😭😭😭 Wow, thanks so much for sharing your story and prospective, Abby. This video had me feeling all the feels and I can't even put anything into words right now but this was so encouraging. 💕
I'm so glad you filmed this from your perspective. Parenting is the hardest job, and when your called into foster care, it gets 10x harder...not just parenting your foster children but always worrying how each placement will effect your biological children. I pray our boys always knew and felt the motivation from God through the years we fostered. I do know they love their little brothers so much, whom we adopted through foster care.
This is so great I really enjoyed watching this and hearing your story. I am the only biological child of my parents and I have two adopted siblings. They were adopted at birth and they are older than me so they are all that I know. And I love them so much. We are all extremely close and I can't imagine life without them. I only remember once thinking that they didn't like me because I was the bio kid because they chose to have a private conversation and I wasn't allowed to listen in. The conversation was just not appropriate for me at my age and that's the only reason I wasn't able to listen but as a child I didn't really understand that.
You seem like such a genuine and caring soul. Thank you for sharing your perspective. My 8 y/o is hesitant for us to foster, because he’s scared to have to say goodbye. I’m glad I stumbled onto you video, I’ve been wondering what to say to him.
Another important point IS each child is different & requires different parenting techniques. It Does Not mean you love one more than the other! Parenting hurts at times with both biological & adoptive kids. Lean on God!
