They didn't mention the name of the coaster once in that report? I know BBC don't do advertising and that, but surely the can mention the name of the ride.
Even my Dad's partner, who is a huge fan of the Saw films, has admitted that she probably wouldn't go on this ride, after I mentioned that it has a 100° beyond-vertical freefall drop.
They're not allowed to mention the theme about Saw due to broadcast restrictions with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures. Hence in all the news story they only talk about the outdoor section of the ride and hardly mention the word Saw.
@@AdamZacharyGaming ik now with defiance at glenwood caverns it's not, but even when Saw opened it was not the steepest in the world that was the s&s el locos with their freakishly steep drops and they ate classed as a free fall.
Your are year 7's and your all up for it. Wow what brave youngsters we have. I am in year 10 and totally dreading my trip to thorpe park where my friends are gonna drag me on that :S
Steepest Freefall drop is technically correct. The S&S El Loco model (which Steel Hawg is) has a trim brake before it's drop to slow the train down before dropping - so while SAW wasn't the steepest (at the time), it was the steepest with no breaks.
No no even the UK has more extreme rides than this.. In the exact same park, they have a roller coaster called stealth which ranks among the tallst and fastest in the world, and is much more scary than Saw. However, this is the steepest in the world, and they didnt show the scariest bit which is in pitch black, and it may not look scary, but it is a whole lot of fun! Totally recommend it!
I can handle the ride's G force because I was in the CCF (RAF section) while at school, and did Air Experience Flying, which included aerobatics. Perhaps the UK government ought to expand the CCF into more schools!
Diamondback is fun, but not scary. All Diamondback does is go up and down, turn around, go up and down, splash through some water and stop. Whereas this has a compact and twisty layout, really good theming, blood, loud noises and jumpy bits.
What a load of bollocks that bloke is spouting at the end. Don't you think Michael Schumacher would have developed problems by now after 20 years of being subjected to forces a 1,000 times more forces than what a rollercoaster can provide even if you ride one every day.
Yeah I love the dark bit! Stealth is carier, but it isn't the height that is scary, but its the launch, it reaches 80 mph in 1.8 seconds, and I couldn't breathe, seriously, I thought I was going to suffocate, but that was the fun bit!
im sure i will love it thorpeparkmaniac, i live for rollercoasters and other hardcore rides and your right, everyone has a different idea of the worlds best coaster so it will never be certified
They didnt show the added saw bits before frightmare maze and the characters with the chain saw and jigsaw saying do you want to play agame? Inside the bath room trap
The best drop on any coaster has to be on a 4D coaster... Either X2 or the bigger copy in Japan. The first drop, coming backwards over the 90 degree fall and flipping halfway down, nothing is comparable. And I've had my share of rides (Kingda Ka, TTD, Superman ROS SFNE, Shrieka, Oblivion, etc.).
Their not saying if u just go on this ride your going to get brain damage, but if u go on it excessively, too many times then the acumilative effect could damage your health, which is believable when u consider the high g-forces on rides like this! Went on this for the 1st time on Saturday and have to say it is absolutely brilliant, definately 1 of the top 3 rollercoasters in the UK. And yes whoever mentioned Kingda Ka as being the tallest it right, it's like Stealth but over 2wice as high!
It's not by 112* Mumbo Jumbo is only 2 degrees steeper. They haven't lied. Saw is the steepest 'FREEFALL' drop in the UK. Mumbo Jumbos drop is controlled with breaks as it drops.
I really want to go on this it looks just like the hollywood rip ride rockit and ive been on that so i am gonna be ready for this if I get on it lol xD
Have to agree with comments earlier aswell that I was actually more scared at the bit inside, the drop in the dark feels alot bigger then it actually is! I think my stomach went more on that then the big drop! It's nowhere near as scary as it appears, Stealth is still more intense imo but this is a better overall ride.
2 hours!? i waited just over 3hours, when i first joined the queue it was 4hours, it broke down the first time everybody left and cut it down to 3 hours...broke down another 2 times though...but it was worth it...
i was in ques for 2 hours and it broke down but i didnt leave queue, it was worth it, i am a big adrenalin junkey so i need something better than thorpe
i havge been DIEING to go on this ride since the end of september, i cant wait till we go there for outr school trip this year! is it true that the best ride in the world is in cedar point in america? has anyone been there?
please, 100 ft?! I've been on a 275 ft freefall drop that has more g's than this thing. Sure it's not at 100 degrees but it's a far cry from the 275 ft one.
I think rollercoasters are good for you, all that adrenaline that wild animals get that we never do cos we sit around in offices all day, we need an instinctual rush to stay healthy!
i went to thorpe park yesterday. it was empty so i went on saw 8 times because the waiting time was only 5 minutes
lucky :(
Asjad naqvi that’s what I was gunna say
Backyard Youth Wrestling Lucky
How did your head survive?
They didn't mention the name of the coaster once in that report? I know BBC don't do advertising and that, but surely the can mention the name of the ride.
I went to Thorpe Park on a school trip today and this was the first ride I did. Loved every second of it.
saw is awesome ........The g force is my favourite bit
what
@@ThemeParkUK the Gforce on Saw
🤣 Imagine paying the news to come and advertise your new ride and they follow up with a documentary about roller-coasters causing brain damage !

