  • Low HCG but Pregnant? After the embryo transfer, my first beta hCG level was low. For a whole week, I took the pregnancy blood tests for four times. This process kept me on my toes, to say the least. On top of that, I couldn't receive my test result within time, which drove me super anxious. In this pregnancy vlog, I shared all about this experience. Thanks for following my fertility and pregnancy journey and IVF over 40 vlogs. 미국사는 국제부부의 임신 기록, 미국일상 브이로그. 한글자막을 켜주세요!

I love your mindset of thinking negatively being counterproductive. Gonna use that.

This made me emotional. I have history of miscarriage and I remember looking at the HCG level not double at around 10 weeks… I got so scared. I kept thinking I was losing my baby….now I’m 30 weeks pregnant and getting ready to meet my princess soon😭❤️

I’m so happy for you! 😭 This is such an emotional journey, and I think in a way, it makes mom-to-be and parent-to-be more stronger! 30 weeks…! You’re almost there! Congrats again!!

Thank god yours was progressing ! I agree that the nurse explaining your first result should’ve just said to come back in 48 hours as it could progress and to not be alarmed. You didn’t ask for any of the negative input. Thanks for sharing. I go on Wednesday to check my hcg level as it’s the 9th day. Wish me luck 🍀

What a roller-coaster for you! Looking forward to the future updates and wishing you all the best!
My first beta with my current pregnancy was under the 50 cut off and I am now 16 weeks pregnant and all is going well, I wish the same for you!
I am the opposite to you, I find receiving lots of information anxiety reducing.

Thank you! Congratulations on your pregnancy!! I can’t wait to be done with the first trimester like you :)
Normally, I’m in the same boat with you! I love being informed and empowered to be able to advocate for my own health. It’s just that all the information about biochemical pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy that my nurse went over with me just after the first beta test was not only what I already knew (and experienced in the past) but also not actionable. I wanted to remain calm and methodical without overanalyzing the first low beta result, since the trend of doubling is more important than the number itself.
Thank you for following my journey and sending me your support! More updates are coming :)

Congratulations guys!! 🎊It was amazing to see the happiness and the relief in your faces!! 🥰 I'm going through the same journey so I totally understand the emotional rollercoaster! I'm 11 DPT, did my first blood test at 8 DPT and my hCG level was 32, did another one at 10 DPT and it came out it's 93.5 but still the nurse told us it's not high enough. I'll have the 3rd round of blood test in two days and I'm so worried... after listening to the nurse words it's really hard to think 100% positive!

Thank you! I feel you!! I would not worry so much though :) Remember the doubling times are way more important than the beta level. Besides, I think your first blood test was done a bit earlier than usual - I did mine at 9 DPT and I know many clinics do this at 10 DPT. I think your 2nd HCG level is definitely reassuring :)

@@juhuithenewyorker omg, thank you so much for your kind reply and your words, they’re definitely reassuring 🥺 I’m going through this incredible journey in Korea, living here with my hubby… being far from my other family (I’m Italian) and going through all this is hard! But seeing you and other people going through the same gives me a lot of strength and hope! Thank you for sharing such an important part of your life with us ✨

I talk about bedside manner all the time especially during IVF. Im glad this video has a happy ending!

Yes, IVF is such an emotional journey that affects patient's mental health so much. I was always happy with my RE's bedside manner, and my nurses had been very helpful and sympathetic, except that one time right after the first beta. I'm sure the nurse was just trying to inform me but it was hard for me to sit through it, especially when I was already very anxious about the first beta result...
Thanks so much for watching and for your support :)
