Seems like an award should be in order. Splendid art !
I loved watching how you made this book. It turned out so beautifully. You chose such lovely colors for the cover. The whole book is just a tactile and visual wonderland. And I learned that you’re a twin!!!!
I think that this would be a lovely way of putting together samplers, and using the book to review what I learned. I love the idea! Your delightful book with the sweet ribbon tie reminds me of the Victorian era. 💞 It is a worthwhile project to create.
I am a creator of junk journals, some heavy with trims and fabrics. My first love was quilting. I didn't discover til my 30's. I love your fabric book. It's a heirloom.
Beautiful book! My favorite parts were how you put the ribbons and the cords for the pages. Brilliant!😊
Thank you for sharing how you attached your pages into a book. I love how the pages could be taken out should it be needed. I love how you finished the November page and your sweet story that goes with it. Beautiful work!
Hello Sonya Tfs Take care and get well soon. 💕🧵🪡
This is absolutely beautiful Sarah....thank you for showing it and the construction process.
Your hands and nails are beautiful too.❤
Sarah it is beautiful. So you, there is a serene quality in your work showing your love for embroidery. Thank you for sharing. Please keep on doing it.
Thank you Anna Marie!
What a treasure!
Thank you for showing not only the beautiful pages but the wonderful way you constructed and finished your book.
Beautiful and so fun but lots of work- love your book!💕
This is off topic but I just wanted to compliment you on how delicate and smooth your hands look ! I’m a wee bit jealous of them . Mine are all rough and dry looking . They look like I’ve been doing hard labor without gloves . lol 😂😂 Back on topic I have been watching your videos for some time and have really been enjoy them . Thank you so much.
Lots of moisturiser! 😁
Great project with your showing how to make it- thank you!❤️💕
Your book is beautiful. Loved your video.
Your stitch book is so stinking cute! Thank you! Your finishing is perfect!
Thank you Sarah, my journal is still in progress but have started to worry about how to finish it. Seen lots of videos and realised I haven left much margins. Using the strings is an idea I hadn't thought of and I quite like it. So I will stop worrying now and just get on with making the 'months'
Just keep stitching Conny, a finishing method will present itself! I didn't plan any of this, from the pages to how it was finished. Sometimes if you overthink things they never get started...
I do tatting, gold work sewing knitting and crochet i love learning something knew all my gold work has been purchased from you a lovely book x
You could put all of those things into a book like this Julie!
Thank you very much for sharing your good work
I love the book very beautiful ciao ❤❤❤
Love this! I think i will try one for the coming year. I might have supplies together to start in January. 😊
Love your channels.
Such a neat idea, I've been looking for ideas of what I want to do with my own embroidery creations.
Thank you for sharing this project. I love the book and how you used and sewed together the felt pages and created the cover. I have used the "twine binding" method in the past for paper journals and it is my favorite way to do bindings, so it makes perfect sense to use the same method for a fabric/embroidery journal. I have my felt on order from Etsy and am eager to get started !!!
Beautiful.
Really fabulous! 👍✌️❤️😊
Fabulous project love it. You have mentioned a couple of times about being unable to do tatting, I also struggled with the shuttle tatting but needle tatting is much easier. You more or less do any tatting pattern on the needle method. I watched a couple of good videos here on UA-cam to learn the basics, then I have a few tatting patterns that I used & they have all turned out quite well.
Is it the same as needlelace?
Sarah your book is really gorgeous and the story of November lovely! My favourite is the teapot cup and saucer page but they are all fabulous. Thank you for taking so much care and patience explain things to us. Following your channels is really good for my mental and physical wellbeing. God bless you love vera in Northern Ireland ❤
Thank you for watching veemcg!
I’m a March girl and I LOVE tea! Beautiful book.
Thank you Sandra!
I'm a July girl and pansies are my favorite flower and look! The July page is my favorite...although I love it all.
I think there is more to be got out of using dried flowers Thea, I shall be pressing lots of them this year!
That is the sweetest story about November's layout 😊I've never made a fabric book but I did try book binding for the first time by making my own planner for this year!
This is such a beautiful project!
I have enjoyed seeing how your book went together. And I want to say that you have beautiful hands!
Such a lovely idea. I want to make a few of these for some of the girls in my family. There are five great granddaughters, two grands, and two daughters. For the boys, I'll think of something else.
That's going to keep you busy Pam!
What a beautiful project! February was my favorite page, until I heard the story about November ❤ 😊
This book is absolutely gorgeous, Sarah. I love the story of the rose ❤
I love this, good work. It would work as a stitch sampler as well, to showcase trying new stitches. I will get onto one to use some of my Mothers lovely bits and pieces I now have & to combine with my patchwork. Very inspiring, thanks Sarah.
🌱Lovely work...thank you 🎨🪡
I’m a November child too. It was my favorite page before the story, but the story just made it especially nice. I make altered books and junk journals. This book incorporates all my favorite things. I’ll have to have a try at one of my own. Great ideas.
I like making junk journals too and am working on some ideas to meld JJ and stitching into one thing!
@@sarahhomfraycreates Ohhhhh..... yes please.... I make junk journals also and am new to hand embroidery and I want to start putting hand embroidery in my vintage junk journals. And... You have inspired me to make a stitch book and a needle book and a fabric book. LOL I am loving it all !!!
Very lovely piece. I can't choose which page is my favorite because every page is a joy to see, but I quite like how you put together the foundation. Good on you Sarah!
