I'm just gonna go ahead and say I think this is the greatest soca song of all time. Every time I hear it is as special as the first. Even the darkest day can be brightened by listening to Gypsy ❤️
Thanks everybody. I'm glad. You all like it. That's what really matters. To make the people happy. Gypsy's best Party Soca Tune piece "Soca Train". Arranged by the late Clive Bradley in 1982. Who mostly worked with other calypsonians. Throughout the years like Blue Boy, Mighty Duke, Lord Kitchener, Lord Nelson, and a few others. I can't remember. Thanks for the support. Thanks for commenting. Happy Holidays everyone. Have a great 2012.
The Mighty Gypsy. Say what you like, this man has talent. Great song. Trini socas were the best back in the day. The young artistes have changed the formula and now only one or two songs are worth listening to. The other island now far more sweeter music than T&T. All Iwer, machel, buji and crew want to do is put yuh hand in de air.. errant nonsense. They need to listen to some of these older soca songs and hear how you can have good beat, melody, rhythm and lyrics and make sweet party. wonderful punch lines/catch phrases. It is a real pity.
I think soca made a full circle because today's soca has come back to its root with a lil twist in the rhythm. But you don't hear much of the jump and wave anymore which I can get with.
I'm bringing in the new year with this
