4 Oz is for normal bicycle tires! I use half of this bottle on my 20x4.0 tires ( as recommended by slime themselves and Mr Taffy or else for this size or Motorcycle). So with normal fat tires , you can basically use the whole bottle
@@MrInternational17 So far, good as new. Holding the air perfectly. No leaks whatsoever. But, was a very slow leak in the first place likely due to a grass thorn.
Very very helpful! Thnk you,and i know you didnt, but i like how a problem arose when you were fixing it. Cuz it always happens! But never in any videos. It always seems to go perfectly and i feel like an idiot when i have other problems while i fix it lol. Thnx again
I would be terrified to ride further than t he end of my driveway if my bike was doing that. I only had like 160 mi on my bike. Never had any problem. Im about 3 mi from home. WHam. Back tire goes flat. Look, Im 70 yrs old and Im 3 mi from home. Old lady is down at the beach. (Good place for her) Kids are who knows where) Im walking. I negotiate a place to leave my bike. The next day Im reading how to take tire off. Thats a "Nogo" It aint happening. So I snatch innertube out from between gears and spokes etc. I pump up a little bit. I can hear it. I see it. A tiny hole that looks like a whisker. I mean it. How coould that thing be blowing air like that. I cant even get 5lb pressure! So I get a patch kit. Put that cement down, and put one of thise orange patches down. Its been 3 days. I keep squeezing it. Its hard as a rock. Gauges just dont seem to work. For me. IM lookiing at this slime thing as a backup remedy. Id rather make it toubeless, you know? Im still paranoid aboutgoing anywhere. I saw one guy who crammed a strofoam worm in his tire. But all that requires taking the doggone tire off.
Awesome video. I hit a patch of thorns with my rear Kendra tire and I was stressing about removing the tire and tube. I think this will fix the pinprick holes easily in the tube. So excited to give this a shot. Thank you!
I would have thought these wideass tirers would be indestructable. I never left the road hardly. I aiint no BMXer or Mt Bike nut. Jeezus Im 70 yrs old. I should be on the porch! har har. Noway. But tell me did that pinprick leak so fast you couldnt fill it up?
@@ziblot1235 It all leaked out over night and I didn’t know it had a leak until the next day. This was over a year ago tho and I haven’t even had to put air in. 400 miles.
@@YeBittenDog EXACTLY the same thing happened to me. I tried a tire patch but my tire is too huge for it and the pressure made it pop off anyways. and it is impossible to get my back tire off the actual bike unless i wanna take apart complex electronics so.. im hoping this will work, did it work for you??
I had a similar problem to you when inflating my fat bike tyre, even tyhough the bike was upside down. Tip - use soapy water and a paintbrush to coat the bead and rim, and keep checking the tyre is within the beads every few pumps. The soapy water helps the rubber bead settle into the rim as the pressure rises in the tyre.
My issue is that no matter what I do once I connect the hose and try to start filling my bike tire it stops flowing as soon as it reaches the valve. After that it’s practically impossible to get the gel into the tire no matter how much I squeeze the bottle.
@@TheChico1332 yeah weird i just did mine the back tire no problem filled up without an issue just like the videos but the front tire i did it the same exact way tried to 30 minutes and i couldn't get more than a drop in not even 1 oz i got 3 inch fat tires i put 8 oz in the back tire i dunno what it is
I watched this video and I thank you for uploading. I still messed it up tho. Glad I did front tire first. After I added the slime I got the tire spinning and the valve stem got sucked inside the rim. Not a big deal but still had to pop the bead and partially remove tire to locate and reset the stem through the rim. Maybe this will help someone else. Put the air in first! 🙃
hey Tony! Are you still doing videos? I would love to chat with you about maybe doing some product reviews or features for a company I work with. Please let me know if you are interested!
Hate to say it...but I had to laugh as expected the tyre to jump rim...and it did! I've learnt to do in stages, keep a rubber mallet ready to tap in as tightens - then do a dance!! Nice video 👌👍
is this good for prevention? Any issues with it freezing or hardening causing imbalance? Any corrosion issues? Do you need to replace tube after 2 years?
Thanks for the vid, I put slime in my fat tires and then stupidly inflated to 40 psi like the tire said, forgetting about the additional mass of the slime. The bead popped off, even after reducing to 15 psi which is right about the least you’d want to ride it at (fat tire chopper bicycle). Might try one of those tools since it’s not wanting to set back by itself, thoughts?
DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE A SHARP BLADE TO CUT THE HOSE OUT ! YOU WILL ONLY CUT INTO THE THIN BOTTLE ,WITH GREEN SLIME DRIPPING DOWN YOUR FINGERS AS YOU SQUEEZE THE BOTTLE JUST RIP THE STICKY PAPER OFF
Does it stay a liquid or not !!? What is wrong with you people !!? Nobody could give me a simple answer !! Does it harden under 2 years or stays a liquid after you put it in !!!????

Slime has a calculator on their website. It calculated 9.4 oz for my 26" x 3" tire.
@@coloradopeoplesnews7676 wich is about 275ml, wich is half the bottle in this video. Seems accurate. I use 390ml in my 26x4.0
Used half the bottle, put the air back in and the tube blew up! 😂
I'm about to add slime to my fat tires. I'm glad I watched your video first. Now I know what I'm up against.
Great video. I'm glad you encountered challenges because it showed me how to avoid them.
Great video. I followed it and worked perfectly for me fixing a flat in my Lectric XP. Thank you for the detail
Did you need to change the inner tube after using slime or it was just good as new ?

I was losing about 3lbs of air a week on my RadRover. I added the Slime and the pressure has not changed for 2 months.=)
Dang that's awesome thanks for informing us mate!

Can this be done while the tire is full or when it's completely flat ?
Thank you for your review it helped me a lot my friend 👍🏾
On a fat tire e bike I'd use the amount recommend for a moped
Bottle says 8oz for "motorcycles" - I'd definitely go with at least that!
Yep, slime calculator says 12.5 oz for a 4x26 fat tire, not 4 oz.
How much do you insert into a 20’ 1.95 ?

How many spins ?
So your supposed to fill up less air than before the slime? Mine is 40psi should i only fill 35psi after slime?😊
where are you tool dude tony??
Ok how did it work long term
Tony do you still have the Studebaker? Not seen for a few years.

When you're home alone.
Hi how would you know if you got a puncture if you got that slim in side? Is there any take take signs?
Bloody auto correct lol
the included plastic Schrader valve-stem remover is almost worthless, I've got a metal valve-stem remover on order because of it.
GRab the handbreaks and standing behind the bike just walk it back. Its so simple you wont belive it.
Very informative video, you must have known the Tyre was off before inflating.
Still very interesting.

You didnt check for what caused the leak in the tire.
probably a hole somewhere
I think he was using it as prevention.
Miss tool dude vs wild videos
Where you been? Cleaning out my non active subs. Come back to us.
How tall are you?
