Nice. I like the portability. Thanks as always!
Thanks Dave! Pretty cool little slider.
Dave Dugdale and sliders are what got me into better production quality back in 2012- it’s a classic combo! I’ve been shopping for a motorized slider for a long time, the price is the only thing that’s put me off.
The Enthusiasm Project what would be the ideal price point for you?
it's a great combo, but I have had troubles buying a Dugdale here in the UK :(
From the thumbnail I thought you were gonna be reviewing a bag. Lol. Nice video as usual!
That is a nice compact slider, some trend i lately see is another adjustable rail in the slider that makes the camera pan during slide(something like the Askanks S2-normal controller or bluetooth version) and also available for around the $250-300 dollar mark. I still use some "analog" tech to make sure my camera is level with help of a hotshoe bubble level.
Nice one!
Quick tip: Remember your smart phone can (with the right app) act as a water level if you need help in setting up your rig.
Thanks for the tip
Hi Dave, Te he! A new market segment - DCL - Delicate Consumer Level. Ideal for those with a nervous disposition! BobUK
Does the 8" of travel seem like enough? I'm weighing the amount of travel vs the size. It'd mainly be used for time-lapse while hiking.
Depends what you have in the foreground. If you have something close to the camera in the foreground it is plenty enough
Great looking footage Dave!! I've been looking for a motorized one myself. This model leads the pack but I still can't justify the price. I just don't do that many slider shots. And I have one (non - motorized) - unrelated: Headed to NAB again this year?
The Post Color Blog what price would you pay for it?
@@shouldigetit Not sure. I would think if it were $250, I'd pick one up. I could probably book one video shoot that justified that price. But any more than that, as it is now, and I really would have to think about it
@@PostColorGear That's my mindset about it too. $250 would be a no brainer price
Not going to NAB this year. The Smartta slider was around $250 when it first came out, but now it is up to $400.
@@DaveDugdaleColorado Yeah I noticed that. I was peeking at that one too and I was surprised to see the new price. To be fair, it seems both sliders are worth the price. And who knows, I might pick one up eventually.
Killer slider for the price
Who Wants To Live Forever need Rhino ROV Pro Slider
Wow that's really portable
What's the tripod ?
Avesome
Great video, but Ashanks slider is cheaper
