i think the market that needs to be explored is existing landowners. (And new home owners.)
What would it take for a company to do an assessment, recommend an installation. and offer financial terms, based on grid pricing on installed energy until repayment?
It seems to me that landowners with energy bills are a pretty good potential income stream, if a large number of them are bundled and sold to Wall St as a green investment.
Better yet, roll out a plan to take plants off the grid at the same time.
Car loans work well enough, why not solar installation, or even window treatment loans?

He's wrong about nuclear. Nuclear generally bids into the market at a price barely aboce zero, alongside wind/solar, because the running costs see extremely low (fixed costs see high, but variable costs are negligible).

Born in 1952. Combined energy costs gas, petrol, electric took a significant chunk of our parents income. They respected the energy and were very conscious of any waste. Today at least where we live in Ohio energy costs are miniscule in comparison to income. Wasted energy often 60% of total. Many friends and family have 2,3 or more homes. Idiotic fast food boxes blight the landscape aling with strip malls as far as the eye can see. Using energy etcetera 24x7x365 mindlessly. Our state government, most corrupt inept in Ohio's history involved in a bribery scheme involving FirstEnergy corporation a large supplier of electricity in the state. Passed a bill which forced Ohioans to subsidize 7 failing coal plants outside of Ohio. Also subsidized spinning off 2 nuke plants that were not profitable for FirstEnergy. Why??? Ohios Republican thugs love to claim they're capitalists through and through. Yet they control energy prices forcing suppliers to sell at margins so slim the company can't afford upgrades and improvements. Company turned to bribery. Sadly comical to watch the entire saga including two suicides by men involved, several in prison. And q couple of Republicans so powerful they've avoided inquiry into their obvious complicity in the scheme. All this to say down with capitalism IF WE EVER GET IT. Actual capitalism would include cradle to grave lifecycle costs. This would spur innovation and new businesses that would address the problems. Unfortunately the incumbents have no interest in governing a system which can look past 30, 60,90 days demand for high profits. The orange moron drill baby drill ignores the reality that no nation has more holes drilled into it than US. We treat hydrocarbons as if they're flowing like the mighty Amazon forever and ever.

On the second listen through, I can’t understand how nuclear energy makes any profit

They create energy. Customers purchase their energy. It's cheaper to produce over the life of the reactor once you have paid the upfront costs.

Don worry we are not solving the climate crisis and no renewables are not cheap if britain was only using natural gas, it would be a lot cheaper

Grifting in what way? Literally all they stated is that Nuclear is only cheaper if it's considered over the lifetime of the reactor or power plant. They also stated that renewables are fairly expensive to centralize like a nuclear plant.
Renewables are not as profitable as other methods of power generation. I am sorry that you disagree with actual facts. If it were more profitable then it would be the preferred method of electricity generation right? It's not. It's heavily subsidized and still not as profitable.
These aren't debatable statements. They are literally physics and how investing works. Why are you complaining about reality itself and information that you could verify in 2 minutes using your web browser? Nothing discussed here is even debatable. You are yelling about your opinion being provably false. Sorry
