Like my dad used to say about being married to mom for 50 years, and 8 kids, faithful daily masses, houses, cars, jobs, sicknesses, feasts, fasts, new stuff, new friends, old friends, businesses, travels, wars, colleges, so much life him and mom had, me included, he said as he was dying: "Why you crying? We had a good run, son!" So I try and live with that in my mind.
The night before my dad died he and I were talking and reminiscing, I was crying, he said "it's ok, it's my time. When your number is up it's up. I've had a great life" Even on that last day, he got to witness one of his granddaughters take her first steps. I'm blessed to have given him one last joy. God bless you

Loved that analogy of the burnt lock of hair and so it will be for us. It's so true earthly food doesn't satisfy us forever. But, the food God gives us will satisfy us forever 🙏.
I often ask God in the resurrection to give me perfect recollection of those memories with my children when they were little. The most beautiful and fleeting of events, intense hard work and transformational and yet almost ephemeral. I look at those pics together with them and mourn the passing of those days and hope God will allow me to recall and be grateful for them again when he returns.

Thank you Bishop Barron. I’m almost “there”. But sometimes, I think we all NEED “a firework”. And unfortunately for me, I’m picky, and the particular fireworks I need are almost always… “forbidden” (for one reason or another). And that’s absolutely maddening. And lately, outside of mass, that deep frustration often leaves me beyond depressed, and just outright despondent. I’m so very grateful for the prayers that have been answered. And I know this “purgative” state most of us are in should be joyous. But for me, lately, it’s been anything but. And that makes me a bad priest, prophet, king. Sighhhh, I wish I could just be at mass all the time. But, knowing myself, I’d probably get bored of that too. The struggle you speak of is, indeed, SO very real 😖🙏🏻
I always love your homilies, Bishop. What an eloquent reminder of the immovable and eternal Kingdom of God in Christ! This is what we must seek as everything else melts away.
Everything in this world is the creation of God! Let us focus on our Creator, not his creatures, they cannot fulfill our heart's longing for eternity and the infinite
Itwas a blessing to attend the Wonder Conference in Rochestwer over the weekend and hear Bishop Barron deliver this homily , Yesterday as he gave us this hmily he said "Catholics are not puritans!" Yes we can enjoy but know none of that is eternal.
I Love the famous saying from Sn Augustine .. “Love God ☝️ First .. then do/love anything else “ And YES.. don’t attach to anything, but only to God God bless you bishop Barron ⚡️🫶⚡️✝️
“ that’s it everybody “ , you’re right of course. I’ve always looked at life and ,Fourth of July fireworks, first snow, thunderstorms , baseball under the lights , convertible cars in the summer, crickets, a cashmere sweater on a cold day, handholding , hugging , laughing, making a deep connection with someone, a hot shower , coffee in the morning , sunshine days that go on forever, the sound of a foghorn , that first kiss when love is certain, all of these and any other moments ,are to me , natural highs , they’re my glimmer moments. We only have moments in life , only moments and they are sweet because they are fleeting . Kind of like the last day of school, and the next thing you know it’s Labour Day weekend, horrible. Lolol Triple B you are adorable and I love you . I was thinking about my glimmers, natural highs in life because they are just that. It sounds like I’ve had this super sweet life and I have for all the right reasons, keep in mind though that in my life there has been suffering and continues to be as everyone does . I’m grateful that in that suffering I have glimmers and they mean the world to me because of the suffering. Does this make sense? One of my favourite books on my coffee table is 10,000 things to be happy about , many of the “ things” pertain to the Creator .i love this book , I pick it up often especially when I’m having a bad day.
Absolutely beautiful comment, and so very true. Thank you so much for sharing your divine take on BBB's beautiful sermon. A beautiful kayak ride, true belly laughter, a natural high, a "boy high", being with your girlfriends, the sound of a thunderstorm rolling in, being picked up at the airport by loved ones who can't wait to see you, etc etc etc. we can't have these beautiful moments in life without the black holes (lol), loss, suffering. One does just not exist without the other- they only exist in harmony and perfect flow. Thank you, anneturner2759 for sharing your beautiful comment with everyone. Sighhhh, I wish I could just be at mass all the time. But, knowing myself, I’d probably get bored of that too. The struggle you speak of is, indeed, SO very real 😖🙏🏻

Everything in this world is shortlived, thank you Bishop baron,
Thank you Bishop Barron. I appreciate your efforts to support our understanding of our Faith and its implications to our everyday life 🙏🏻🌹✝️🌹🙏🏻
Very apt message.
Just loved it . The message keeps burning in my mind , in my heart ♥️! God bless you Bishop Barron. We’ll praying for you! Thanks! Thanks a lot !
I love Bishop Barron clearly used analogies to point the clearly all the scriptures to explain love the living bread from heaven who is Christ forever
I always love your homilies, Bishop. What an eloquent reminder of the immovable and eternal Kingdom of God in Christ! This is what we must seek as everything else melts away.
Absolute truth, Holy Eucharist! Amen. Thank you bishop.
Love it, Ecclesiastes in a nut shell, my favorite Old Testament book. Have read it dozens of times, and it still inspires peace of mind.
Everything in this world is the creation of God!
Let us focus on our Creator, not his creatures, they cannot fulfill our heart's longing for eternity and the infinite
Thank you, your Grace ...for your great sharing... only Christ is mine forever.
Peace be with you
I always get so much from listening to you. Thank you!
Hello son of Zion
Thank you so much Bishop!
Itwas a blessing to attend the Wonder Conference in Rochestwer over the weekend and hear Bishop Barron deliver this homily , Yesterday as he gave us this hmily he said "Catholics are not puritans!" Yes we can enjoy but know none of that is eternal.
Yes, we were there too! Fantastic conference.
Seek first the kingdom of God and everything else will be given you as well🙏
I Love the famous saying from Sn Augustine .. “Love God ☝️ First .. then do/love anything else “
And YES.. don’t attach to anything, but only to God
God bless you bishop Barron ⚡️🫶⚡️✝️
you bring fire to the word
Blessed Sunday!
Hello daughter of Zion
Hello daughter of Zion
Lolol
Triple B you are adorable and I love you .
I don't care.
I will be praying for the person that "doesn't care" LOL ❤️❤️ peace be with you!
Thank you
Been saying for years Bishop Barron should become a Pope 🙏🏽✝️

Hello my brother in Jesus Bishop Barron! Thank you for taking the time to greet little ole me? A tear of joy for Love of God, for you & your team of angels at WOF ministry!
Thank you for helping me to understand, intelectually, my lifelong faith, and the courage to evangelize others.
Thank you for the Holy Hour book that has helped me to focus on my prayers. After my husband’s death of over 50 years, it had become very difficult for me to do.
