- Well, here we have the very beginning of the Pet Shop Boys legend. Whatever else you might hear around here came after this first two demos...and the history of pop music from the 80's to today would have been very different if these hadn't existed. These were the original demos presented to Bobby Orlando to convince him to make a record with them in 1984 (I think I prefer this original demos more than the later Bobby Orlando produced versions, already around on UA-cam!). The third one, is a later work but also highly interesting pre-Dusty Springfield version featuring the vocals of Alle Willis, who co-authored the song with them.
I hope I can surprise several fans with these rarities, and that they will enjoy them as I do.

Antes..se supone que son los demos con que lo convencieron de trabajar juntos... los dos primeros.
Esos snippetts, al menos los dos primeros demos, los escuche por primera vez en un documental radial de la BBC llamado Pet Shop Boys Really. Son los demos grabados en el estudio de Ray Roberts entre 1982 y 1983, lo curioso del primer demo de It's a Sin es que se oyen algunos riffs que posteriormente fueron usados en If Looks Could Kill. El demo de WHIDTDT nunca lo escuché antes, pero si se sabía que originalmente iba a incluirse en Please.
El de WHITDT fue emitido en una entrevista a Neil sobre Dustin hace pocos años. Ojalá salga a la luz también más material "underground" de Behaviour, una vez pregunté en un foro a Harold Faltermeyer y no tiene ni idea donde acabaron esas demos... como coleccionista es algo que llevo esperando 30 años. Y la version que hizo Steven Lipson en 1988 de "Left to my own devices"...

The Oppertunities demo sounds a lot like 'The Bad Touch', which was funnily inspired by the B-side of that single.
That's because..as we can hear on this demo, both songs came from the same original piece! Different parts of this demos evolved into "Opportunities" and "In the Night"..both share the same origin! ;)

You´re right.."Opportunities" and "In the Night" seems to be born from the same orignal demo! They´re twins... for sure that´s why "In the Night" was the b-.side of the original single ;) (I always found a deep connection between the remixes of both songs included on the "Disco" album)

Creo que aún no han surgido completas, esto es lo mejor que he logrado conseguir al día de hoy. Ojalá algún día decidan editar al publico alguna de estas rarezas, la calidad de sonido es muy aceptable! Mucho mejor que la de demos posteriores como los de Bobby Orlando que siempre se consiguen en peor sonido que estos.

@@HiddenNoonollety lo más detallado que puedes encontrar sobre la cinta demo de Violator es en la Depeche Mode Live Wiki, viene que pistas contiene incluido Mother Me, algunas diferencias en cuanto a la letra de algunas canciones a su versión final
Según fuentes de algunos insiders es que las demos están digitalizadas de la cinta DAT pero no se piensa que circule pronto, ni mucho menos se sabe si se tradeado, el dueño es receloso y no quiere que caiga en manos equivocadas y termine circulando como las demos del Delta Machine por el alto valor de coleccionismo
