Hello Anders, I'm a big fan of yours since I started watching CS in 2014. More than 10 years of casting at the highest level is something to be proud of. You are a staple of international CS. Following this subject; I could give you some feedback if thats okay. Your strength is clearly your experience of the scene in combination with your easy way of speaking towards the community and towards an audience. I think you could gain traction by doing something like Thorin does. Making videos in between events with breakdowns of players, teams, tournaments and general things of CS. Maybe even 1on1's with (ex)players to talk about their lives (also outside CS) etc. I firmly believe that whatever you choose to do as a next step is the right thing.
Just found this video and I gotta say you're one hell of a man (which I guess can be extended to almost everyone working in the esports scene) to keep going after all these years! One thing I wanted to point out from the video was the scenario you mnetioned where one event said yes but the other (bigger) events held at the same time said maybe. I think that extends even beyond the scope of esports (at least the "core concepts" of it). I have experienced this when looking for a group for my group assignments in university where one group said they had vacancy and allowed me to join but there's another group that I REALLY want to join but they just kind of leave me to dry until it's too late and I end up being stuck between a rock and a hard place in the end. I haven't been exactly following the cs scene that closely but you're certainly one of those individuals in the scene that can genuinely make me interested in an event by the mere mention of your name. Keep up the good work man o7
We're the same age, Anders. I'm facing a similar situation, but in a different field unrelated to esports. It's been killing me for some time now, and I really don't know what to do. Unlike you, I don't have a family to support financially. I can't imagine what you went through thinking about this stuff. Good luck, sir! I hope everything turns out all right.
As you're my favorite caster since early days on CSGO, i really hope you can succeed with everything you have to go through and it's really interesting to get your own pov of the life it is and what it implies, much love Anders!
I remember you and Richard talking about mental health / difficulties in esports on trash talk back in like 2015, as you say it's very rare in esports. Anyways, interesting to hear your thoughts and will be looking forward to future videos!
It's not whining and complaining, it's reality. I just got back to cs and was actually thinking how I miss listening you casting majors and everything else. Me personally would enjoy these types of videos or anything actually as long as u making videos. U were, is and will always be best caster this game ever saw. Thanks for honesty and keep them coming and I wish u all the luck with projects and hopefully U get more gigs as caster. Subscribed and looking forward to future videos.
Hope you consider making your own podcast. Always thought you were super insightful and out of the box thinker. Utilize Skybox and make it about the current meta tournament to tournament. Flex your connection with CS Players and bring them on as guests. Ask em creative questions that aren't the standard "How did you start playing CS". Hot Ones caliber questions if you will. What ever happens hope for the best for you and your family.
I noticed you somewhat “disappeared” a little. Now I understand why. Glad you are doing better! You rocked the Elisa Masters, hope to hear you casting again soon!
It's really bizarre how long esports has been going on and how on the surface it looks fairly polished to the viewers but behind the scenes there can be so much uncertainty and horrible organization of events, schedules, finances and just generally bad management. You veterans of the scene need to be given more respect, the ones that come after you guys are walking on the shoulders of giants. Congratulations on the Skybox project btw, I remember hearing about it years ago, really cool to see it successful like this.
I was very happy seeing you cast at the last event you did. I forgot the name of it cuz my memory is horrible. But yeah, it was nice seeing and hearing you there.
I can empathize with Anders. I also like to wander through the darkness and talk to myself. With the small difference that I don't record it or upload it to the Internet.
interesting to think how it is between the events, between the tournaments / casting , I wondered for a long time how you could live like it and I had came to the conclusion that you'd earn enough on 1 event to be fine until the next. The reality seems more complex indeed..
In truth it depends a ton of what kind of life people have.. if you're single and just live in a small apartment, its probably a lot easier to make everything work on limited events, but my life is a lot more complicated than that :D
Rooting for you, man. I look forward to you creating more content.

Yeah its just.. somehow not far enough along yet? I dont know, maybe the rest of the media world isn't better, I honestly dont know :D
Hope to see you find what you are looking for Mr Anders!

Appreciate you sharing, we could all use a bit more unfiltered thoughts and real perspectives in this highly currated world
Yeah, It'll be hard to share everything you know, but ill try and be a bit more transparent with stuff!
Figure out what matters to you the most: Family, career, stability, making an impact, personal growth. This will help as you plan your steps.
Yeah you're right it does help to be aligned on what you want doesn't it
Great video really interesting to watch im exited for more :)
Cool! Subscribed. Would love to hear some more from you about the projects you are involved in. On your own pace ofc.
Peace! 🖖
