This was a great indepth review of the clamshell trailer by Cody (who should do all your tech overviews if he doesn't already!) This review showed parts that aren't on other overviews. Good detail and a nice presentation: straight and to the point. Thanks for this!
This is a model company, and staff like this man is priceless. As a business owner, I appreciate my working family, but my working family also appreciates me. Thank you for sharing knowledge.
Does a great Job of explaining the Nautilus system as well as the Cassette toilet and mentioned the fuse for the toilet. great employee to take you through your trailer. Save this vid
This is an excellent detailed video for all new owners and for those of us looking to purchase a unit. Details of how everything works and how much expected general maintenance is required. Well done and articulate. Thanks!
This video was great. It answered so many questions. We are sold on the Clamshell for fun outdoor camping. We are two women looking to go teardrop camping but uneducated on mechanical devices. Thank you so much your technical gentleman. Did a great job!
Yes, this was the best. Some by other companies or salespeople are just awful. I like this DIRECT and to the point. Mandy Lea Photo does a nice overview as an actual user and she's lived in hers!
Love the video! Literally answered all questions I had, with one exception. I notice there is solar on this unit, how does that function as it relates to the camper?
Excellent instuction here. Thanks much for it! One question though: At about 6:15, the presenter mentions that the Thetford toilet gets flush water from the trailer's water supply and it doesn't have its own reservoir. Other videos I have seen point out a fill tube that swings out above the removable cassette where sanitizer and flush water can be added through a funnel that clips into the handle when not in use. Is that missing in this video, or did nuCamp change the toilet setup at some point to get rid of those components? Possibly this is just a difference in models or something?
Great video!! 2 things on the winterization process however: 1.) first you need to drain the HW tank by flipping the safety/drain valve inside the trailer. 2.) You also need to drain the fresh water tank by opening the fresh water drain valve behind the passenger side wheel. These need done before the blow out process. Is that how you understand the process? Also, the factory recommends using non-alcohol based RV antifreeze to winterize the trailer.
Great video - thank you. That said, at about the 8:15 mark when the video discusses filling the fresh water tank, I don't find it clear as to how you would know whether the tank was full. Is there an overflow value in the event the fresh water tank was overfilled? Is there another means to know how full the fresh water tank is?
He gets to that later when he’s going through the inside. It sounds like you have to use the indicator light on the panel, so you either need a helper to watch the panel, or you have to go back and forth to ensure you don’t overfill the tank. 37:39
This is such a great detailed walk through of the systems. Much appreciated!!! We recently bought the 2021 non-boondock 320 cs-s and have been working through figuring out the systems. Our heat/hot water does not seem to be working. We've only tried it dry camping on propane only. We had a fan failure message at one point. The battery was full. Are we doing something obviously wrong? Any advice on things to check? Much thanks.
Is the refrigerator just 12 volt or does it also run on propane? Saw a video with Mandy who is a rep for NuCamp and in her video she states it is a two way. What are the two ways? And what size is the refrigerator?
I love the clamshell T@B ...we currently have a T@Gxl and love the outdoor kitchen. Having an indoor countertop is also great for rainy days ... we could still make coffee! However, my husband just pointed out that the way the pass through cabinet doors open into the kitchen, prevents anyone from opening them when the kitchen hatch is closed. With the Vistabule teardrop, the pass through cabinet doors are sliders... with screens... making it super efficient. Maybe in the future, nüCamp can design the doors this way. ua-cam.com/video/Lx0CBHruDv4/v-deo.html Thanks for the great T@B tour! ~ Maria
Why would you want to access the kitchen area from inside the living quarters when the kitchen hatch is closed? You can still utilize that storage area from inside the cabin for non-kitchen stuff, like clothes, etc. I would think the only reason you would use the pass thru from the open kitchen is to pass food supplies/cooked meals back inside where you can sit at the table.
@@cgan2013 I should have added this clip from Cosmo's tour of his Vistabule teardrop. I forgot that his teardrop has a more curved tailgate and it also has a window. When he opens the passthrough it actually gives him view through to the back of the teardrop. It also gives him access to anything on his countertop. ua-cam.com/video/Lx0CBHruDv4/v-deo.html
I don’t really see this as a drawback. It’s nice to be able to access the cabinets from inside to get snacks and coffee, etc., but I can’t imagine wanting to actually reach through and grab something from the counter if I weren’t actively cooking out there. The sliders would also make it so you couldn’t have the full length of the cabinet open at the same time, which I would rather have when cooking in the outdoor kitchen.
CODY you rock! straight and to the point for all parts. truly love the winterize and sanitizing part..well done.
Great job Cody. The more I watch these video's, the more I want one. This is the first one I watched with the clam shell. I really like these.
Glad we can be helpful!
This is an excellent tech walkthrough! What a great resource.
It really is a great video!
Such a great technical walkthrough! Thanks for sharing!

Well said!
@@RVTechToursatPrincessCraft Cody is a keeper. Pay raise! He's probably sold more of these than a sales rep. Seriously.

He did a great job explaining everything. My daughter and I want one just like it.
Best product informational video ever.

I agree Cody is the best at these, very detailed. Thank you!
Possibly the best walk through video I’ve seen. Well done thank you.

That was an excellent breakdown of features!
Perfect walkthrough. Watched it 3 times and I decided to go with this model. thanks!
Yes, I felt the same. We are probably going with this one. Also good to see someone walking around inside the clamshell for actual scale.
Wow, thanks for taking the time to go over the whole trailer! Very nice detailed tour of the trailer that other videos do not cover.
Our pleasure!
Great job Cody!

How do you know when fresh water tank is full?
Very detailed and easy to follow. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Water tank is full, pump is on, but it WILL not pump water to the fixtures

Curious how tall you are... What's the clearance under the clamshell, in the galley?
Shocks for off road tires will be nice 👌
Wow you’re good!

So this doesn’t have the option to hook sewer at the camp right? We have to keep dumping the cassette.
Yes, cassette has to be emptied. No other way to hook up.
What will be happen If closing main door while screen door closed?
Not much!
Is the refrigerator just 12 volt or does it also run on propane? Saw a video with Mandy who is a rep for NuCamp and in her video she states it is a two way. What are the two ways? And what size is the refrigerator?
The two ways are shore power and battery power. It doesn’t run on propane.
This is my next trailer as soon as I sell my 2018 tag outback XL The girlfriend needs the bath and shower featur 😁
Hope you love the upgrade!
