I also brought back my whole book library from Texas haha. I also made a stop at Half Price Books. I miss that store so much. And your sweater is such a fun color. Looks great on you!
Hi from Texas! Yes, that sweater is amazing - I love it! What a great haul. I read The Woman in White this year and loved it. I remember when you made that video about it. It is one of those books that really hooks you in. I also have The Moonstone and hope to get to it sometime this year. Hope you have a great reading year!
* Where can I get one of those sweaters?! Hello from Prescott AZ - are you from Texas? So much enjoyed hearing about all the amazing books you’re planning to read: are you retired or independently wealthy?! Actually I’m recently retired and - with my abbreviated attention span - I’m focusing on essays and short stories, so I do appreciate your book reviews. Might you be able to recommend a Japanese short story collection(s) in translation? Wishing you a great 2024 in Japan! 👨🌾 .
I'm so interested in Our Story. It looks beautiful in both the story and design of the book. But it's so expensive when I checked the price at my local bookstore. I hope to get the used one at a good price for me.
PS: Just found a "good" condition copy of Our Story online for $3.69 + shipping. It would have been nice to order a new one but folks on fixed incomes can't be fussy about a book's condition, unfortunately. I'm just happy that it is available and affordable!
"Books are so expensive in the US, no wonder why nobody wants to read" This was on point. Also very interesting TBR for this year added some of them to my wishlist really enjoy how descriptive yet on point this walkthrough was.
"Our Story" is definitely my kind of read and even better that the author has illustrated it himself! I am going to look for it (hopefully a used copy is available...)
Amazing you read so many books. Love your channel 🎉.
Thank you. Not reading so much right now, or rather, I'm reading lots of pages but no so many books.
I'm so happy I found your channel! So many amazing books :)
Welcome! Happy to have you here!

I love highlighter yellow on me. Matches my summer dress perfectly.

Thank you! You too!
Very interesting TBR. I am ecxited to see some of your reviews during the year. Do you have an additional tbr for japanese language reading?
Not of this moment, no. Japanese language reading is unfortunately not on my mind right now. Will try to work my way back to it though.
Great haul!

I work a standard 9-6 job and am still a bit young for retirement. I would suggest for you the Oxford Book of Japanese Short Stories.

I was very lucky to find it for 10 dollars.