this is my fæv ride at whole park! by far the best one there and I've ridden everything (backwards and forwards on some)....
Fantastic ride. ❤ It would definitely go on it again.
It's an amazing coaster and one of the best ones at Thorpe Park. But it's not the steepest drop in the world, it's Takabaisha
it was when it opened, and still is the steepest free fall as takabisha uses brake fins on the drop
Coaster Movies It's not the steepest drop in the world; but they are still right today, it's the steepest *freefall* coaster, even now in 2017
It was the steepest at the time

it's not even that short, compared to stealth.. it's a MUST you have to go on it. So scary
Love Saw movies
this ride is actually amazing!!!!!
Thing is, when it opened, Saw was the steepest in Europe. Steel Hawg opened at Indiana Beach in 2008 and had a 111 degree drop, compared to Saw's 100.
Steepest Freefall drop is technically correct. The S&S El Loco model (which Steel Hawg is) has a trim brake before it's drop to slow the train down before dropping - so while SAW wasn't the steepest (at the time), it was the steepest with no breaks.

I cant wait to go on friday!!
Theres a brilliant POV video from Skynews on youtube too....
loved this ride , but colossus was the best ride at thorpe park
i luv this ride

The man on the right from 1:07 to 1:32 is Darren Smith, say hi to him next time your at Thorpe
The tallest coaster in the world isn't in Japan. It's in America. Search for Kingda Ka.

OMFG, amazing *-*
I was at Thorpe Park yesterday and I love it and I’m eleven
I first went on it when I was in year 4
They didnt show the added saw bits before frightmare maze and the characters with the chain saw and jigsaw saying do you want to play agame? Inside the bath room trap
She said 100ft drop, she meant to say 100 degree drop
Yes there is a drop in the dark in the beginning just after you leave!

Eejanaika is the one in japan
Cant wait :)
Am I the only person who looks around and takes it all in when I’m on the lift hill?
i do that too the view is pretty nice

If you went on it once every year would brain damage get worse?
I've been on this ride myself.

Why not. I've been on straight after lunch and I don't even have to queue so it was even sooner and I was fine. :)
@mAnclTy No it was Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland. Also it's actually 230 ft not 275ft, must have mixed up the heights with another ride :P
What a liar the lift is really fast
The ride has a 100ft drop AND a 100* drop.
i love this ride xD
ahh cool thanks (:
sounds awesomeee

