I still can’t wrap my head around the phraseology Jesus used “eat my flesh, drink my blood.” Maybe something lost in translation but as the good friar says “trust Him.”
Hi Fr. Chapin, you probably do not remember me. I used to be a parishoner at St. Leo's in Inwood. My husband and I have moved all the way to Oregon. We are currently going to St. Ignatius in Oregon. That was a big move for us 8 long years ago, but we are happy, and looking forward to being retired, sometime. Anyway, it was great to see your smiling face and hear your take on things. We just got back from the National Eucharistic Congress, a few weeks ago. We had the best time, and have renewed enthusiasm for the Eucharist, church and the whole ball of wax. You are right, the Gospels need to be in our daily life. It should be a habit, a good habit, but a habit nonetheless. Just keep on doing what your are doing. God Bless you, Fr. Chapin.
I believe they should make the mass hour and half more preaching encouraging the people to read the word daily we will and inpack for Jesus Christ bring this to Pope Francis thank you amen
