I’m a hairdresser and I love your result, well done. The only advice I would give you is don’t use 30 vol to tone. The point of the toner is to deposit tone so use a lower peroxide, hairdressers will usually use a 1.5% or 9 vol to tone but beware, the toner will work faster so watch it closely so you don’t tone out your highlights completely. Your toner will also last longer this way. I’m guessing that your toner washed out quite quickly, this is because of the 30 vol. Hope this helps ♥️
I tried 30vol developer with the loreal hicolor dye in golden ginger and got lifted roots but didn't work on the rest of my hair. Would you recommend 40vol developer with a bonder like olaplex with this dye instead?
@@HandbagChinwag if you’re hair is already coloured the only thing that will lift it is bleach. Golden rule- colour does not lift colour. Never use 40 vol. watch Hair Budda, he does a great video about lightening hair correctly. Good luck 🤞🏽

@@vintagebabyseventythree6244 thank you for the tips! Much appreciated! I think it may still be called that here in Australia. You should of just used bleached with the 30 with dirty hair then used the loreal hilift plus those are not toners they are color the numbers with T are toners. How did you not know that?

Hi love! 👼🏼 If you wanted to use just one toner I would recommend the 8/11 Light Blonde WELLA toner. I have an updated video on how my sister dyed my roots so you can see there what my most recent results looked like and she did use the toner I mentioned! Hope that helps 💖
Nidhi K hi love! 💖 thank you so much!💕 so following this specific bleach instructions, it was bleach to developer ratio of 1:2 It comes with a scoop so we used two scoops of bleach and measured that in grams. So however many grams in bleach you use, multiply it by 2 for the developer! And as for the colour ratio it was 1:1 for the dye we used! Hope this helped😁
Idk really alot about haircoloring stuff but I used to see my mom and grandma use lighter shade like more to blonde to get the brownish haircolor.. And it actually work all the time...i dyed my mom's hair one time and the result was amazing... Ps as I said I'm not pro on these things but it's just an experience 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks Babe! 🥰 I actually was really happy with the color I ended up with! But if I wanted to go lighter in the future I would probably bleach some more sections and then use this WELLA toner (T11) to achieve a lighter shade! www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair-color/toner/color-charm-permanent-liquid-toner/WELLA17.html
Your hair looks amazing!!! ❤ I've been wanting to dye my hair this color for the past few weeks but wasn't so sure about it. This video was my sign to do it 😂 I will order my supplies and hopefully I can dye it next weekend! 😳🤭
So my roots are grown out they’re a dark brown almost black but the rest of my hair is light brownish with a lot of highlights but I wanted that all over brown look you got, will this work? Or should I just go to a salon to get all over even color?
Reshma Begum Hi love! Thank you💞. & No my sister doesn’t work at a salon but she has a lot of experience with dying her own hair at home. She has just done her own research, so that’s why I trusted her to do it for me! haha
Hi! Your hair looks amazing. You just inspired me to do this on my own. Its my first time and I am super nervous so researching everything. My question here is, I have a level 1 natural virgin black hair. I do not wanna go super blond, its a medium brown 3/4/5 may be, so how to choose this level? You mentioned something about using a Loreal quick blue. How do we know the color level?
Thank you! 💞 & im sure you can still do this process just keep in mind that color does not lift color so make sure you start with bleach if you have a darker tone in your hair!
After your bleach it did you wash the bleach out? then added the toner? Was your hair wet or dry when you added the toner? I’m doing this color soon it’s beautiful. :)
Hi love! So yes, after bleach I did wash it out with conditioner and afterwards applied the toner onto my hair while it was still wet/damp! I’m glad my video helped you!! I’m sure it’s going to look amazing!💘💘
Ok, but does that work with already dyed black hair though? I have dyed it black for years and want to go like a chestnut brown, I wonder if it will work??
Have you colour your hair before as during pandemic I colour my long hair by myself and it's dark brown everytime I speak to the salon they seems refuse to colour my hair lighter they said too much colour in my hair.
So beautiful! you and your sister made it look easy (which i know in reality may not be the case) but your results are SO tempting to try! I am giving this a go, question, how much 30 vol creme developer did you use for the two boxes of toner?
Hi love! Thank you so much 👼🏼💞 for the Wella toners that we used, the mixing ratio was 1:2 per bottle! So we did mix two separate bowls for each toner just FYI! hope this helped & im glad you’re deciding to try it out!!👼🏼
Looks pretty on you. Been researching online to DIY balayage. What is concerning is how processes/over processing can damage the hair, sometimes greatly. You must have very strong hair for it looks shiny and healthy. Might want to look into what not to dos vs what to do so not to wind up with fried tresses.
Hi babe! 💖 I’m glad you loved it! For toner the ratio is actually 1:2 , you can also use 20 Vol. developer instead of 30 Vol. just to make it a little healthier for your hair! it’s what my sister recommends now! Hope this helps!👼🏼
Mari Gonzalez thank you Mari!💖 & oh yea they’re closed here too now, unfortunately 🙁 but I know a few certain CVS’s carry these supplies in their hair section!
No se si hablas español pero me encanto el resultado, creo que me animaré a pintarlo bueno le diré a mi esposo que me ayude haber si no me desgracia mi cabello, mil gracias por tu video.
it looks great! you said you mixes both of the wella colors. what proportions did you mix? did you just dump both bottles out and mix it with the developer or did you take a certain amount of from both bottles? and how much developer did you mix in with the wella? sorry i’m asking so many questions i’m actually dying my hair like this i got all of the products you used 😂
Hi babe! 💓 I’m so happy to hear that!😭ok so the ratio for this WELLA toner is 1:2 (toner to developer). So following these measurements we just mixed the full bottle of (Light Blonde 8N/811) with HALF of the (Medium Blonde 7N/711). & just a tip , when you have the toner in your hair, make sure you are checking up on the color & make sure you wash it out as soon as you reach your desired color preference! Lastly, after bleach I only washed it out using a deep conditioner! I really hoped this helped & I’m sure your hair going to turn out amazing! 💞
Margo Hepburn thank you so so much! i’m so nervous i’ve never bleached my hair before. i’m scared i’m gonna mess up but we’ll see how it goes! 😁 much love ❤️
Thank you!! 👼🏼💞 if you want to go more blonde , I would recommend leaving the bleach in your hair a bit longer to process, and also you would have to use a blonde hair toner after the bleach!
Hi Love! 🥰 I actually use Maui Heal & Moisture Shampoo Shea Butter! It’s in a purple bottle! I also use that same conditioner as well, and I use their hair mask which is just a DEEP conditioner! You can get it at Sally’s or Target online! It’s allowed my hair to remain super soft and strong since doing this process! Hope it helps ☺️💓💓
Would I have to use the dye brown hair first then bleach it ? Or bleach it then use the brown and then the toner ? Since it didn’t catch the brown the first time ? 🤔😅 I kinda want to try it
Hi love! Definitely BLEACH first, and depending on how your hair lifts after the bleach, I would recommend to just dye your roots! and then lastly tone your whole hair! Hope that helped! 👼🏼💞
Thank you for sharing, your hair came out beautiful 😍 im actually going to do this too. I love the length of your hair . Im trying to grow mine out but it just doesn't seem to grow, lol im stuck at shoulder length. 😕
Yeah same. I cut my hair short a couple months ago and it just won't grow , which is a first cuz it used to grow like crazy 😭 I really want to dye it a light brown though so I might just go for it lol

