The eyes hurt to see Matthias Schoenaerts, in his roles he is handsome, strong, and shirtless. Whith Marion Cotillard he was a true spectacle to behold. Greetings from Barranquilla, Colombia.

@@perrygreek Yes! Very expressive eyes In Far From The Madding Crowd too. They gave him the role of Gabriel Oak, who is definitely one of the most adorable literary characters, and he was perfect.

It's wonderful to see Matthias having the time of his life. He's a magnificent actor and holds your attention with his moves, skills and love making. He has great genetics, meaning he is so handsome.
His eyes are very disarming, in a way that he doesn't have to speak, and yet you understand what emotions he's trying to say...and they are deep.
One of the most "expressive" eyes I've ever seen ... , a very "genuine" and direct - intuitive person!I have been studying him from his interviews ...and, believe me: I have never studied any actor or actress, before!His childhood story, also, intrigues me ... and I would like to "paint" his torso!

Totally agree. He is particularly handsome in this interview. What is he smoking? Very thin cigarette. Anyway, love how he speaks to her. He is very polite and gracious.

Matthias, as Ali, had so much to learn, being a parent, housemate with his sister , new job and developing a love affair with Stephanie. He did such a wonderful job. Your heart aches for him, he had to off by himself to regroup. It was a wonderful story. Hw is so kind to his fans. He's such a friendly and warm man. I can hardly wait for his next love story.
My favourite scene in Rust & Bone is at the aquarium when the Orca comes to the glass. Expected it but still amazing.

As Matthias plays Ari, as a character that does responds from a Stream Of Consciousness. He responds to someone who always seeks him out. Stephanie loves him after the accident and sticks to Matthias as he fulfills her. He has a great deal of love to give and she wants it. He is such a great actor and I look forward to his next film and everyone after that.

Brutal, fragile??? Not the impression I got. Ali is a rather terrible person. Certainly didn't love him. He treated his son badly. Didn't think about his sister. Treated Marie poorly-willingly fucked her without commitment. Only when something bad happened to his son that he turned himself around. So ultimately, I did not care for him. But kudos to Matthias that he would play someone like this.

+J Silver Yeah I know. I suppose everybody has flaws or is entitled to a vice, but I find smoking just stupid. It destroyes your health, endangers your life and shows you are addict. I actually see him smoke a lot in interviews, I hope he at least asks the permission beforehead, because smoking in other people´s presence without asking if you can is just rude.
