I not only believe that there is no scholar of his stature profundity of religious thought and precision of its understanding and lucidity of his articulation in the Muslim word, but I also believe that I have yet to see anybody more profound just and humane than Professor Javed Ghamidi sahib, when it comes to commentary on social issues including human rights.

You are correct, I too have same feeling about him, but with some riders,
1st : He seems to be impressed with first world countries....
2nd: He doesn't support implementation of Sharia law as country's law.
3rd: He doesn't support the idea of Tablig
4th: His different definition of Ayah 3:10 "You are the best community ever raised for humanity-you encourage good, forbid evil, and believe in Allah. Had the People of the Book believed, it would have been better for them. Some of them are faithful, but most are rebellious."
In short he want to make Islam as other religion... as they are private matter Islam too became private matter, I think which is against the nature of Islam.
If we follow him and pray "Salah" in Jama'at then one person will be making "Sajdah", someone will be doing "Ruku" and someone will be in other act...
Although I really appreciate his knowledge and learn a lot from him, but try to match his thoughts with the basic thoughts of predecessors, and believe me writing these lines is nothing but foolishness on my part, because I have no qualification or have knowledge like equal to a page if he is book with millions of pages....
Thats good you are trying to find a parallel of Ghamdi sahib in his contemporaries, but I GUARANTEE that there is no one. He is the only living perfect scholar.

Javed sahab, By your analysis with reference to father of history, Ibne Khaldun. you have proved that most the third world countries are in deep shit but what is the way out,nuanced mention of khadim rizvi shows your acuemen to understand history, you are supposed to be the advisor to PM of Pakistan but you are driven out of the country which shows mess Pakistan is in, me from India, a bit better position but far from perfection.

Respected Ghamdi saheb, Thanks for your eloquent explanations. But please allow me to say that many times in your lectures/discussions in the past, you have tried to prove that in democracy, it is the majority who rules and its representatives have the right to make laws and practice whatever kind of democracy they want in their country. You said the same about Pakistan and its never ending problems. But what you are saying now about an ideal democratic state is little different then what you said earlier in my opinion. In this discussion you seem to recommend the Nation State as the best form of a democratic government, where all people are equal regardless of their color cast, believe and race. Great.. but I see some contradiction here. Please correct me if I am wrong. In the same context you mentioned the recent death of a mullah in Pakistan who created chaos, divided the country and successfully spread hatred for non believers/minorities there, but the whole Pakistan and the world witnessed that there were hundreds and thousands of people in his funeral which proved that it is all about the might of the majority. So in that situation of a nation how the democracy or the concept of a nation state can grow? Do you have a practical solution to such problems in Islamic countries in the light of Islamic teachings?
In this discussion, you also mentioned Bhutto, and praised him for his wisdom and creating a unity in the nation, and that he managed to bring every body on the table to sign the constitution bill. Well, was it not the same Bhutto who smartly caused to give away half of Pakistan, divided the nation in the name of democracy and played with the nation in the name of religion. Not only he sowed the germs of religious extremism and terrorism which Pakistan is still reaping, but also paved the way for legislating inhuman blasphemous laws against minorities. Aren't you suggesting a Nation State where everybody is equal with equal rights? So please specify what do you suggest and why for Pakistan. Also, you seem to suggest Western monarchy type of democracy for Muslim world, especially when it comes to Pakistan, which is not possible, because it takes a monarch, and why would you attach monarchy with democracy? Is monarchy in any form not undemocratic and a burden on modern economic world? I agree with you most of the time, but sometimes, I disagree with you too, because you seem advocating and recommending Western model to follow when it comes to suggesting democracy in Pakistan and rest of the Muslim world. I understand well that most Islamic countries including Pakistan are not able to cope up or to compete with the modern world because of their extreme religious views and practices, but how important it is to seek the solution from others' religions and their way of life, and not to follow what Islam has to offers as solution to the problems of the modern world? Why we have to be liberal extremists in order to compete and coping up with the modern world? Does Islam not offer solutions to our problems?
Respected Ghamdi saheb, Reference to your evolutionary theory in politics and democracy, you gave example of European and some other countries like Turkey, Malaysia as models, and same time you mentioned Banu Umaiyya , Banu Abbas to today's governments, but I wonder why you did not mention the rule and role of 'Khulafa-ay-Rashedeen in early Islam, and how the State of Medina was run which was very relevant with the topic you spoke on? And last but not least, throughout your conversation, you did not even one time mention what our holy book Quran, or holy prophet Mohammad (pbh) say about the concept of ideal state in Islam. May I ask you why you prefer and tend to quote and give example of developed Western world only, and seem shy to explain the beauties of Islam which has solutions to the problems of what modern world is facing? One of your recent laadla followers (Hamza Abbassi) who loves to be all over in the lime light for cheap publicity and he has spent enough time with you and your son in law, is back in Pakistan, misquoting Quran, appeasing and interviewing his hum niwaala hum pialah IK, who knows nothing about Islam but loves to hold tasbeeh in his hand for show off, do sajdah on mazaarat, and loves to misquote Islam and Riasat-e-Medinah to get some cheap publicity. This guy (IK) can't even pronounce our prophet Mohammad's name (pbh) fully and properly. What would you say to such people who lead dual lives in my opinion. If you praise Bhutto, then you must be praising your pupil's idol Mr. Khan too. Please, please, do not get me wrong and correct me if I am wrong. It is unfortunate that the person and the scholar I like and respect from core of my heart (Mr. Ghamdi) seems to support and give boost to the needs and wants of liberals. That is is why most of your followers are from liberal fraternity. They seem to like you because you talk what they want to hear to carry on with their kind of modified mod Islam. Having said that, I assure the readers that I do not belong to or affiliate with any religious extremists group or sect in any manner. I believe in evolution, moderation and seeking solution to our modern day problems within the teaching and parameters of Islam, and there is no harm in learning and adopting good things from any country and culture of the world, but seeking excuses and adopting others vulgar culture in the name of modernization and freedom of speech and expression, is nothing but complexes and not taking pride in the religion we believe in. speaknothingbutruth@gmail.com
There are a number issues that afflct Pakistani politics. Issue number one is that powerful elite players have hijacked the system to benefit themselves and strengthen the grip of their parties over their voters. If you take an example in Punjab and Sindh. In Punjab N-league and in Sindh PPP have had total monopoly of power in their respective provinces. And neither party head is too fastidious about bending the power structure to get thing their way without any check or balance. The rest of the party leadership has been rendered spineless because no one is allowed to disagree with the top leader. Party leader on the other hand takes care of their acolytes by ensuring that crums from the spoils are shared with his minions to keep them sweet. The third element that entered our politics is naked criminality. Resourceful criminals backed party leaders use politics as shield to protect themselves. In return, criminals pay back the leader by donations to the party funds. How do we break this stranglehold of criminals disguised as politicians on our body politic? Mayyam Nawaz and other politicians are threatening mob led violence against state institutions if any questions are raised about their accumulation of wealth. How should the state deal with this dilemma?