I should have watched this before going for a balayage. I wanted them blonde but I looked horrible when I did them. I should have gone fir something like this.
Do i need to put also the developer that comes from the toner? or just use the developer in the bottle to mix? Also how much developer did you put in toner to color your hair? Thanks
Hi! I used a separate developer to mix with my Wella toner! Depending on which developer you use, it should have the indicated amount you should be using, on the bottle! I used Salon Care 20 Vol. developer. Hope this helped!💞

it looks great! you said you mixes both of the wella colors. what proportions did you mix? did you just dump both bottles out and mix it with the developer or did you take a certain amount of from both bottles? and how much developer did you mix in with the wella? sorry i’m asking so many questions i’m actually dying my hair like this i got all of the products you used 😂
WAIT ALSO- did you wash your hair after the bleach? if so, did you wash it by itself or shampoo n conditioner?
Beautiful
I want to do more blonde
What should I change in yr instructions
Thank you!! 👼🏼💞 if you want to go more blonde , I would recommend leaving the bleach in your hair a bit longer to process, and also you would have to use a blonde hair toner after the bleach!
Hi I’m just wondering what shampoo and conditioner did you use so it won’t break or damage your hair ? And that makes your hair super soft ??
You colour is beautiful 🤩 I will definitely show my hairdresser this ❤️
Would I have to use the dye brown hair first then bleach it ?
Im shook u actually like and reply to ur subscribers 😢❤
Awh, I appreciate the support that’s why!💫👼🏼💞
My daughter hair is virgin never color her hair can I use 30vol with Hicolor brown? You think is lift her hair level little bit?
Question, after the bleach you washed your hair, was your hair wet when you applied the toner?
Yes! My hair was still wet when I applied the toner!
OMG thank you so much!!!
Loved your tutorial 😘
Of course!! Thank you for watching! 💖
We just finished washing her hair from the bleach. Then we add the toner when is 80% dry right? So far it looks great on my daughter
Oh amazing!! 🤩 You can go ahead and apply the toner even while her hair is fairly wet! That’s no problem!
Wow it looks so beautiful lots of love from India ❤️
Thank youuuu 💞💖
Came out really pretty
Thank you love! 🥰💫
What is the ratio you used for bleach and developer?
It looks really pretty ! Maybe next time use like 7ash or 8ash to get rid of any warm tones.
Thank you Kasey! 💕 I actually love the warm tones in my hair! I prefer it over an Ash (cool tone) but thank you!
Was this dark color your natural hair color or box dye? Please let me know! I love it

Thank you! 🧚🏼♂️💞✨
