I bought shuttle passes as well but ended up driving all days because we saw how long the line was at the Rio. Only took about 1 hour to drive and park. Just going to drive from now on.
That sounds like a good idea! The drive in has definitely improved over the years. The best advantage is having a cooler with snacks, drinks and ice for when you return to the car. We’re going to try premier shuttles this year and possibly Uber there for opening ceremony.

My pleasure, I’m glad you’re finding it useful 🙂. If you want to be on one of the first busses going out, I would recommend getting to the Tropicana pickup area by 6-630pm. Bring headphones to pass the time and water and snacks-save the alcohol until the festival 😅. Last year we went got to the pickup area at the mid strip 8:00 pm and it took almost 1 hour to get on a shuttle.

Awesome, thanks for your feedback and for subbing! I spoke with some headliners who raved about premium parking. This is the first year I’m not buying a shuttle pass (so far 😅).
The lot is right on Las Vegas Blvd. This year when we took LV Blvd with a friend, it was a peace of cake. If you do premium, stay in the far right lane and switch over just before the premium parking gate.
The GA mid-strip shuttle stop is near the premium shuttle stop, so we were able to see the premium shuttles, and they definitely looked nicer to us. Although, we've never been inside one. The GA shuttles are big and hold a lot of people in them. We've had shuttles in the past that didn't have AC. Some of them had restrooms that were out of order. And, with premium, I think the shuttle is there waiting for you at your scheduled time, right? I would definitely do a premium shuttle for that 6 am pickup!

Very informative.. planning on going to 2023 edc next year but I’m such an old fart that were thinking about taking our own car there, what’s your honest opinion should I take the shuttle ? Or drive my own car? Cause I’m just afraid I can’t hang up till 4am .. thanks
It depends! My wife and I are the same way, so we chose to go earlier and leave earlier (by approx 3am). If you want to get to the speedway for opening ceremony (5pm-7pm Cosmic Meadow opens before the rest of the speedway), the best option is by car. It took less than an hour from the strip to get to the speedway by 6:30pm. If you’re leaving the speedway before 4am, it will take approx one hour to get out of the parking lot - which isn’t bad compared to leaving when then fest ends 😅. This year, we’re planning on buying premier shuttle passes with dedicated pick up/drop off times. And, we’re going to do the helicopter one way on Saturday evening ☺️. Consider the different options, but as long as you’re not staying until the very end, you’re probably good 🫶.

If you miss your reserved time we will honor your pass at any official Standard EDC Shuttle location (note: Standard Shuttle stops will NOT feature merchandise pickup). Standard EDC Shuttle stops will have a fast-pass lane through security on the inbound trip for Premier shuttle pass holders, GA+ ticket holders, and VIP ticket holders, but this fast-pass does not prioritize premier passes once past the security checkpoint.”
