I used to watch your videos for fun years ago, now I am watching them to prepare for nursing school this fall. I absolutely love when you call us dufuses, keeps us humble lol. Thank you so much for all of your help, your drawings/charts alone are a godsend!
I have a twitch / nerve vein that twitches under by left eye for like 2 months ... do you think calcium supplements will help ? I don’t drink caffeine or eat sugars
My tetany eye twitch and upper arm twitch led me here. I don’t want it to get worse and lead to Lou Gehrig like it did for my dad! I’m going to get my calcium in order asap!!!
There's one part that makes no sense. Calcium increases muscle contraction, so it's hypercalcemia that should make the membrane hyper-excitable. I don't get why that's not the case.
Acetylcholine causes contractions and ca releases ACH. Hence, hypercalcemia should be the reason of tetany not the other way round..... I don't understand?
Thank you for the video as always and i wanted to ask i have had severe muscle tightness everywhere also botox shots but they are not helping my neck and back are starting to look contorted and neck pulls to left even nerves in ears are out of control i really think they are missing something i have been getting kidney stones for years are from calcium and i get tiny bumps and throat pain around tonsils when eating alot of almonds high in calcium had to cut them out do you think there could be an issue with the way my body breaks down this calcium or as you stated maybe low calcium causing nerve exciteabiliy? I’m sorry if its a silly question but i am getting worse and no answers...
@@FR-tn4qj i have and several specialists but unfortunately no answers but I will keep trying I can’t live like this am alive but not living can’t even drive anymore and have my son who needs me ...