Your book is just so lovely. Absolutely inspiring. Thank you for sharing how you put it all together. My mind is now filled with ideas and dreams. I can't wait to get started!
That's great to hear, have fun!
Very cool. I like a pratical aspect so i would leave the top open (oe somewhere) to insert , tuck inside a card list names and dates for birthday reminders.
This is all new just a week in and i am hooked.
What a beautiful book and so inspiring! I'm going to try one for 2023! Thanks for sharing your talent!
I love your techniques to create 💕. The little book is so wonderful and thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful book binding.
Thank you Susan!
Thanks for sharing
It’s such a beautiful book. I enjoy hearing about your process of making it and your reasoning in including certain items. I make journals and your binding method reminds me of the Midori method, using elastics to bind pages. Thanks for sharing. 😃
I absolutely love your Chanel! I’ve been watching the embroidery one and discovered this one today. I am honestly thrilled to have found you. Many thanks
Thank you Ann, this is my place to have a play with lots of different creative things!
This is gorgeous!! I want to make one for 2023! Especially how you incorporate multiple crafts, I would love to do one with some knitted lace, embroidery and water colors!
They sound like wonderful ideas!
I really liked your book. There are a lot of different hand made books. I think the sewing book is awesome. I would like to try it with needlepoint stitches. Thanks Sarah.
I love the November story but August is my favourite design because I adore the colour choices and that paintbrush and clever paint trail is gorgeous. Its a lovely book.
Interestingly that was the one I struggled with the most; It sat unfinished for ages then I found the little paint brush while I was looking for something else and hey presto!
Simply BEAUTIFUL!!! TFS

Your embroidery is beautiful, love your work ❤
L❤ve this project i want to try to make it 😊
Sarah I love your book, and I’m inspired to create one! Thank you for sharing the book and how you bound it!!
Amazing ❤️
I love that project. I could more easily do a project like that instead of the motif a day thing that’s so popular right now.
The motif a day is quite an undertaking! This one is much more achievable
Beautiful 💕
A lot of time, talent and hard work went into that project.
i absolutely adore this book its just so pretty xx
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and skills. The best I've ee found for stitch books and covers😊
Love your fabric journal fabulous a sweet front cover. The tea pot in March is still one of my favourites 😀😍 the golden butterfly page stands out too gorgeous! I'm a September gal 😀
Beautiful!!! Very nice work!!! 🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
Thank you so much for showing us your work. I love it. I'm inspired to start making one and I will
Beautiful, I really enjoy see it.
Beautiful and detailed work...👍👍👍👍👍👍
Just lovely!
Really beautiful work! Love the idea of creating a book with embroidery. I used to bind books years ago but I haven’t tried it recently. Feel like secret Belgian style binding would look really beautiful with embroidered pages. I might give it a try. Great work!
I shall go and look up Secret Belgian binding!
Oh goodness this was hilarious to watch. I love your reactions to each trend 🤣. Oh and as someone who does hand Embroidery and freehand machine embroidery, I agree, they are completely different, but also completely different to computerised embroidery. Loved this video, thank you lol xx
Just beautiful! Thank you💕
Beautiful book and so are your nails!
Cada página es maravillosa, tanto detalle ❤, la felicito 👏👏👏👏🎶🎶🎶
Thank you maam for sharing
Nao entendo o que voce fala, mas as imagens falam por si. Maravilhoso trabalho!!!
I really love your technique! I plan to make a fabric book but i was looking for a way to make a cover for my hardback Lord of the Rings book-the paper cover disintegrated and the hardcover is too dull. Voila! A felt cover it is!
See my other video on how to make book covers too!
Great job 👏❤️
Hi Sarah, thank you very much for sharing. I love your book! It's so cute every single page is a very nice piece of art itself. I can't decide which one is ne favorite.
Beautiful!❤
Love the November story! I wasn't aware you are a twin!
I was the first but Caroline says that's because I pushed my way in front!! :)
Beautiful ❤
AWESOME !!! Beautiful book ;) I think maybe a piece of silk tied with thin ribbon put between the delicate 'pages' might protect them ? ;) Thanks for sharing ;D
Superschön danke ❤
❤❤❤
Can you show how you added the felt backing to your embroidered pages.
I stitched on the felt...
pretty
Alô! Descobri seu canal hoje.
Sarah, I love your book! In your opinion, can I use the batting material to practice stitches or should they be done on cotton and then attached to the batting, I am concerned about the thickness of the batting material
I'm not sure what you mean by batting in this context Karen?
I also make all of my clothes
What did you say about your sister?
Love your little book
Sara, what type of felt do you use? I made a needle holder as you suggested in another video from felt....but all I could find was craft felt. It does not look like what your using! It does the job, but I'd like to know a bit more. Thanks and great idea! Month's not over yet so I'm inspired!
Craft felt tends to be 100% acrylic, mine is 50% acrylic, 50% wool so just search online for some felt with some wool content in it. You have plenty of time to get going!
How was the mirror applied to November? It looks like there's beads all around and a different process than February.
I think that was a pre bought braid
Are you doing one for 2023?
I'm not but there are lots of other things in progress!
How did you attach the felt pages to the spine of book?
That info is near to the end of the video 👍
question: As a beginner, I'm not sure how you do a blanket stitch on the edge of the pages. I searched for blanket stitch edging on your Embroidery channel and couldn't find anything. Can someone kindly give me a link? Thank you.....
Just come up near to the edge of the fabric with your thread and stitch around the edges rather than through the fabric
Боже, как много болтовни!
