as some GT7 fanboys mention they need to work on car surface materials. Imo on race cars with decals like shown here it looks very decent, but just a metallic paint always looks a bit fake in FM8. I don‘t know why, but it must be something with the reflection of light. If they fix this the cars would look much more enjoyable by default cause expensive cars deserve a nice paint without stickers. Another thing is they need to make the replays look better, with better camera angles and less greyish colors, they look like from 2005 imo. Also when driving in cockpit they need to work on the colors cause the window just adds a grey tone to the colors which is not realistic and makes the visibility in some conditions too bad from cockpit view.
I proposed an update theme of Ford v Chevy to Turn 10 where every week for two months they could do things involving the two brands battling in different Motorsports such as 60's Trans Am, 90's Nascar, 2000's GT1 and GT2, Aussie V8 Supercars (current gen cars) and GT3 which would bring in two new cars per week with the addition of Charlotte Motorspeedway and the return of Bathurst
@@Jericho398 you make a good point..... why have a rally theme rivalry but you can't actually do any kind of rally events .........at least they could do rally cross event on some of the tracks that have rally cross events there.....smh
I think they shoud remove all these filters in the steering wheel... i would like to turn the wheel much i want and not the way they want, it seems the ia is forcing how much you have turn and that's kinda weird
Welcome to racing games I guess? You think they're going to start every circuit from scratch for a new iteration? Eek. Yeah, all games re-use and update existing tracks. Nothing new here.
I disagree, the only thing fm does better is trees and outside of the track, everything else go to gt7, fm also adds trees and other objects thats inaccurate to realife, gt7 goes for a more accurate approach than fm,
I used to play Forza a lot on my Xbox Series X on game pass. Until two months ago, when some of the updates totaly messed the game from graphical point of view. The game was very good looking with good amounts of details of enviroment. Now the clouds are an absolute trash!?? No details, and painting looking. After updates I also noticed worse graphics in general. I had to stop playing the game. Its not beautiful anymore...

I agree. Still has lots of issues that are quite the pain, but it's really, really fun and feels unique.

They removed the reddish tone they were giving to the track and grass and trees. Improved colour tones.

"Updated" = it's the same. Turn 10's idea of updates and "from the ground up" development means reusing the same assets.
