Who is a doll, who is a girl, who is alive, where are the lines...LOL, who knew AG was so existential. 100% agree about your Josephina love and also those mini room sets were everything!! I'd love to find one in tact now but I bet they're a pretty penny on eBay haha. Thank you for the video! Love love love the commentary and sound effects, you make it so funny to watch!!
I love this era of American Girl, but I was too young to even know what they were in 2002. I love these videos! Your sound effects and comments always make me laugh!!
Lol Bitty Baby definitely does not turn looks! I’ll go to AG Place with you! You can say you’re escorting your 37 year old auntie who has arthritis (not a lie!) so she can reminisce about her 90’s AG days. Y’know, back when there were like 4 dolls and that was IT! And I feel like people always think Samantha is Victorian when she’s more so Edwardian.
Yes! I would also love more Behind the Scenes of the company and the creation of the dolls in both the storytelling and production aspect, which they don’t want to show kids because it takes away the magic. I need to know it all!! Also, what about “The Matryoshka Effect” for the Doll Fractals? Lol Doll Theory in Space and Time.
This was so fun! I remember this specific catalog issue, the images of things I wanted as a child still burned into my brain. If you can get your hands on a 2000s Lisa Frank magazine that would be exciting, I was also deeply obsessed with those. I think it was a short-lived publication, unsurprisingly.
When and if you ever do my two favorite ones are Kit and Kaya. Kaya is the most adventurous one to read! Her books keep you on your toes which I love! My absolute favorite is Kayas hero.
I had the board game! There were only questions on Felicity, Samantha, and Molly (I believe)... There were only questions about 3 dolls. The game was just okay, but my sister and I enjoyed it as kids!
Fun fact. The american girl place Chicago used to be down the street from water tower place. They moved in fall 2008 to water tower place. The american girl doll Marisol actually has the old address on her ID dance bag. Water tower place does NOT do the shows because they don't have a theater like the old location did.

So glad you enjoyed it! And thanks for the sound effects comment - I have fun putting them in. I will never not laugh at a fart sound.
I LIVE for these videos!
:)

I love this era too - and I think we can appreciate it even more now in retrospect. Thank you for watching, Lindsay! :)
So cute!! I vividly remember this catalog - thanks for sharing these!
Thanks for watching, Kristine!
Thank you! I loved going through the catalog with you!
Thanks for joining me.

I think AG Place would make a killing with Adults Only nighttime events. They could have a bar in the doll cafe!

Interesting! I did not know that, thank you!
I am curious if you have your own American Girl dolls or collection
Nope. I'm mostly a print media collector - but I do find dolls fascinating!
@@ColeChickering that might be good. Once you start, it is a very slippery slope. 🥰
