- An episode of the New Zealand version of the gameshow, Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego hosted by Phil Vaughan with Nina Nawalowalo as The Chief and featuring the musical talents of the Chemistry Boiz. In this episode Eartha Brute has stolen the torch from the Statue of Liberty and three gumshoes have to track her down and hopefully capture Carmen Sandiego.
Unfortunately the tape this came off has not aged as well as the Shining Time Station ones have and has deteriorated a bit over the years, so there's a couple of cuts where the DVD recorder couldn't read the tape and a chunk that seems to have been cut out completely due to tape issues, but most of the episode is there. There are a couple of other episodes on the tape, so hopefully those sections of the tape are in better condition.

I remember Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego used to on the old PBS kids back when Shining Time Station and Lambchop Play Along was aired a long year ago, when I was little in the state of New York in the United States
A very faithful adaptation of the US version, I must say. One question...was Dominique trained by Michelle of the French Resistance? (kudos to those who got the reference)😅
OMG I haven’t seen this in a long time and I’ve been trying to find the NZ version but had no luck. I used to to watch this show all the time after school and would race back home to watch it when school was finished. Thank you for uploading this and if you have anymore episodes please upload them if you can!!
For the very, very first time, I’ve seen New Zealand’s version of “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?”
Greg stop being rude to the gumshoes and step in my office on the double. I never heard the chief say that.
They even did an American version of this same episode. Same crook, same monument, same premise....Eartha using the torch for her own Olympics.