all that crap about cumulative brain injuries - what a killjoy. I've loved roller coasters since I was very young and still have all my marbles!! :-)
iseeproductions100 exactly that guy is just scared lol he scared of heights that’s just the uk imagine the American rides lmao
this ride looks fuckin amazing!! i cant wait to ride it. ;-)
Oblivion is only 87* Saw is 100* which means that saw is Steeper by a whole 13*.
Oblivions drop is still better, cause u cant see the bottom and the actual drop itself is longer by 80'ft
I went on this yesterday it was not terrifying it was relly fun! xxooxx
Rollercoasters causing brain injuries 😂
Freddie Chandler no they don’t
This news is stupid
I really want to go on this it looks just like the hollywood rip ride rockit and ive been on that so i am gonna be ready for this if I get on it lol xD
If there is cumulative damage, then I should be dead by now, I've ridden 100 or so coasters this year alone and I feel great!
Not yet, but I assume once it's open one will appear online VERY quickly.
2 hours!? i waited just over 3hours, when i first joined the queue it was 4hours, it broke down the first time everybody left and cut it down to 3 hours...broke down another 2 times though...but it was worth it...
cool cheers :)

Nice !!!
Mitch Hawkers poll finds out the best coaster in the world every year. :)
@Itzladner15 Oblivion is 167 feet but only 70 feet of that is underground!
Me watching this in 2020 went this October they say that they hope it pays off
Me: holy shit it did
It is no way as scary as they make it out to be. The only part that actually scared me was the suspense the actual ride was fine lol
its not the biggest its the steepest - and the queues can be up to 3 hours - i only had to queue for 30 mins tho.
'When you're standing next to this rollercoaster it really looks terrifying.' It really isn't.
i was in ques for 2 hours and it broke down but i didnt leave queue, it was worth it, i am a big adrenalin junkey so i need something better than thorpe
that ride is soooooo good i rode it its not scary aprart fro the queue
what happens inside?
somebody told me there was a drop or something inside before you go out onto the main bit?
its 99ft tall ive been on it and it says on wikipedia
True.
How awesome would it be. if the ride was inside in the dark with strobe lights and flash effetcs.
Yes it is true
The harnesses used on this ride put some pressure on your private area if you're a man. But I suppose that fits the theme of the ride.
Its actualy a 99ft drop but whatever! I can't wait to go on it! Im going to thorpe park soon to go on it! and can I just say thorpe park kicks ass!
i havge been DIEING to go on this ride since the end of september, i cant wait till we go there for outr school trip this year! is it true that the best ride in the world is in cedar point in america? has anyone been there?
My english teacher brought me here ^^
Lol I was wondering why they kept on saying, ride, roller coaster, attraction etc.
please, 100 ft?! I've been on a 275 ft freefall drop that has more g's than this thing. Sure it's not at 100 degrees but it's a far cry from the 275 ft one.
Maybe. You'll have to go see. *winks*
stop comparing other rides to SAW. seriously its a good ride. it may not be the tallest or the steepEST, but its certainly steep.
Thorpe Park in England
It's actually 100ft and 6". Haha I know too much about this. :P
Speed at oakwood has the exact same drop
I prefer speed’s first drop than saw. But saw has better theming but speed is taller and I also faster.
Omg I hated this I fell like I was gonna fall out 😕😕
@nigelvids nope oblivion was made before saw
alton towers is legendary
@fuzzy1416 No its not it only has a 95 degree drop!
@TwilightSpeaker is that shiekra just a guess
@fooba456 Yea but mumbo jumbo has brakes to control the drop, where as saw dosen't, making it a free fall!
Where is this
TWSS @ 1:08
Went on it today, not really scary at all, the whole ride is too short.
I think rollercoasters are good for you, all that adrenaline that wild animals get that we never do cos we sit around in offices all day, we need an instinctual rush to stay healthy!
And Wikipedia is reliable how?...
It's actually taller than 100 feet. By six inches. :)
Fucckingg helll i'm scareddd"!!!!!!!!!
i hate kill joys like that luke guy, rollercoaster are fun who cares if they are bad for your health
@CatStarxo Oblivion is 180ft ;)
Luke Griggs
Killjoy
Enough said :)
been on this aint even scary but its a good ride like all the others finishes too quick
live pause :O
ExTrEmE G-FoRcE
hollywood rip ride rockit goes straight up and is 167 ft tall.
MidnightLuke219 so what
Rip rocket is shit there's barely any airtime and half of the ride is just brake runs
