Thank you. This worked so much better than the tracker. The tracker had the text jumping around too much.

What a brilliant tutorial. Thank you. You have a new subscriber 😀👍 Followed your video step-by-step while creating one of my own and apart from a few goofs (by me), I achieved what I wanted. The only difference was that my sequence finished with a backwards flight, so I started off with the large text and reduced the Z value to bring the text in at the end.

is there any way of doing a fly out in reverse? say You wanted to reverse the clip and fly out and fly through the O...I set my initial keyframes very upclose at frame 0 then would gradually move out to reveal the whole word but it doesnt look smooth. I dont know what im doing wrong. i can upload my clip and send it to you and maybe you can give me an assist? I have a reveal drone shot flying backwards that I wanted to fly through text backwards. Let me know. Thank you in advance, this was great help

it only works with the same speed like the forward move of the drone. the timestamps of your keyframes was rehearsed before. So the effect is not as simple as you present it here.
You need a tracker for this effect.

You should be good there. I’m thinking it could be the position of the camera. In the Fusion page try viewing the 3D camera in one view and the 3D merge node in the other viewer. In the transform settings of the 3D camera move the Z value and watch what happens on both views. You should see the camera moving the the 3D merge and the view of the camera changing in the 3D camera view.

You threw me with avec. Yeah the Resolve 3D tracker is very good for what it does. It takes longer to set up and not really needed to add something like this. Blender tracker to Resolve- way overkill for a simple thing like this. This would have been a 30 minute tutorial. Maybe I’ll put something like that out for a VFX shot if I’m doing a project where it’s needed.