I hope you have an idea about the duality in the policies of so called Democracies, freedom means the way it is defined by the Govt of the that country or parliament, it is ok to be married gay couple, but it is not ok to be wearing hijab in public by Muslim women.
It is Ok to me prostitute and they have the rights in a given country, but as "Muslim women" they cannot wear Hijab...Yes it is so called "freedom" which prevails today.
Equality is just in the books, current world order is working for Capitalist regime, Democracy and capitalism are failed ideas and it has been accepted and academician in universities are discussing the replacement philosophy (please search on youtube you will find the discussions)
Present ruling philosophies(democracy / Capitalism) are inherently flawed, because these laws are drafted by the humans, who understand the things on trial and error basis, that is why we always have amendments, and few greed people always twist the law to benefits for few elite, we can very easily quantify the gap between the constitution and reality on the ground.
Country is not just geographical area, country means "the geographical area in which a regime can implement the accept constitution" or in other word "Law of the Land", and this law is drafted by few people with their own psychological limitations, their baggage of growing up in limited exposure to human needs and requirements...
Anyways it is very disappointing to listen from you that you are trying to justify the present philosophies which will be shunned by the people in future, which is inherently flawed.
When you try to make difference between "Nifaz" and "amal", you indirectly fell into the trap of separating the religion from politics, this is the problem for All religion(including communist) except Islam, becuase all other religion doesn't provide guidelines of ruling the masses.
We have to implement the Law given by Allah on the land like not supporting the Gay marriages , prostitutions, Riba based economy, Standing with victim not with criminal when deciding for heinous crimes and like rape and murder.
Single biggest problem with Muslim ummah is that we are at receiving end, we are consumers, we are not the contributors, doing less or no inventions, most of the Muslim rulers are parasites' and common Ummah is just living for bread and butter, in old days we have role models which we use to see and mould ourselves, today our role models are people with more money, we don't respect a person of integrity or person like you, we respect wealth person and wanted to be like them and most of us don't even think for a second to be like you.....
I hope you are fully aware about how America and European countries used the slave to improve their economy black in America and other nationalists in Europe they have been brought to these countries forcefully, these champion of Democracy has given rights on paper only.
